@upiluften Maybe, but that wasn't the cause of the crash. He came in waay too fast and tried to force the plane down. A landing is only as good as your approach, and his approach was fucked! Should have gone around.

@smarttubber123 First plane you should start with is a simulator!!! If you must fly a plane make sure it glides and only has a rudder and elevator no ailerons on the wings!!

By the time he knew he needed to go around his airspeed was too low and he couldn't spool the turbines back up.

It went into high grass hard to see how it hit.

Long grass is your friend if you don't cartwheel.

I've had a plane go into high grass at high speed and all it did was bend the landing gear as it mowed a 40 ft path with the wings. He could have minor damage... could be a wreck. We didn't see enough to speculate.

Great plane! Unfortunately, the plane looks like it handles just like the real counterpart: very sluggish on landing. Yes, the pilot came in high and fast, but when he pitched up, the plane stalled, which is similar to that of the real DC-10. But howcome I saw KC-11 instead of KC-10 in the video label on the bottom of the screen? Heaven forbid if there was an actual KC-11, since that particular plane really IS a flying coffin!

100% Pilot error, he came in too high and too fast, then advanced the throttle to go around but it was too late... :( Nice video, though!

Beautiful aeroplane. Nice take-off roll also.

It's a pity the pilot wasn't able to abort the landing and go around when the landing profile was incorrect . The base turn was too early.

Hope to see it fly again soon though........................­.. :-)
