Since the studios funding the Halo Movie "dropped out" so to speak the director put this together not only to go along with Halo 3 but it was a means to "provoke" studios to fund the Halo Movie. It's kind of like saying this is what I can do, if you fund me I can do it better. Basically it's a teaser for people to want more and if they do the studios might come through and fund the Halo movie.

I have to say that I agree with you. Those are real actors, so it's safe to assume that this is going to be for the movie. Are you as pumped as me? =P
guys. What happened was the movie began production, and then fell through. They had lots of stuff done already so instead of wasting it all, they threw this together and made a trailer to promote halo 3. The movie is still up in the air, and these scenese will most likely never be in the movie if they ever get going again with it.
However, this does represent what the live action halo movie would ever look like if they do go ahead with it.
Greatest game in entertainment history. Miss it so bad :(

it definitely has a Neil Blomkamp kind of feel to it so i would bet he atleast directed it.
