  • Very honest, solid playing here. I wouldn't expect anything less from these guys. :-)

  • This gives a new meaning to mandolin hero.

  • sam seems to play his mandolin kinda low on his body then most others?

  • @CGiordano464

Yeah, he has a truly unique style. Most players hold it high on their chest. Sam also has the cleanest "chop" of any mando player on the planet.

  • Love the electric mandolin!!

  • A stage full of impeccable talent. Cheers !!

  • ya,im going to see him at merlefest soon, thanks

  • whats the name of this song?

  • @nedodge0506 lap in seven

  • This is an awesome video. I love Sam and his band. I like how they all introduce Sam at the end LOL. Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam Bush LOL

  • What can you say... Samantha B rocks!

  • who is that on banjo and guitar?

  • On the Banjo is Scott Vestal and on the guitar is Stephen Mougin. They are all so good. :D

  • Stephen Mougin on Guitar, Scott Vestal on Banjo.

  • Scott Vestal

  • This is a good song to wake up spark a j***t and get along with your day, great I love it.

  • @jerrylove420 totally true

  • All Marshalls and stage lighting are plugged in Sam's left ankle.

  • I am a big fan of that guitar player

  • He is a bad ass.

  • Just saw Sam live in Destin - he ROCKED!

  • Sam Bush is the great possum in the sky (to steal my brother's saying!)...Could listen to this forever!!!

  • madness

  • Stunning player - I love Sam Bush. One of the very best there is. Fabulous!

  • Move over Van halen and Nugent.!!!

  • That was incredible

  • I just watched him in Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa! pretty awesome!

  • he reminds me of Ian Anderson.....i'm in love

  • fender jazz bass at a gibson concert

  • and a fender mandocaster with what i think is a custom moog pickup too.

  • ...and what looks to be a Martin acoustic guitar.

  • its kinda ironic that hes playing a strat shaped mandolin at a gibson concert

  • See...now I'd call that a Gibson shaped mandolin. lol But, I see your point. Being a mandolin picker, I associate "f style" mandolins with Gibson even though there are so many great makers now.

  • Oh wait. I didn't watch the video long enough to see him switch to the electric mando.

  • LOVE it. Great audience too! Where was this show?

  • I think this might be a Gibson promotional vid

  • The show was at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico, CA... I am standing in the corner, jammin'

  • mandolin kicks ass

  • electric mandolin

  • what is sams second instruments. pleeas reply

  • Well he can make a bamboo tree sing, that's all I know.

  • martin uses steve's guitar

  • Sam... oh Sam... *heavy sigh*

  • he played this at merlefest, so freakin good

  • Gotta love 7/8!! Sam's the man!!!

  • Look like he's playing guitar hero! :)

  • It's obvious that to blqy in a band with Sam Bush, one must be able to count. Awesome.

  • That guys a rocker at heart. I don't usually listen to blue grass but that was great. lol

  • lol distortion on a mandolin

  • It's so cute!

  • Is that an electric mandolin?!

  • ya i think so

  • Yes-Fender solid body. Sometimes called the MandoBlaster. They made them from about 1956 to 1964. Only two mandolin players should have ever been allowed to play them--Sam Bush and Jethro Burns. Early New Grass Revival records have some great stuff Sam played on them. Sam's part on Butch Robins' "12 o'clock eh Sonny" on the Fragments Of My Imagicnation" album is an all-time great Fender mandolin solo.

  • its a mandocaster mr.knowitall

  • Awesome:))))))I Play Lefty Upsidedown,Thanks Gibson For Creating The SG:)and Flying V:)

ALl Your Axe's are AWESOmE!!!!!Peace and Happiness:)

    Rand(Bluesy)

  • Intresting. I love how Gibson is seen in death metal bands and this stuff too. I love the varaity. A Les paul goes well with EVERYTHING. Country, rock, blues, jazz, solo, metal, death metal, punk, pop. Plus it looks so professional. Go gibson!!!

  • Hey so does fender. John 5(Shred), Jimi Hendrix (Rock/Blues), Stevie Ray (Blues), Yngwie Malmsteen (Neo Classical), Dave Mustaine plays Jackson guitars by fender (Metal), Joe Strummer (Punk Rock). Fender varies too man.

  • yeah but fender sucks. no offense, just comparing to Gibson quality wise there is no competition. If you go to an experienced group with your shiny red strat, they would think "teenage phase" come in with a Gibson they think "hm this might be good." Thats just my opinion though. Generally the less experienced go for looks like BC riches.

  • steven uses martin guitars i think
