Why would you call 911 without even being able to provide them with any type of information? I can just imagine the type of calls they got "Uh I heard something really loud but I don't know what it was. Uh I don't know the source or direction from which the sound came from if that helps. I certainly hope my inability to provide you with any other information helps you in deciding who or uh what to dispatch. Uh By the way I'm glad I could help"
Another massive waste of taxpayers money! It's either the idiotic 1st lady going on ridiculous vacations while unemployment is the worst in our planets history, or her clown America hater hubby continuing to make his 4 yrs in office the biggest disgrace of any president. Together those 2 goofs have brought America into a sewer pipe it'll take decades to get out of. America's at an all-time low thanks to the Hussein Osama Obama white house freak show!
I feel sorry for the guy in the Cessna. It'slikely Obama's handlers didn't post his flight path restrictions until the last minute. Don't want the public to know which golf course, private fund raiser, or talk show Obama is heading for until the last possible moment.
When I was a kid in the 60s I heard sonic booms all the time. They definitely rattled the windows. I'd always run outside to try to see the aircraft, but never could.
Oh, and the US ban on supersonic aircraft only applies to civilian aircraft. The Space Shuttle creates a sonic boom here in Los Angeles each time they land at Edwards Air Force Base.
Contacting the pilot via radio isn't as easy as you might think. It's not just one single radio frequency but many, many hundreds of unique frequencies. And, outside of the specific airspace for specific towered airports there is no requirement for the pilot to be talking to anyone.
These Presidential TFR's often come up with very short notice. If a pilot has been flying in the rural back woods for a few days and then flies back to civilization he/she may encounter this problem.
Why couldn't they have contacted the cessna via radio?
I guess its not as fun and intimidating as dispatching F-15s and secret service agents. Isn't it against the law to go supersonic over the USA? Egomaniacs.
I wanna be the pilot who gets to go supersonic like a boss

@jffrocks Yeah, I can see it now, Pres. Obama carefully watching the radar screen when he launched the fighters. You are a moron.

@carshooter I live 56 miles south east of Robins AFB, where they test F-15E's. They do super sonic flight over my city almost every day.
