  • Hey Dave

Want to ask if you can find out how to send fuses oversea's, because i live in Taiwan and can't get any kind of fuses here. Although all these fuses are made in Taiwan, I know it's ironic. I have tried to call the manufacturer, and they said they only sell fireworks not fuses(weird). So if you can do a favor for me and see if the fuses can be send overseas.

    Thanks

  • lucky,

i hate the way in Ireland anyone can buy giant salute rockets and firecrackers (sold as bird scarers) but can't buy actual fireworks :(

  • can you git it shiped to californa

  • you sound like the bald guy from IRONMAN

  • I like your voice.

  • this was fucking awsome

  • any other way to prepare a home made fuse effectively in 1 or 2 mm in dia ?

  • but its not legaly given ??

    isit?

any other way to prepare a fuse of 2mm or 1mm..?

    can u give an idea....

  • can u order from the uk?

  • where the heck do you buy visco fuse ?

  • nice review David. I have a a bunch of those quick fuses and they work really well as a substitute for black match

  • you can get fuse at a store that sells model rockets or like a rocket shaped like a spaceship at those kind of stores because I live in Chicago and get fuse from those stores

  • wherr can yu find black powder

  • Dave if you goto bigfireworksdotcom you can check out the other fuse they have. It's called perfect fuse and has a burn rate of 10 sec./foot. The visco is roughly 30sec./foot and the quick fuse is approx. 0.4 feet/second.

  • does anyone know if phantom fireworks sells fuse not online ?

  • wow where do you buy them at?

  • @jerrydff7 Big Fireworks. Hence the Big logo in the left hand corner. you can buy direct at bigfireworksdotcom

  • one word

    sssswwweeetttt

  • cool

  • I know this is a commercial fuse, but i just gotta mention, the fuse inside the quick fuse is blackmatch. You can take a strip of gummed paper tape and wrap the blackmatch, without the paper around, into/along the paper tape. Roll it a little loose. this gives you the opportunity to cut holes for the visco along the fuse to make sure it all lights! But still, real nice fuse!

  • that is on fucking fast fuse

  • easyer and faster is just get that zip tie's things and boom lol.

  • Nice! You should check out my rockets I fast fused with the yellow visco from pyro direct. My vid is called New Years Fireworks 2010. The rockets are at the end of part one and fired at part 2.

  • I am buying this soon for new Years.

  • haha 4:45 is great. im glad you didnt cut that out.

  • váo

  • Zippo Blu?

  • kool

  • great video! hard to find vids with people who know what they're talking about! the quick fuse is great for high rate of fire machine gun type effects, too. just got 30' in the mail!

  • very nice. that quickfuse is also good for quickmatch on shells and starmines. i reccomend it.

  • this guy does a great job with these videos and really knows what he's talking about. He's clear and answers so many of my questions. Also he seem like a cool guy in general. Ive been lighting fireworks for the past 7 years, but am now startin to put shows together. I just wanted to say thanks for answering so many questions for me.

  • where can u buy this visco fuse in the uk?

  • w w w. hob byc hemicals. c o . uk

Without the spaces of course :P

Dunno how youtube censors links, so I added more than I probably needed too :)

  • hey i quick question can they deliver that to a place where fireworks are illegal in that state

  • I believe they can unless they say in their rules that they do not ship to that state. Anyways, fuse is not fireworks :)

  • I figure zip ties would work also.

  • i ordered fuse from them on the 5th of may and it is 11th of may now wut should i do i live in CA

  • hello tntloverwoot,

the normal processing time of orders 24-48 hours. fuse must be shipped usps parcel post and can take 7-10 days to get to CA from NY. some time it has taken up to 15 days. if you do not get it before the 20th please give us a call and we will send out another order for you.

    Kevin

  • I've used a bunch of the gray quick fuse demo'd in this video. I use kraft paper tubes around the fuse and it burns about as fast as quick match. Have hundreds of feet pre-made and if you can't buy quick match this is the best to use that I've found.

  • As usual another very good video!!! Keep up the great videos!

  • At 3:07 Dave is telling us to tie fuses together and not to use tape. He is absolutely right on this point I have actually had tape extinguish the fuse even lacquered waterproof fuse. The glue on the tape melts and will put the fuse out, especially on a hot humid summer night.

  • Are you sure that the problem you had was not from not having good passfire contact between the two fuses inside the tape? Perhaps the tape was actually holding the fuses apart instead of in direct contact with each other. I use tape all the time and don't have any issues and I know lots of other guys including 1.3 shooters that use tape every show with out worry.

  • I had been using tape up to that night myself. It could have been the type of tape that I used 3M blue painters tape or the very humid day and a rapidly cooling evening leaving some moister on the tape. I am sure there was good contact, I was using lacquered (waterproof visco) to ignite unlacquered fast burn visco. And it didnt fail at every contact point just at about 4 points in about a fifty shot finally rack.

What type of tape do you use?

  • I generally use plain old cheep white masking tape. I've also used Duck tape, Electrical tape, and silver foil tape and all have passed fire as long as the contact was good. I do have issues with the waterproof visco passing fire sometimes no matter how it has been attached. It can burn only inside the laqor and so not pass fire very well I always make sure that I've got at least an inch of contact between the fuses and that the shell leader is pointed down stream so the fire hits the end first

  • Nice one! I think in sweden you can not buy this type of fuse.. I don´t even think you can buy visco legaly.. Anyway, when it lit it looked awesome! Fire was intense man! Love see fuses in the dark hehe.. That means fireworks to me ! Very nice to get an idea of how it should work though, maybe some day Ill try myself..Just has to get some qick fuse from somwhere..I only have visco ;)

  • I can not figure Sweden out. It sounds like in Sweden a consumer can buy larger 1.3 fireworks but can not buy fuse. Some of these fireworks laws around the world are strange.

  • in australia,we can not buy fireworks but we can buy fuse,it is so stupid.what are we going to do with the fuse if we cant make/buy fireworks.

  • where can you buy fuse from? ive been looking cause instead of us aussie not buying fireworks, i use sparklers. like 1000 of them tightly compacted. LOL

  • hehe yes,it is weird, we can buy 4"proffesional displayshells and cakes upto 1000gramer withoput any permission for buying it,with a permission from local police ou can buy cakes how big you like-saw one with almost 7000gram powder.. I think that fuse is not consumer item here is bad, more fuse just makes everything safer! Yup pretty werid laws around the world, think the dutch can buy shells how big they get their hands on...

  • @displayfireworks1 Yeah in Denmark you can buy really big fireworks, but fuse is illegal. So weird.

  • @pyr0ph1L I know also in Iceland

  • @displayfireworks1 yep it is pretty twisted xD hey by the way, long time i spoke to you Mr.D im getting along with this pyro-world pretty fine im a pyro now i guess ;) thanks a lot to you, your videos help me a lot earlier. we should speak some day :D keep in touch :)

  • @ajlisknillat Do you have a website that you buy wuick fuse from?

  • Hi Dave,

    thx for the video.

  • I have some yellow , world class brand quick visco that is alittle faster and burns hotter. It doesnt burn at 60ft per second but its some good stuff. Maybe I can do a video of it sometime if anyone is intrested.Great video Dave. I always enjoy your videos. looks like youre out in the garage? The wife still keeping you out there due to the Durian aroma? LOL

  • Hahahaa that was funny comment xD How long does the durian "stink" :P?

  • nice video as always! thanks

  • Really surprised they could sell that quick fuse to the public.

  • It looks like beefed up firecracker fuse. Someone correct me if im wrong. If you took a bunch of fuses from your run of the mill firecracker and put them together this fuse dave is showing would be almost the result. I would imagine anything more than this you would have to have your type 54 to posess.Pyrodirect also sells quickmatch leaders so that you can make a clone of quick match that is cheaper and alittle easier for the amature.
