  • do it chromatically ...................

  • That is Damn Good! I thought you done a good job, Those high notes are a real bastard to get.

Want to have some fun? Put a Trumpet mouth piece in a Trombone! Now you have a slide to play with and have Trumpet notes! Cool! done it a few times.... Had a Olds Trombone.

  • @xXxPhuker Or just buy a soprano trombmbone that is pitched like a trumpet and you can play those same notes with a slide.....

  • I wish i could do thaaaaaaat

  • i can beat that lmao

  • bieberz low note

  • giggity

  • fucking brilliant

  • HOLY F****** SHIT

  • man. i see all these people playing higher then me i plan on being section leader!! i need to be better then i am (im above average WITHOUT PRACITCING) i know i need to practice though. im a talented/gifted child but i lack in studying or practicing things because im lazy like that! anyone have any tips for me and dont just say practice tell me what to practice. Basically i want a better quality and range and i know you wont know how i sound because you never heard me but just tell me something

  • @perry367 just go from the highest u can play to the lowest note like sluring and bending them

  • @perry367 Only 1 advice, practice scales, scales and more scales, start at low C play the scale and go further with C# an so on and so on. do that EVERY day.

Get your hand on the Arban Book and practice that to.

There are no "magic" tricks to get up in range, just practice, and you will get there.

I hope this is usefull to you, and good luck.

  • Good range.

  • nice job

  • How the fuck did i end here......=(

  • Hax.

  • flat.

  • im double g

  • thats awesome man. i am at a double C right now

  • just make sure u work on the lower amature kus ones you start to get those high notes going ur amature gets blown

  • i know a trumpet teacher how plays the f in the 4th octave as a tune, but that in the video wos no tune.

  • now control it.lol

  • Lisa Stop That Screaming! LOL!

  • What the fuck just happened? My head hurts now. Imma go lay down...(I mean that in a good way)

  • My friend and I have had to play notes like this in songn hold it for 3 measures! And im only 13 and I think she is 14! Your good

  • @basketball30rocks ok no u havent. this was actually a triple high C so really good job to the player in the video. for basketball kid, video or it isnt real

  • Nice.

  • Your animals and neighbors must HATE you... You're amazing.

  • Good shit. I was about to bitch that this is NOT a triple G but from the explanation given, you played the note you said you played.

    Good shit bro! Good Shit!

  • at ending u could hear a fat lady getting tired of screaming

  • I can only hit three octave c on a good day but I am only 14

  • @russellgoo97 i can only hit a triple low octave c but thats just me.

  • DAMN!!!!!!!!!,,,,I ONLY CAN HIT MY THREE OCTAVE E FLAT

  • Fuckin shit man

  • omg

  • Why do some folks just bash others here? It's really Kindergarten style. I'm a clarinetist who doubles on trumpet sometimes, a little, and I'd rather like to know how this high-note playing is done. Instead of bickering you should rather try to explain how to do it if you are such smart trumpet players.

  • @ErnieHollerhagen you have a really good point. but i just hate being attacked just cause im a freshman especially since im very capable at trumpet

  • It's only a double G... Note a Triple G.

  • OMG DAMN!!! NICE~!!!!!!!!!!

  • must be a shcilke mouthpiece lol

  • that wasnt a note that was a squeak. if you say it is then i can do that and im in 9th grade

  • @TheDandyAndy26 No offence, but you're a freshman,....who apparently can't scream on trumpet.

  • @PetalTrumpet95 that didnt make any sense at all. i can play higher then most of the seniors at my school and i know what a note is and that was not one. it was pinched not full and over all a squeak. so dont even talk to me

  • @TheDandyAndy26 Wow, that's really pitiful and immature.

  • @TheDandyAndy26 if u really were a good trumpet player you would know that the only way to hit those notes was to pinch really hard and squeak. so u dont talk to us

  • @katgirl161 not necessarily, i agree but like...double g isnt to hard to play (thats what this dude hit, soundslike anyways) you just gotta make your mouth go "sss" instead of ee or ahhh or whatever else :) It's what I do (I'm mostdefinantally NOT a freshman ;) )

  • @katgirl161 if you were a good trumpet player you would realize that to hit those notes and actually make them notes and not squeaks you need breath support. if its just pinching and cringing than anyone can play even freshman that obviously know more than you people :P

  • @TheDandyAndy26 Hey if you can play a loud audible triple G like this guy here than i have obviously been mislead with the trumpet for the past 5 years. It takes breath support just to get a squeak that high

  • @TheDandyAndy26

    Hey freshman.

    shut up.

  • @troslogoth Hey Leave The Little Immature Freshman Alone... Cant You See Hes..... Idk hahaha bully him as much as you want :D haha SENIOR '11 YEA BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII................ SENIOR OUT

  • i dont care what you think all i know is that you guys think your the baddest on earth but youre all just abunch of losers that have no really skill at all. you people probably arent even willing to do anything in college that has anything to do with music

  • @TheDandyAndy26 cool story bro

  • @troslogoth yalls responses dont even make sense

  • @TheDandyAndy26 i bet your a woodwind player.

  • @62609 hey i bet if you actually read the comments you have to be a moron to think that

  • hate to break it to you but that wasnt a G. nice try though

  • OMG holy f--k

  • what kind of mouth piece do you use

  • a dog just got ran over poor thing :(

  • whos killing the baby in the backround?!?!?

  • i cant hear it?

  • THATS A HIGH NOTE SOUNDS LIKE A SCREAM

  • holy shit

  • At that high its just not even musical any more. However still pretty cool.

  • brb my toast is ready

  • Holy jesus. I love you.

  • ok is it me or did he break the sound barrier cuz i cant hear anything lol

  • oh shitz......i never knew a guy could scream so high haha

  • Judging from your arms it seems like you are applying a LOT of pressure.

Still, I shouldn't talk I can't even get half as high.

  • WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF

  • @Metayerthraxadeth Hahaha... i rofled with your comment, hahaha...

  • damn dude, get itttttt.

  • That's not playing that's screaming lol!!!

  • You have a great start to a good career if you apply yourself. Your range is excellent. Good luck to you from a retired player. Maynard, Bill Chase, Roy Stevens high range teacher NYC and New York Studio Musician Alan Rubin were my favorites.

  • I died in the making of this video

  • i came a little

  • jajajaja lol i loved your entrance in 0:04

  • Oh, excuse me, my tea is ready

  • nice scream

  • i just wet myself

  • TEA POT

  • it sounded like a screaming child

  • DAMM

  • @Techbuffs210 Exactly..... XD

  • Why do you have a metronome!?

  • Teapot indeed

  • pardon me sir, but i beleive you just shat your pants

  • Oh yeah. Look up "Discombobulated" by Kottonmouth Kings. The trumpet hits a Double C, and its even a little pinchy.

  • Overall that wasn't too bad, but after 18 seconds into it you weren't playing legitimate notes anymore. Someone who just picked up a trumpet for the first time could do that.

  • not a triple G, but very high.... nice.

  • @TheBurningRebel wat was the last note?

    (seriously)

  • when u r thinking of it, you should notice, that it's totally sick...

I mean, does anyone here know a song, where a triple G is in ?

  • damn, and i could barely hit a double B.

  • nice. my highest in a double A or B.

  • U sound like a rapist at the end

  • cool

  • has to have a jazz mouthpiece or somethin i really wanna know

  • If u can't play the note out of nowhere then you can't rilly play the note.

  • @mjwitz10 Just shooting for the note is going to kill your chops, plus I would like to see you guess the pitch for a triple G without rising the way up

  • @mjwitz10 jealous

  • what brand and model number trumpet are you using? Also are you using standard 7C mouthpiece?

  • focus on your mouthpiece placement, open your your throat a bit more, and don't tilt your head down, restricts the air flow. and try working on low and midrange tone quality, do alot of longtones. then start working your way up to that higher register.

  • It doesnt matter if its a squeel. He hit the note.

  • @RichColours Yeah, tone quality doesn't matter xD. If the sound isn't full, it isn't worth dick. And this sound wasn't full.

  • @KrummyBear You are right. He could just be making a squeak. I can do a triple g. Its not just a squeal I can climb all the way up there from a high C.

  • G7 note?

  • no pitch control. that was a squeel.

  • how old are you

  • Whoa!

Think it was a little flat.

Best I've ever done is one octave down.....a little flat!

  • wat the fuck hows dat pssible i bearly even hit a double c

  • Dawg that's almost as high as I can play

  • @LikeaI3OSS you are truly a trumpet player.

  • steam was comin outta your ass

  • DANG!! that was beast

  • holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn boy!!!!!!!

  • holy shit bro!!

    fuckin beast!

  • well, you can say that's triple g if you start on middle c in replace of low c so you can say that's triple g but considered double g of the range just saying if you guys didn't know. btw its triple g anyway if you were starting on middle c.

  • @trumpet689 wait WHAT!?

  • @ikei98 im saying that if you count middle c as low c the octave above that is high c then double then triple but its not the trumpets type of range

  • shit

  • o cara toca muito bem , e toca coisas dificeis , isso a gnt não pode negar..

  • omg, listen to doc, allen, maynard or any other screamer and then listen to this, you will hear the difference in tone quality, and among other things a full sound, I know this guy looks pretty young but many of those guys could do this when they were his age.

  • That would make my lips bleed.

  • wow

  • OMG!! u know he passed out the second he turned off the cam

  • **head explodes from epicness**

  • Cool!

  • holy shit!!

  • BEAST.

  • nice one man thats way better than this super c shit nice one man 5/5

  • nice vid.

for THE guaranteed way to play high trumpet visit my page.

  • what are you talking about? you only hit a high c

  • too impossible for me. I`ll prctice on that i can get to a double A. i use my kelly screamer mouthpiece.

  • SOUNDED LIKE A TEA KETTLE!!

  • sounded like that ended using the Stevens-Costello method. same one used by Roy Roman. works if you can master it.

  • That all well and fine, but lets see you pull that off at the end of a long jazz concert after playing a full gig of double a's and b's......if you can do that, then you get my props. If not, please see Roger Ingrand and/or Wayne Bergeron

  • i did tht 4 my band class and everyone jss thought that i was squeakin the sound out and that it wasn't really a note

  • o shit the beans!!!!

  • that was sick! nice!

  • the highest I can do is double e

  • hey teh pressure cooker went off. lemme go check it and then ill continue to watch this

  • i can only go to triple d right now

  • yyyyyoooooo!!!!! how do you hit a high note like tht like wow...im speechless...amazing job

  • How do you get that high?????!!!!!!!!!!

  • well, i use a combination of weed and cocaine. good luck!

  • @thebadcarcrash shrooms for sure

  • @thebadcarcrash have you tried meth. its a bit more effectice than. coke. it also last for about two weeks.

  • @calcner i once used LSD. never trying it again after my house exploded.

  • I remember when I showed everyone in my class that I could hit notes like that. They said when did I have my nuts cut off

  • sounds like a T pot

  • On piano, the convention of naming octaves is what most students learn in modern music theory classes. C4 = middle C. The octaves are named based on the pitch C. In older notations there are other conventions that use capital or lowercase letters and diacritic marks. On trumpet we conventionally name the octaves pedal, low, (no name or middle), high, double, triple, etc. Low F# is the lowest conventional note on the instrument, so start there. "Middle C" on Bb trumpet refers to Bb4 on piano.

  • @scoggles Middle C on trumpet... do you mean 3rd space written C? Because after you transpose a trumpets lowest conventional C it's not Bb4 on piano, but Bb3. Bb4 would be the trumpet's 3rd space written C.

  • Exactly. That's the middle octave on trumpet.

  • knackformac no

cause the double g is an octave above the g on top of the staff, high c, then everything is double till super c, or double high c, then everything is triple, and a true super c, aka triple high c is insane and 1 out of every 5 players who say they can "hit" one can play it, notes dont count squealed until at least e above super c

  • thats good. ona good day i can hit my triple A

  • i think your teapot is going off

  • lol

  • hey look. were brothers lololol

  • haha!

  • i can do that fairly easily on my mega tone 3 and 5c mouthpieces but try it on a 1c. thats a bit harder lol

  • I used to do this kind of crap in high school. Sounded just the same. Pretty useless and easy to do if you know how.

  • how? :D?

  • I had a Schilke 13A4A mouthpiece. I was doing a lot of lip slurs, and was just trying to get into the upper register without thinking about what notes I was hitting. Like a lot of guys here I wasn't very loud up high. There is a place where you get a break in the slur as you go higher, and the very high "falsetto" comes out. It has no real application because it's so soft that no one can hear you. I impressed myself, and no one else. I still have an old tape of me doing that.

  • G above double C is a double G.

  • @KnackForMac I think it is a double D rather than tripple g, really not a not because it is a scream, but double G is under double C, it goes G,A,B,C,D,E,F,doubleG,Double A, doubleB, doubleC,doubleD,DoubleE,doubleF, then tripple G

  • No, octaves start with C.

  • but in order to call a not a double, it has to be 2 octives above the staff, and the first note above the staff is a g, therefore the first double actave obove would oviously be a g

  • Octaves start with C. C above the staff is High C.

The C above that is Double C, everything in between is High _. After Double eC everything is Double _, until Triple C.

    You're wrong.

  • On trumpet, octaves start with F#. The convention names the octaves (Pedal, low, [no name - middle octave], high, double, triple, et cetera) Low F# is the lowest conventional note on the instrument, so that's why. G above high C, therefore, is double G. The pitch at the end of this video is, in fact, triple G (concert F7).

  • what the hell happend to just countin ledger lines... c goes 2 5 9 12 16 etc etc.

  • yu sound like a tea kettle and i can play higher than that

  • That's funny, you said you can play higher, but you have no videos!

  • Wow.

  • wait, say that one more time? o.O

  • no it's not lol

  • can no1 relize dats just a sqweek?

  • good job my band directer plays that note for warm ups i think he can do 1 or 2 octives above that. i'll ask him and get back to you guys

  • it does sound like shit. but then again a trumpet sounds like shit if it goes too high lol

  • True, but the squealing contest between trumpet players is kind of funny.
