what the fuck was the point of goebbles making this video? he overdid it. he tried to make the waffen ss look so superior, but he didn't have to show them doing EVERYTHING, lol. they're skiing, playing chicken, riding horses, flipping, etc. how does doing flips help a soldier get better? lol. this video is just overdone propaganda. he could've left out the music, and/or he could've just showed them actually training. this just looks so cheesy, lol. but that was goebbles.

P5 - modern studies show that the wSS was 3.3 times more lethal than Soviets & 1.4 more than Allied soldiers - despite being numerically inferior. This is probably because they molded the technological approach with ethics & the fighter-thinker approach. The only method lacking was Fabian incrementalism & winning hearts & minds which the Romans & British used. wSS however where in a war of attrition often against terrorist - just like we are in M/East & periphery.

Its still a good documentary - boxing & grappling & Tactical Advance Battle where used to toughen up troops, but it is fieldcraft & marksmanship that are the basic tools of soldiering but that does not answer the Q I am interested in - the Soviets had often better weapons & used illegal tactics & soviet soldiers feared having their families slaughter by Stalin's NKVD if they did not gain Victory - just like modern crime families & Alqueada.

This doc is obviously for domestic purposes - the "training" is mostly showing the down time or applicable to war sporting actions - only the last few seconds are showing troops on field exercise be it with horses for transport, to show the ethos of the wSS. The reason is to increase confidence but withhold tactical information from foreign intel. From what I have read the wSS used long route marches just like the Royal marines or Paras. As well as live fire assault & mechanized exercises.

It's because of the Soviets having more men, and the Axis lacking enough supplies. They raped the Soviets during the invasion. It's only after supplies became sparse and vast amounts of men gathered against the Axis did they lose. Even then, Germany's average soldiers were still better than your average Allied soldiers one on one.
