Second the Nissan 370z's engine displacement is too large for rally (limit is 2 litres). third, with all of the obvious hints, why think this is a drift car? fourth, how did u get so many thumbs with such a poorly constructed comment. fifth, in case u still dont get it, its a WRC/Gymkhana car. Lastly, Evo's arent a common choice for drifting cars, enither are 370z's...so...yeah... lol dont need to flame me, meant no disrespect.

If you haven't been keeping tabs on the WRC, Block is now with Subaru (with Impreza WRX STi). I think they did an engine swap with it to fit regulations (stock car has 2.5L). I don't see a 370Z getting in the WRC but I do see an Evo (They already are racing in it).

It truly comes down to dollars and cents, and how they view u as a driver. Ken Block to me is a gimic, and i dont think has made many waves in the WRC (correct me if im wrong). the reason why evo's arent common drift cars is b/c they are 4wd, which produces a different style of drifting that doesnt fit D1...

@danelio They must have changed the engine in he 350Z to meet rally qualifications. I think the 370Z isn't a real contender for rallying. It has a huge V6 to get its power and Nissan doesn't make 2 Liter engines as their speciality. They are good at 3.5 - 4.0L V6's. That is why we don't see a 370
@MegaGuru15 sorry, should have specified. the 350z rally cars aren't in wrc spec but they still got the stock engine. its a different class but it still competes against wrc spec cars in certain events. search "Exotic Green Rally 2011" and watch that vid. there is a few 350's in there. these events are usually smaller and have a bigger variety of cars and less restrictions.
@turbomoonie actually you are incorrect you can run a nissan 370z engine. the engine displacement can be larger than 2 litres in a rally. it just depends on the class in which you race in.

Although possible to use a 370z, i dont think it would be wise. That car has a heavy frame, and the cost to make it competitive would not really make it viable for a team. I could be wrong but whatever. shows how much i watch WRC nowadays lol.
@rocketpunchgo1 Something to keep in mind when it comes to rally is the Ford RS200 it was quite a legendary rally car from the mid 80s. And in more recent history the Ford Focus RS rally cars have done pretty well also. I'm guessing you have mistaken gymkhana for something that came from drifting which is understandable.
Citroen has obviously made better progress in real rally, but Ford gets a lot of visibility trough these videos Ken Block makes. He's also a great street driver, but the real ones are the WRC drivers like Loeb and Hirvonen. They drive a car like Block's for their job, not for entertainment.

My gf bought a brand new 2011 Fiesta, first one sold in CT. 2 months later the computer that recognizes her transmission fried. Then a few months after that the power window motor went. Then it got stuck in 2 inches of snow, though in the Ford's defense she didnt have snow tires on. She then decided to go back to an actual reliable well built car and bought a subaru. It did get fantastic mpg and the lime green color was pretty "flashy" and the sync was cool, but overall it was crap.

@danelio They must have changed the engine in he 350Z to meet rally qualifications. I think the 370Z isn't a real contender for rallying. It has a huge V6 to get its power and Nissan doesn't make 2 Liter engines as their speciality. They are good at 3.5 - 4.0L V6's. That is why we don't see a 370

@MegaGuru15 sorry, should have specified. the 350z rally cars aren't in wrc spec but they still got the stock engine. its a different class but it still competes against wrc spec cars in certain events. search "Exotic Green Rally 2011" and watch that vid. there is a few 350's in there. these events are usually smaller and have a bigger variety of cars and less restrictions.

@turbomoonie actually you are incorrect you can run a nissan 370z engine. the engine displacement can be larger than 2 litres in a rally. it just depends on the class in which you race in.

@rmz250sv Thanks actually! I didnt realize that they hd upped the displacement allowed to 2.5L. I apologize (wish youtube would allow you to edit posts). Although possible to use a 370z, i dont think it would be wise. That car has a heavy frame, and the cost to make it competitive would not really make it viable for a team. I could be wrong but whatever. shows how much i watch WRC nowadays lol.

@rocketpunchgo1 Something to keep in mind when it comes to rally is the Ford RS200 it was quite a legendary rally car from the mid 80s. And in more recent history the Ford Focus RS rally cars have done pretty well also. I'm guessing you have mistaken gymkhana for something that came from drifting which is understandable.

Citroen has obviously made better progress in real rally, but Ford gets a lot of visibility trough these videos Ken Block makes. He's also a great street driver, but the real ones are the WRC drivers like Loeb and Hirvonen. They drive a car like Block's for their job, not for entertainment.

My gf bought a brand new 2011 Fiesta, first one sold in CT. 2 months later the computer that recognizes her transmission fried. Then a few months after that the power window motor went. Then it got stuck in 2 inches of snow, though in the Ford's defense she didnt have snow tires on. She then decided to go back to an actual reliable well built car and bought a subaru. It did get fantastic mpg and the lime green color was pretty "flashy" and the sync was cool, but overall it was crap.
