yes. pretty much korean pop culture old and new is an emulation of japanese pop culture.
note emulation and imitation is different.

It might be the case with trot as the scales and some other stylistic elements are similar, but the newer pop of the Hallyu wave (it's not calles japanese wave btw) has obviously been a lot more inspired by american pop culture and been turned into something very Korean, and if you have ever been in those countries you should have noticed, that there are also lots of differences in clothing style hair style and so on. It's a mutual influence with lots of impulses coming now from Korea.

The name is wrong!!!! She is JANG YOON JONG, not CHang Yoon JUng! My god, that's why I can't find her name in any site but here. You must take a few minute to learn Hangul, you will see what's wrong.

actually, she is Jang Yun Jeong, if you use the up-to-date romanization, but since there are about 4 differents romanizations, you will always have problems with this
