  • Ray Davies come's across as quite the libertarian in his lyrics

  • Ray Davies displays once again his huge talent on a quite short song!

  • GOD SAVE THE KINKS! ray davies nov 13 bufffalo ny hope to see you there

  • I have loved the dead and the kinks my whole life, this song does remind me of some great grateful dead songs. I dont understand why other people like to put their fellow mankind down for their thoughts and opinions. Because I am listening to this right now , my closed-minded husband realizes we have nothing in common. I am so sorry for his loss. He will not get beyond a few bands he loved fro the 90's and cannot go forward.. Be nice to each other people.

  • @cindy91365 Amen to that! Be nice to other people and everything else becomes a lot simpler. Sorry your husband can't get out of his rut. His loss is right!!

  • came here because of the Prius Commercial.

  • tremendous melody. thank you for uploading

  • Great tune. Wish it was 10 minutes long.

  • So nice to hear The Kinks on those Prius commercials.

  • You people are high on patchouli. This song sounds nothing like Saint Stephen by The Grateful Dead. They aren't even in the same chord structure.

  • Wow, heard this song on the Toyota Prius commercial and was thinking it was American bluegrass and here it was released 41 years ago by the Kinks. Incredible.

  • @amesburyroad I was think the same thing. At first I was thinking Son Volt or Avett Brothers...I am humbled once again at the awesome influence the kinks have on modern music.

  • So many people rip off the Kinks - ,...its about time,..they got even !!

  • One of my favorite albums ever

  • agent smith couldn't stop the kinks

  • sounds a lot like st stephen by the grateful dead... for some reason....

  • @jackalopebaird hell yeah it does

  • @jackalopebaird prolly cause the dead ripped off the kinks.

  • @purplestuff too bad aoxomoxoa was released a year before this album was even recorded....

  • @AWESOM094

uhm, excuse me purplestuff, that was a BURN!!!

  • @purplestuff actually, st stephen by the grateful dead was recorded two years before this song was even released, then released in 1969, a year before this song, in 1970.

I dont think it was a matter of ripping people off, their were in completely different parts of the world.

just noticing a similarity between two groups of very fine musicians. this is really late, seeing as you posted eight months ago.

  • @qrlosyahoocom lol ur also forgetting in an interveiw ray davies also said

"oh yea i did hit that one guy"

.... he also said that the guy might have been some important someone or other

    so ... yea :)

  • why where they banned

  • Such an enjoyable album :]

Thanks for posting for those who never got to experience the time and the place to pick up the music... Its really appreciated when a person my age can finaly find this music, such good taste.

  • le meilleur morceau de l' album "versus powerman..." tout simplement génial!!!!!!

  • Someday the music industry and critics will recognize the importance of Ray Davies and the Kinks. I just gotta be free to do what I want...

  • @czimmerman1 hell yeah dude

I'm 18, been a libertarian for a while. this is our battle cry!

  • @czimmerman1
