IBM should get into the video game industry. I think they'd have a lot to offer. They already make processors for video game machines, why not go all in, and compete with Microsoft and Sony? IBM would probably sell a cheaper machine of equal quality, or a better quality machine for the same price as its competitors.

@InfiniteUniverse88 The Video game industry isn't just machine power, there is a lot more to it, the original Xbox is a perfect example. They gotta make sure the programmers get great tools, the machines not a $700 unknown if to pass or fail machine. an operating system, gotta pull in some 3rd party companies, a very unique and good controller. Basically it's not a easy industry to enter. Probably the easiest way to enter would be a hand held that after a good following gets a console version.

Even so, if IBM can undersell microsoft and sony, they would probably win the console war. IBM can just make a similar platform to microsoft and sony, and third party publishers will make games for all three systems. Now a days the trend is for 3rd parties to make there game for as much systems as possible, to maximize their profits.

I think IBM actually made consoles way back when. not for their own but companies like atari have IBM build them. I'd say if any company is to hardware anytime soon they should have someone like IBM build the machine. I don't think IBM as a whole at the moment is interested in the VG market.

who ever just said that their computer played crysis at 9000 FPS is an idiot. there is absolutly no way that your computer can do that, it's impossible. i spent about 600 dollars on a computer that can play crysis just fine and i only get 60 FPS. besides this video has nothing to do with crysis so why is everyone tralking about it.

if it had a GPU it would probably run crysis on maxed at over 9000 FPS , however no computer screen can refresh that fast and so it would phail.
