  • penguinmanm you want awesome ill give you youre dream

  • My boyfriend is a dick and my roommates are constantly loud and annoying.

I'm gonna march down to Buckingham Palace and tell the Queen! :P

  • The BFG looks like a wizard. :) This is quite scary when you think about it.

  • OMSCHG! The boy has a Danger mouse poster on his wall. Way cuu!

  • And i had a dream that the bloodbottler was my brother, and i drank orange juice that made me grow 16 feet tall. Its been 3 years, & i still wish the dream was real. I convinced the bloodbottler to stop eating humans and wear some clothes. Then we fought the fleshlumpeater. That dream was my definition of: AWESOME

  • I love how at the end, the bfg is so tiny compared to the fleshlumpeater, while at this part, he seems big enough to tackle the fleshlumpeater.

  • He didnt actually get eaten. The blood bottler put his claw in and as sophie said ''NOOO!'' he took his claw out to look but the bfg had disappeared. The boy actually looked naked, i thought i saw his dick

  • @MrCuckooclock1 Actually, he's chewing on the kid when he turns around :(

  • @heavyonit Oh dear god I only just noticed that D: D: D:

  • @heavyonit I was horrified as a kid when I realised the little boy had been eaten, that and the part where they read in the paper about the bones of children being found outside a boarding school :'(

  • @MrCuckooclock1

Actually that's the fleshlumpeater, not the blood bottler the Bbottler is the one in the beginning who through the BFG after eating the snozcumber.

    Jus' saying.

THis is one of his best books I think he ever made... But you sure he didn't eat the kid? It looked to me he had a nice dinner.

  • At least the boy had one good dream before he got eaten.

  • @Lauraa4023 I disgree, I think she is adorable even if she does look like a younger version of Velma.

  • @Lauraa4023 ugly? shes a regular girl.. what u want in every cartoon movie a blond long hear girls with blue eyes and big red kissing lips?...

  • @1Skordon No, I don't particularly want cartoons to have "blond long hear" I was just making a point that they seem to have gone out of their way to make her less attractive...obviously I am no longer allowed to voice my opinion...pardon me for speaking :/

  • @Lauraa4023 lol -.-... you comment.. we answer it.. that's how the system works.. Welcome to youtube!

You do have the right of your opinion.. But don't i have right to give you mine?

  • @1Skordon Lol thanks I do know how youtube works...and yes of course you have the right to give me your opinion. I now regret making that comment I made a while ago at all, looking back. Have a nice day :)

  • @Lauraa4023 ah ty mate =) you 2 have a nice day

  • That part when that giant shows up out of the water...awesome. B) Just awesome.

  • @TheJaredThingy I know, assuming the giant gets the kid by spearing him with his claw before eating him. Yeeeesh. :@

  • Oh so that's the legendary bigfoot..

  • I slept at the window-side of the house when I was around 8. This movie gave me more sleepless nights than anything. Darn you fleshlumpeater.

  • Technically, the giants eating the human beings is in fact cannibalism.

  • 4:30 watch this whilst playing The Doors' 'The End' and you're complete

  • Haha, just noticed the Danger Mouse poster. A nod to David Jason methinks.

  • Wouldn't all these people disappearing due to giant predation every night be noticed?

  • @doobiesmoke15 In the book, Sophie asks just that, and the BFG reminds her that, even assuming that each giant kills 10 to 20 people per night, 90 to 180 disappearances (distributed globally) doesn't make much of a pattern next to tens of thousands vanishing due to murder, suicide, kidnapping, running away and random accident. Also, he points out that all nine giants are careful not to prey on any one region with enough frequency for "human beans" to piece together their hunting patterns.

  • @doobiesmoke15 why does it matter. it was written for kids and the movie was made for kids as well. why the fuck would you read into it. just let it be what it is

  • i think this is freakishly weird but entertaining

  • Was I the only one who got creeped out at 3:20? it's just the way he looks at you, gave me the creeps. haha anyway I find this hallarios to watch

  • In the book he says he was going to destroy it, but instead he locks it away when there's a pit of lava behind him! WTF! I like seeing random things being thrown into a pit of lava! (and as you've already guessed, I am clearly a psychopath.)

  • im reading this book in class sadly :) haha

  • When I was younger I use to ran ahead the stairs & hidden to my old little bedroom near the front door when he came rising & walking out of the sea water when he grabs & ates the kid up for his tummy it was very scary & creepy at 4:31-5:55

  • @MrSuperpigeon Fleshlumpeater scared me so bad when I was a kid, especially that damn claw he implaes the people on. Just think how much more creepy it would be if it didn't just show the shadow of the claw approaching the kid, but imit showed a little of the actual claw going toward him!

  • 5:43 - 5:55 That scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. I mean c'mon, we all know that he impaled the kid and ate him after the BFG left. Very disturbing even now lol.

  • When I was younger I use to ran ahead up the stairs & hidden into my bedroom

when he came out of sea water. It was very scary & creepy

  • wow this is inception

  • 2:12 popping flares XD

  • Human beings must be fattening. Just look at the man titties on that ugly giant!

  • Death to human eating giants!

  • Haveing nightmares where scary sht when i was a kid, until i watched Alien. Lol now i cant have nightmares without an army of xenomorphs by my side XD. Then of course theres trippy dreams, and dreams of dreams, and sht that would probily make an average and heavily built man sht them selves. If you say "Awaken awaken my soul shall be taken bring thy self back to life" right before you go to sleep, 78% chance a Succubus will be summoned. Does not always work but dont blame me for what happens.

  • I wonder what he does with naughty wet dreams...

  • why did he show her what the fleshlumpeater was doing?

  • Fleshlumpeater rising out of the water is like the kraken from the origianl Clash of the Titans O.o

  • One thing that's even creepier about the Fleshlumpeater giant is that he has an extremely long and sharp finger nail which is used as like a dagger to kill the children.

  • Why are there no girl giants?

  • why do gieants jus go after children?

shourly they can eat adults aswell, hellthey fucking rull the would

  • @james739123 im pretty sure they do eat adults as well, i think the BFG only refrences the children to mark how disgusted he is by it

  • @jhibbitt1 In the books he makes it clear they do eat adults just that they prefer the kids.

  • @jhibbitt1 fera inofe

  • @james739123 because children are younger, less defensive and probably taste better to them. Also, they would wipe away the entire human race if they ate adults.

  • Leonardo Di Caprio should have hired the BFG to be his architect.

  • the non-voice soundtrack is also just as magical xD <3

  • have any of you noticed that on the boy's wall, he's got a danger mouse poster

  • He's climbin' in yo windows; he's snatching yo people up.

  • @daganliberal XD nice

  • The flehlumpeater is what game me nightmeres at my old house... well i dreamt i came out of my house and hid behind a giant building...

  • i used 2 have nightmares like that..... but then i made a dream catcher and hung it abouve my bed and havent had a bad dream since!!!! u all should try it

  • @MsDemilovato4eva But I like nightmares xD.

  • i didnt know the BFG was harry potter

  • of course i remember watchign this part and i would be like 16 at th time so like i freaked out bcausee it was like 1 am so everytime i heard a thumpi thought it was him and my parents were out so i'd freak out even more i was like ahh nooo

  • wow the BFG wears an invisible cloak

  • oh my good fleshlumper is really scary...I nearly wet my pants when I first saw him.

  • hehe norphanage

  • Like BFG said from the start Giant world dont have schools. So you cant blame BFG for not being able to write correctly. lol

  • BFG is so nice and BFG stands for big friendly giant

  • im 15 and im still scared

  • Is the city attacked by the Fleshlumpeater meant to be Whitby?

  • at least the kid died having a happy dream

  • "I don't want to be saved! I want to save the other children, before any more disappear!"

Amanda Root has such a beautiful voice.

  • The soundtrack reminds me of Blade Runner

  • What I'd love to know is... Where does The BFG get his clothes/bed/etc. from?! Is there a Tesco Giant in Giant Country? =p Best film ever made!!!

  • omg the dirty big nail! he staked the kid with his nail scary shit that bit always scared me poor kid killed by a evil fat ugly version of Albert Fish... : (

  • This film haunts me i hate it!!! im 17 nd so scared of itt :L xx

  • It reminded me of how terrified this movie made me. It made me scared of the dark for such a long time as a little kid. It creeped me out now as a 24 year old.

  • @GemmaChew13 how can u find this film scary i loved it when i was little and even though i aint watched in in ten years (last watched it when i was 5) i still love it

  • god its so scary when he comes out of the water!

  • halfway trhough!!! :)

  • shit he just ate that kid.

  • fleshlumpeater scared me shitless as a kid when he came walking out of the sea D: but i luv this movie as a kid^^

  • @.0 if this is true then why do you make my dreams some random mr BFG?

  • love it

after i watched it the bfg bacame like the tooth fairy and everytime i had a dream i said to my mum the bfg gave me a dream last night :D 3:20? david jason was the voice in that too

btw did anyone else notice the dangermouse poster at

  • I saw this movie when I was like 6, but that scene at 5:40 was etched on my memory forever.

I forgot about the rest of it and the title and just found it again, searching for a childrens movie with children eating giants... this still is horrifying now (I'm 22!) O_o *shiver*

  • im 14

i still love it and i remember that bit as well i had nightmares about that giant

  • what is the music when the giant comes out of the water

  • Definitley Roald Dahl's darkest story.

  • I agree but its very well done its dark but not dark enough for a child to realize

  • Soo TreuO.o

I still think the mean gaients are soo scaryO.o

  • @athull08 I think that honor goes to "Boy"

  • shut up

  • @xELITExRANGERx fuck you

  • @athull08 I humbly disagree, I always found that the darkest Roald Dahl story was The Witches. it still terrifies me to this day. while I do agree that all of his books are a certain type of dark, some more then others some less, this is more of a type of dark gray while to me The Witches is pitch black...the Twits is a regular gray to me

  • @DAOW17 The Witches still scares me too. I used to cry everytime i watched it when I was younger, but then I would always want to watch it again because it was so good :L

  • @athull08

I think the title "The witches", might have been a bit darker.

  • 4:32 and 5:54 scared me shitless. Even now. And im 23, lol

  • lol i remember once after watching this i had a horrible nightmare about fleshlump eater coming to move in my house and i was so freaked out i never watched the film for ages. ahh the silly things of childhood.

  • im so glad you said that, thought it was just me, i was terrified of being eat by a giant when i first seen this as a kid

  • It's a Winkscribbler. :3

  • she sounds like little lindsey lohan in ''double trouble''

  • do you mean the parent trap wher one is american and the other is british well it is called the paret trap maybe double trouble is the translation from another language

  • AH i remember this part used to make me watch from behind the sofa lol this music is cool when he comes outta the sea

  • Hey you know fleshlumpeater has that huge nail, well i read something to do with nobility, cant remember the period or country this comes from, but apparantly in some cultures at a certain time people grew one long nail to mark them out as someone who didnt need to work or something.

It was like a status thing, so maybe with the giant it's like his status symbol because he is the biggest nastiest one of the lot.

Alternatively they could have just thought it looked cool.

  • @Andyp12 China, specifically the Chinese emperors, probably the nobility too.

  • @Starman117 Ah thank you, I knew someone would know.

  • I think this is one of the more mature books by Roald dahl. I mean we all know what happens to that boy after the BFG leaves.

  • tht fuker cumin out the sea gets me everytime lol

  • @BrowncoatApprentice XD i always say"omg its Justin Bieber!!!!!" XD

  • A Month of Mondays...^0^ BFG has the

best way of putting things sometimes...

  • Ah, thank you. =)

  • The BFG's voice sounds familiar... is it 'Del Boy' from 'Only Fools And Horses'?

  • Yep! The voice actor who played a role as Del Boy is David Jason!

  • Fleshlumpeater makes Godzilla look like a cuddly teddy bear when he came out of the sea. Man, he's scarier than I remember.

  • I always reacted the same way as Sophie when I watched the fleshlumpeater's claw getting closer to the kid in bed. "Nooooo!" pretty much sums it up. =oS

  • they left out alot of stuf from the book, and added stuff in...grrrrrrrrr

  • the music at the beginning of this part is really awesome brings me back!

  • The music in this is so beautiful!

  • ok the part when the giant eats the kid....gave me nightmares for weeks. the horror.

  • No they is not!...I mean, are not!

    LOL.

  • i actually screamed when he came out what the sea WTF man

  • pure terror.

  • omg i remember seeing that bit for the first time when i was young...for weeks i had nightmares about him and i would be scared shitless to look at my window at night

  • That scene had me sleep on the floor in my sleeping bag, AWAY from the window and near the door to make a run for it! xD

  • @InMeYikman

same here I could not sleep with out my lamp on after that when was 5

  • @InMeYikman Who didn't? LOL

Tim Burton said himself "every child needs a bit of horror in them" which is why a director like him or someone else like Guillermo Del Toro should direct a live-action/CGI version of the novel.

  • either i have a distorted mind, but i always thought that he lifted the roof of the house and put his hand in to grab "two" children (boy and a girl) who were hiding in their beds (while some freaky music was playing)

if this isn't it, then what the heck was i watching?

  • that sounds strange....Are you sure it was two children or just one? otherwise it sounds like this, i cant think of any other cartoon like that :)

  • @izlude2 Late reply, but I seem to recall something very similar. I believe that it could have been a nightmare based on watching the movie, because the way I think of it it was very hazy like a dream. It could have been another movie though. Now I'm curious ha!

  • @Mustang5Speed oh wow thanks for the reply. ya for certain i know i saw whatever it was i explained. my sis even saw it. just wish i knew what the heck i was eatin that day :P

  • I love whizzpoppers and frobscottle

  • the fleshlumpeater scared the crap out of me as a kid :(

  • Same lol.

  • Especially when he comes out of the water. That was creepy.

  • Aye, the claw reaching the kid's bed always made me uneasy as a kid. Funny, though, that the book is not as disturbing as to the human-eating problem, it's more grotesque than scary.

  • Omg im soo glad i anit the only one oo was scared at that bit lol that creeped me out for weeks after i saw this!

  • i always thought the beginning sequence was pretty un-nearving.

  • Same here; I thought several parts of this movie were scary, but especially the beginning part and this scene with the Fleshlumpeater. It's kind of funny, though, 'cause all the movies that scared me when I was little were always my favourites :P

  • Scary movies are fun now :D I glad my mom elt me watch the most horrible things when I was actually to small for the age recommended. Now Im still into horror movies - they only scare the shit out of youand are fun when youz are like 10 ^^ I wanna be 10 again ansd watch horror movies! <3

  • @heavyonit lol i found (and still do) find him scary but in a way he is funny cos he is terrified of a fairytale haha

  • same here the fleshlump eater frightened the shit out of me when I was a kid
