i recently bought, im waiting for it to come home lol, but i watch videos like this and couldnt resist but buying one, i wanna learn to play it already, :)
I am visiting in Belgium right now but live between Manhattan Beach and Waimanalo Bay Hi, where I attended the big concert of the Gaby Pahinui family this last August. I was incredible!
Have you heard of Makana of the Gaby Pahinui family?
He is really a very talented young man.
He performed in the last concert of Tau Moe who was instrumental in popularizing Hawaiian Steel guitar around the World and was one my my father's best friend!
Aloha, and thanks for your comment. Yes, I do play Hawaiian music too. I've played in Hawaiian bands for about seven years, and now I'm learning to play lapsteel myself. On ukulele I like to play slack key style. Check my profile for "Redcat Slack Key".
What a nice way of rediscovering Piaf's "Sous le ciel de Paris"! Thank your for this great moment of listening and daydreaming accompanied by this sweet tune that moves my heart each single time... =']
Oh terribly sorry Ukulelezaza: please forgive the bumblings of a dozey old fella. Anyway, it is very lovely, and you are simply marvellous on the uke.
I am learning to play ukulele, and being an Edith Piaf fan myself this absolutely blew me away! Thank you. If you have made tabs and are willing to share I would also be most appreciative.
Very nice... very nice. I've been banging a new Uke and haven't found any that I can tune... but yours is crips, clean, clear and very well behaved. Not too shabby a musician either! Keep it up. Cheers // Paul
Thanks Paul. I've watched you play Some of these days and was disappointed that rating was disabled, because I was about to give you 5 stars. I play that tune as a banjo solo, but you do some great fingerpicking variations on the uke. You got me inspired there!
And yeah, no ukulele can beat the old Martins for projection and tone.
That was nice; beautiful in fact

How much does ukuleles like this one in the video usually cost? I want to buy a ukulele that sounds nice and like a ukulele at a reasonable price.
