  • This isn't suck a big thing, most of the poly's are boxes and cylinders... not that hard for a CPU to handle, even back in 2007 it wasn't ^^

  • Doesn't differ much from Havok.

  • I have an asus laptop, they are awesome :)

  • it's like Crysis, but that game is like a year older, and it's graphics are probably still best up to date...

  • what game is this or is this a physics demo

  • hey how are you all getting the textures and lighting effects to show up in your games? I cant figure out why they dont show up when i test my game, but when i click 'Render current frame' everything's intact. Please help cuz this is very frustrating

  • Name of the game ???

  • why do you even need a gun!!!!!!?!?!?!

  • WHAT IS THIS? WHY CAN'T I HAS?!

  • ohh that looks like unreal engine but the older one =)

  • reminds me of timeshift.....

  • @madosamabinladen

    Go blow up, sandnigger.

  • Ç<--------!?!?!?!?

  • what name?

  • this is nothing now.... almost ALL physics companies can make this stuff.. its how it splinters and breaks is the most imporantant thing now.. like euphoira

  • what is name of that game

  • one word, awsome

  • minecraft has better physics

  • @homsarshat Minecraft... omg its fun but physics?!

  • @homsarshat xD minecraft is a very nice game but it has almost no physics, think before writing

  • @homsarshat no. minecraft sux

  • @bbooster1 Wow, you think so? And I guess that it never came into your head that I was being sarcastic...

  • @bbooster1 Minecraft is the best game ever created.

  • How come that Warner can enforce bans on their audio, if it's obviously LEGAL to use such self-recorded fragments for public presentation, under international copyright treaties, and under copyright acts in most countries? Did it really come to this, that the media publishers will actually dictate not only WHAT should we listen to, but also WHEN and HOW... and even perhaps WHY?

  • FUCK YOU WMG!!!!

  • His powers are basically the same as telekinesis in bioshock, But, this was made first...

  • THIS GAME IS CELLFACTOR OMFG and no he has not make this game bunch of retards

  • It's just moving a bunch of props around :/

  • Halo mixed with Bioshock? Nah but still looks really cool. Has this game been release yet???

  • so many retarded people commenting :D

  • Have you made that game >.> ?? then 5 stars

  • What is a game name?

  • I don't find hard body physics to be overly compelling

  • thats me. im the crate in the vid

  • Wow that looks awesome and fun! is there any way to get the game? is it on PC or a console or something? i would definately get that lol.

  • PENUMBRA OWNS!!! XD

  • You actually can't say that this game has future physics just because it uses them so much. But if had light physics THAN you could say that these are the future physics...

  • yes hes just using some easy normal physics like ragdolls, not showing even som euphoria or endorphin physics, it doesnt even have material particle destruction

  • Agree!

I don't know how about you ,but I'm still waiting for a game that uses some light physics(It would look so much more realistic!)

  • You are talking about raytracing?

  • Maybe I am... I haven't use 3D Max for a long time... =\

  • light physics, is that even possible?

  • Yes, 3Ds Max is using them. And it takes Long time to render when they're on. I think some games are using something like light physics, but they're too simple (compering to 3Ds Max)

  • @jusk2ru

By light physics do you mean when you hit the light the light will move?

  • @weegogo123

Actually I met something like curving of light when it goes through water or glass. But sound physics would be much better.

  • @BassamDaSonicLuva200

    it's "raytracing"

yeah, while i'm not quite sure on the logistics, each "photon"'s path is traced from the light source to the camera, giving really really high def results.

  • But wait, I've just noticed that this video is posted in January of 2007. For that time those are pretty good physics(At least the speed of them)

  • look at the date....

  • Niiice! XD

Shame the audio has been taken away!

I love that game soo much!

  • Can't play this game on my comp b/c I don't have an Asus PhysX card :(. Only an Nvidia one.

  • it works without a physx card. you just won't get to have the good physx features.

  • Nvidia supports PhysX

    My geforce 9600 does.

  • and it also sucks

  • Of course it's obsolete. :/

What, am I in some kind of competition?

  • of course no ^_^

  • lol, wut lag?

  • this cellfactor

  • i got a geforce 9800 i think i can get physX drivers hmm

  • Vawriss3 the new Nvidia drivers from the site will give u physX access.

Though tbh u wont notice alot of difference in most games. There is a list of games that claim to support PhysX on the Nvidia site also.

I reccomend turning the PhysX option off in your GFX drivers most of the time to save that precious GPU power.

I run SLi and theres no way I want 1 card running physics the whole time- but I'll turn on for Mass effect, Gears of War and a few others.

  • legendary????

  • what game is this? i want to try it on my video card

  • read the description >.>

  • Haha

I feel so sorry for you mate

All these people who are like "OMG WHAT GAME"

    I already got it

Im just wondering what card you using?

Im using a 9800GTX+ but this looks better :P

Not fps wise but physics wise

  • yeah you right, most of the people simply don´t read the description^^

in 2007 I used a Asus PhsyX PCI card with 128MB, GFX was a 7800GTX SLI system. the FPS in this video are bad because of the single core processor.

  • lolz. You know that the "PhsyX" card is supposed to unload the work from the processor?

  • yes I know, but the FPS are bad because of the use of fraps for this video. fraps + cellfactor + singlecore = bad FPS (no matter how good your GFX or PPU is). without fraps the frames are pretty high. the PPU works great.

  • Is this in-game realtime, or is it a frame by frame vid? If realtime it's reeaaally cool! :)

  • unreal tournament 3?

  • where are the enemies??

  • wher can u get this?

  • For example at Gamershell . com/download_19042.shtml

  • For all who can't look at the description: The game is called "Cellfactor". It works without a PhysX Card too. It's quite funny for a short time. And it's free to play as far as I know.

  • Actually I prefer the Euphoria engine over this... I once had a PhysX P1 card and I was really disappointed over the lack of compatibility with good games.. With the exception of UT3

  • This was late 2006/early 2007? Holy shit! Our physics artists have been slacking off!

  • wat game r dat

  • you sound like you've obviously had a lifetime of education. you must be so successful.

  • whohohohooouuuuuuu!

  • craeful dont squish someone with that big wall of stuff u were pushing! lol u might hurt him if he dont push it back :)

  • Is this a game or just a testing program?

  • it´s a game!

  • game name pls and upload pls ....

  • @bringdapainGER where can i get link and is it free?

  • @bringdapainGER where might i find such an awesome thingymabob

  • I would say 'no', that is not the future of game physics.. the future will be far more complicated than that. That is actually nothing more then what we have see in most games, just far more object running with high framerate. I would put my thrust in Pixelux' DMM.

  • I can't decide which physics engine I should impliment into a little 3d game I'm making, PhysX or Havok, all the videos I find on them are amazing. The only problem I see is that PhysX seems to focus more on PPU cards which I don't have, does Havok run better if you don't have a PPU card?

  • It can't get much better then World of Warcraft

  • ??????

  • You're a noob then. A physics engine cannot get much WHORSE then World of Warcrap.

  • lol guise hes being sarcastic

  • That is cool. It's a good idea to have a dedicated physics card. No CPU load for physics. My only concern is, how good are these physics cards? Will they be able to support Euphoria (used in GTA IV)?

  • It really depends what physics card you get. If you are going to get one id go for Ageia physics card made by Nvidia. Although i very much doubt you will need one if u have a good gaming computer(quad core and a good nvidia gpu) But if you are lacking the power then id upgrade the cpu and gpu (core prossesing unit and graphics processing unit) first before splashing out on a physx card.

  • It dosen't really matter if you get an nvidia card, at least the new ones, because they come with a PhysX chip as part of the card like the 9800 GTX.

  • My computer, is obsolete...

  • destroy is good but idiot, create is better and more intelligent -_-'...

  • lol what's the future there if it's allready done :D

  • hey, whats the name of the song and whos it by?

    sounds like static x?

  • don't worry. found it.

  • lol, itsso funny how whenever i hear demented retarded music like this sum one always asks what is the name, siriously, that song suckes monkey ass or they would say it "goats blood".

  • This is Cellfactor: Revolution

  • With that fps count, it sux

  • i can do that if i injet myself too

  • this games called cell factor this footage is years old but the game still hasnt cum out yet...

  • it'll never come out you can now download it 4 free google it ;)

  • lol sik

  • n00b!!!

  • not future anymore this movie, they have havok with dmm and euphoria in the star wars force unleashed game, and those physics are better.

    but this is still great.

  • no. nvidia is gonna make physx come back and hard too. so expect to see realistic fluid and stuff in more games

  • they need to improve the liquid physics it really sucks but i doubt it will comeback havok is def. better and dmm is ridiculous physx is done for

  • You seriously do not know what you are talking about do you guys?

The point of cell factor and physX is running the physics calcs on the PhysX card or Nvidia gpu so that hundreds of calculations are being computed at the same time.

Havok and euphoria etc use the CPU so it can only do about 4 calculations at the same time. This means that it is WAY worse performing that physX.

you comparing a Gatling Gun to a bazooka. You can't do that. PhysX = many collisions, euphoria/havok = sexy physics

  • its still not the future becuase the future has dmm, this is only lots of, but future is about sexy physics instead of lots of... its all about the complexion of the script, how many collisions you can handle is hardware based and hardware can change forever, but software, thats the tricky part..

  • Comparing PhysX to Havok and especially euphoria is silly, while havok is very good it can no where near stand up to PhysX or CUDA, The hardware based physics means that it can preform up to 55 million physics operation without effecting CPU performance. Havok can not. Euphoria defiantly can not, it's not really built to process physic calculations. There are no real games that utilize the physics on this system to it's full potential.

    They would be awesome.

  • so how great would it be with hardware physics and dmm? i think dmm is like the next gen of physics. but how to merge dmm with hardware physics?

  • Merging DMM and any physics engine should be relatively easy regardless of the engine and phyics engine, be it Havok or PhysX, simply because DMM is just a plug in. DMM isn't next gen physics it just allows phyics engines to make better use of physical objects in game but I am not aware of a complete game engine by the people behind DMM.

  • @Cambesa i personaly think that physx has better collision and stuff. but euphoria is always beast xD

  • THIS GAME LOOKS...AWESOME!!!!!!

  • what game is this its awsome and if it isent a game than make it a game me and all my friends would by it

  • No need, its a free download. The game is called Cellfactor Revolution.

  • Where can I get it?

  • I keep hoping for the day where the specs of a computer don't matter that much because everything - the GPUs, the RAM - it would be on so high a level that it dosen't matter anymore. That's when gaming will be awesome. Graphics would be so realistic, it would be hard to find any differences between a real-life photo and one in a game (of the same location, of course).

    *sighs*

  • Physics engines are getting more and more realistic and even more fun to mess around with nowadays, soon there wont be one game without destructible environments and great physics. Technology is great!

  • skyro if you don't know what a physx card is look for ageia... Nvidia bought them out and to play the games that require that card you'd actually need it or just rather like playing at 4-15 FPS max

  • what this game is?

  • CELLFACTOR R36 BETA is say so in description

  • actually its called Cellfactor Revolution this vid is back in beta period

  • The problem with this kind of physics is it requires a physx card (Which no one wants to buy) and also it just feasts off your computer like a starved dog sometimes.

  • All recent NVIDIA cards already have a PhysX processor. Cellfactor supports this chip, and so does the NVIDIA Unreal Tournament 3 Map-pack.

  • phsx card? Ur talking crap friend. Videocard & CPU are doing the physics.

  • LOL go look it up.

i think they sell them at tiger direct.

    noob

  • ok sorry -_-'.. learned something new today. I thought that the CPU is calculating it:P ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • this is true.. Nvidia is going to enable its GPUs to processes the PhysX. That way you wont need a stand-alone Physics card.

  • ppu's (physics processing units) are cpu's specialy designed to calculate virtual physics interactions more effecientaly and accurately, video cards simply render an image, they have nothing to do with the actual physics

  • Good now check up GPGPU and Nvidia CUDA physics

Nvidia bought AGEIA and they just recoded it all for thei Cards using CUDA

And voila, goodbye AGEIA, Hello Nvidia CUDA Physics intergrated within the GPU :]

  • errr look @ the date it was added.

  • no future of game physics seen so far, same physics like many years ago, just raw PC-power. Physics like this are easy to implement and stupid, if not contributing to advanced gameplay.

  • yea

just look at the game CRYSIS.

its better than watever this is

  • Look at the date this video was added crysis wasn't out yet :P

  • Oh

    i didnt notice

    but crysis is still better

you dont have to go all tongue smiley on me

    thats the gayest shit ever

  • LOL ok sorry about that :D

  • prolly has same engine by the look of it

  • Yea but i still think crysic is much better looking

  • it's the demo of Ageia: Cellfactor

  • yeah what game is this

  • whats the game

  • 4 thing i want in games

no levels, just a big world, (it can be levels, but it shouldnt look as if it really is levels y'know?

2.things break up into loads and loads of pieces..so if you shoot a door only some parts will come off

    3.LOADS AND LOADS OF INTERACTIVITY

i still love the crysis interactivity, picking up guys and throwing them at fans and stuff is so fun, or making a stack of barrels and throwing him into it!

    4.LEVEL EDITOR!

    level editors are amazing!

    you can do anything!

  • games should be at least a little unrealistic. that's the point of video games right? otherwise it would be like living another dull and boring life, or if you do something illegal in a game you get arrested and have to go to court lol. we have to draw the line somewhere.

  • ummm?? so you call shooting people, throwing stuff around, driving cars and planes and much more boring?

  • not at all. i think you're missing my point. my point is games shouldn't be exactly like how we live are lives, and the physics should be dynamic. also were did i say shooting people, etc. is boring? lol i said "games should be at least a little unrealistic" "otherwise it would be like living another dull and boring life". i clearly said LIFE is boring not games, and the difference is games can be much more interesting if it wasn't exactly like life.

  • it's the opposite of what you think i said btw, if you still don't get it.

  • so??? your complimenting it?

  • yes, i'm complimenting games in general lol.

  • WOOOOO IVE CRACK YOUR RIDDLE!!!!...... but im still unsure about the phonominam that games... lol joke

  • lol glad to hear it ;D

  • What Game are you using?

    plz tell me.

Have you made it by your self or can i buy it?

  • You might have an excellent computer but the physics aren't that good at all.

  • this isn't really all that impressive. most objects just have ragdoll phyics and thats wat this is. peaople how every need to be interactive

  • HL2 BABAH!

  • btw, how do they do the game physics, is there like, a vector line of something?

  • fraps kills fps!

  • Havok is way better then ageia

  • the only problem with the physx cards is that they dont seem to know how strong gravity is compared with other forces

  • I agree, but this is dependant, since developers can set the force of gravity to their wishes. I think they lower gravity to make the objects flying around look more appealing.

  • Yeah.. I've always found that kind of disappointing in some games. They'll make great physics systems, only to fuck them up because they don't set the actual values to realistic settings... so it ends up looking stupid anyway.

  • if they were too make the physics more realistic, they would need to put a limit on how much force to exert because on most physics based games today, you can blow up most of a house with 1 grenade. in real life 1 grenade's force work probably leave slamm shrapnel marks. so they either decrease the force exerted or they increase the gravity to a more realistic level.

  • Agree on ya babeh.. Thats the real Physics Im talking about! But if tune everything to "realistic mode" there is no more fun already :(

  • lol star wars

  • Is the crappy music saying 'I'm a seagull'?

  • yes! hard core isn't it?

  • What is the name of that game?

  • The future is expensive :(

  • the future is chuck norris!

  • that´s right!

  • The future is D.M.M!

  • sorry but no!

PhysX is not nor will ever be the future of game physics! not enough games will ever use it. the future is hardware accelerated dedicated psychics but it will be from mutil-core or SLi graphics cards with a core left just for physics.

  • nvidia both the developer of PhysX and now they will release PhysX for Geforce. in the future every Geforce is able to use PhysX. the PhysX cards are dead, but PhysX is still the future!

  • ah, cool

  • you are right Rocco. SW:FU will include thousands of physical materials and (RUMOR) the game might include a editor for modding and creating new materials and models (and other stuff) into the mods.

  • star wars force unleashed has better physics it uses havok+digital molecular matter so that the materials act as they would in real life :)
