@SeattleCoffeeGear I asked in the shop now, and they had it since winter^^ yes. But i didn't see them. Now they have stocked them up in the display window. I got it today and I have to say its fantastic.
@ooLiceoo Not sure; I would assume so since Nespresso was started in Europe. I bet if you poked around their stores or international sites you could find them. - Kat
nice, I might treat myself, I have the very first aeroccino which doesn't do frothy cold milk.
Also, performance of foam is also down to the fatness of your milk, recently my semi-skimmed was giving 1/3 of the foam it used to, turns out the milk company had lowered even further the fat content. I switched to good old full fat, and get the best foaminess.
@rudiwells Totally -- the milk fat definitely makes a big difference with all frothing and different fat levels perform differently with different machines. It's different! ;) - Kat
How would one go about cleaning the unit? is it dishwasher safe at all or hand wash only - without submersing it in water? your one and only fan in Africa! love your videos!!! Ruben - Maputo, Mozambique
@ytwthcr I rinse out with warm water immediately, there's a kind of non stick surface in it, so a hard sponge is even a no-no. There is a connection in the bottom, so you can't put it in the dishwasher.
@ytwthcr What rudiwells said :) If you want something that you can throw in the dishwasher, check out the Capresso Froth Pro. I told Gail that we have a fan in Mozambique and she was very impressed! :) - Kat
What's the temperature of the milk after the device is competed with the cycle? It's too bad it doesn't have a little frother fin that is somewhere between the foamy and the non-foamy results.
I like the Aerolatte better than the Aeroccino. It can be used for multiple purposes (like whipping small batches of egg whites and cream). And you can use as much or as little milk you want.
Can you make a decent flat-white with it?
