  • I looked up "how to solve all your problems" as a massive hopeful move, i was feeling depressed, alone, bored and tired. After watching this video i realise thati actually have a great life.

  • Hi Harley:

I liked that video. I am a new coach, so I appreciate all the help. When you offer more videos, I'll be watching

  • Hi Harle -I am also a life coahc we should do a dual seminar!! But lets not get a head over ourself!!! recently I lost some of my best birds and my cat rufflerg has been looking extra happy and fat!! i think he ate my birds!!What should I do to rufflerg? Shuld I talk to someone about this even though I too am a life coach, where would I turn? If my birds flew away that is all fine and wonderful not they are so happy but if rufflerg ate them I will be devastated and probably not feed him anymore.

  • Hi Harley,

I am glad you mentioned that even Life Coaches have problems and hassles as well, life is a continuous process....you fix one issue and another pops up....that's why we use all the different tools for each. Oh yea...bald men are sexy, especially with that beard, you have nothing to worry about!

  • @Wandarh7 you bet they have problems! But as long as you have the necessary toolkit to accomplish overcumming your problems, you can overcum anything! When my birds went missing i didnt no what to do!!! I grabbed the nearest cat in my hosue and sternly told him that if he knows anything abotu the birds that he better cough it up!!! fortoonately he didnt!!!! now I don't know where those birds are but at least I still have my cats and a few more birds!!! I would be alone without them

  • hi toolman thanks for this vedio i loved your presentaion it ws realy very good i liked it and will continue watching it always thanks best regds prem

  • Harley, this is an excellent video. I like the way you classify problems and hassles. Bravo!

  • Good work; I get the hair part. In the beganing I did not know where you where headed, but when you put problems and hasseles in prespective I full understood what it was all about. I have not got any problems.

  • Hi Harley

What can I say - I thought blimey, this bloke is taking a while to get to the point, then you did the hat thing and made me laugh out loud and then I was hooked!

  • Have hell of a lot of money problems at this time are at a lose. Love the video. Very timely message! You made your point, as I just told A FINAL Notice death is cheap if I did not have my loving wife & daughter would just give up. But there are others worse off than me, as I did live in a third world country for five years, then what you see on TV, landslides, floods, tidal waves GEE I HAVE IT LUCKY even if I can't pay the bill to fix a darn police car I run into the back of. no break lights

  • @Yourtravelsecrets Believe it or not I ran into the back of a parked police car once too! Best wishes with your hassles. cheers Coach Harley

  • I never thought of Problems and Hassles the way you do..The video was okay but you made your piont.

  • @lcb514 That was very interesting. I would like to hear about what can be done with somebody with a small learning disability who would like to study and live away from home many others who don't have a disability do but she is older than others who have went to college or university or college after finishing secondary school but her family strongly disaprooves.....

  • What I like about this video was the eye opener of what we should consider as a Problem or a Hassle. This helps with my approach to helping clients determine how to priorities what's eating away at the core of keeping them from being happy in life....Thanks..Life Coach...C. Nik Dace B.T.C. Enterprise

  • I love your comparison! It's simple but it puts things into perspective!

  • I liked the video. I liked hearing another persons perspective about life the way you put it. Thank you, I needed that friend!

  • Simple, sweet and straightforward. like it!!

  • thanks please continue with problems vs hassles. where do i draw the line to apporaching problems or hassles as challenges and in a more positive fram, is there any benfit to this or is it denying some reality.

    thanks

  • Thank you Toolman :)

  • LifeCoachToolman, I liked the video. It does put things into perspective. I have had many "hassels" and "problems" in my lifetime. All u said is great, & it is all about the way u think & the way u percieve things in ur life. It is all about choice. Are u going to percieve an issue as a hassel, or are u going to stress about something that can be fixed. It becomes a waste of energy that u can use on something else. Thank u for sharing this & I can not wait to see the next video.

  • Hiya Harley,

Just got off the phone with my roofer. His company replaced our roof recently, and has been back to fix it several times, with no luck. He says it's a design problem, and most homes in Auckland have leaky roofs because of these design problems. Not sure if that's a problem, or just a 300,000 + home hassle, but yeah, there are bigger problems in life.

P.S. - embrace that "questionable" bald spot while you can. It means you still have SOME hair, unlike me. What a hassle. ; )

  • Dear Toolman,

You are so gennuine, and make concepts so understandable. I wihs mots people were like you, and...thank God you are a coach to others... Lucky them!

  • Thanks Toolman, what you said makes perfect sense. Wonder why I didn't think of it myself. Could that have something to do with the fact that you are the Life Coach and I am not. Look forward to more ....please....

  • thanks Toolman! i really liked listening to you.

something funny, i never noticed your hair/perceived bald patch until you pointed it out.

    keep them coming!

  • That was great, I agree however we could take it a step further and state that, what is a hassle for one person, may not be hassle at all for the next who is accustomed to such things. For instance, it may be a hassle for Mrs Jones to have to get the bus into work Monday morning as her car broke down on Saturday. But Mr Smith, who lives across the street from Mrs Jones would LOVE to get the bus into work, instead of walking the 6 mile round trip everyday.

Thanks for a great video Toolman!

  • Hi, Thanks for this video. I really see how certain things are only hassles, while others can be problems. I am also embarking on the journey to become a life coach, and you have given me great inspiration. Keep it up mate!

  • OMG I was so going to make fun of you and this video but I gave it a chance and you are a pretty cool dude.. keep up the good work ! Great information

  • Toolman! You just convinced me that I'm ready to become a Life Coach. The Hassles vs Problems lesson really resonates with me, especially now. Thank you for your honesty. You're an inspiration, like I intend to be.

  • Greetings!

Is it a year since U posted the Hassle/ Problem video? No matter, I've just watched and listened.

I like your honesty, your integrity, the humility of your vanity & your sense of humour.

The message itself is important & powerful and echoes one of my own guiding principles: "In the great scheme of things, nothing matters VERY much!"

When I remember that, I get a sense of perspective and squander less energy on the trivial and futile.

    Go well

  • This video was very unique. It wasn't what I expected but yet it was thought provoking, therefore accomplishing it's goal. I definitely had to just sit quietly and think about the message. Oh yeah, the hat trick was funny, my 4 yr old kept asking me to rewind that part. I would love to see more videos.

  • thanks harley for the great vid i am embarking on my new journey as a life coach and find these vids help so much with building a great resource folder that i can use later thanks again ..neil

  • Hi LCTM,

Thank you for helping the rest of us who are self learner of the life coaching world. I really appreciate it and I would love to hear more videos.

Good luck on your place, it will all be ok.

    God Bless, Sue

  • You've totally put things into perspective. A hassle is very different from a problem and we have focus on gratitude and not on our creature comforts. Brilliant straight to the point, honest video. More please.

  • well done on this video,

I believe we as individuals should be more thankful despite of our challenges and hassels in life. I made me think outside of the square. thankyou once again

  • A well structured talk....put things into perspective because we do tend to stress about hassles as though they were life threatening issues. Thanks for the guidance here.

I'd like to hear talks on Confidence!

  • Harley,

Thank you for this video....it hits the button! Going through a kind of messy separation, I get the "aww poor you" from friends, and my reply is invariably...."Heah, I am going to be fine...it is just the "process" that is uncomfortable. Financial woes, a broken heart...these things will repair with time...even that, at its core, is a hassle. A hassle with tears attache, but just a hassle. You, with or without the hat....rock!

  • Hi c8r04, sorry to hear about your recent circumstances. No one said that hassles aren't difficult to deal with! Thanks for telling me that I rock - I do literally actually - being the drummer in a band! Best regards Harley

  • Very timely message! I can sympathize with the flooding situations, as we have been dealing with the same repeatedly for the last 7 years. This week our "hassel" is having "lost" our dog's electronic invisible fence collar, which will cost $260 to replace, and not having a clue as to how it got off her or where it might be! Heck, money is just something to keep score with, to quote my husband!

  • Hi healthcoachjeanne, thanks for the post. Sorry to hear about the 7 years of flooding - good luck with the dog collar! cheers Coach Harley.

  • Hey Toolman ... have been getting your newsletters for a while now and usually push the delete key if I am honest as my inbox is pretty full, but being a very visual person I loved this format and sat here very interested in your message, so keep them coming and I will keep tuned in. Cheers!

  • Hi coryefan. Thanks for the feedback - does this mean you wont be so quick to delete them in future?! cheers Harley

  • nice comparision...hassle vs. problem. Great piece in assessing any issue.

  • Thanks mikekrutza! Will email soon. cheers Harley

  • It's so recognizable! And they key is...it's so simple when you think about it...we just need to be remembered once in a while...! Thanks for sharing! Liesbeth

  • I liked the video - I'm on the brink of ordering your tool kit and seeing the video was the push I needed. I'll be purchacing the kit next week.

    Thanks

  • Hi berkmerc, thanks for your kind words about the video. Enjoy the toolkit! kind regards Harley

  • Hi,I liked the video and the message. I need this tools. It's stretheing. I appereciate your strength and your ability to make a lesson that you share with us from what happened to you.

  • Hey Hey Toolman

My name is ange. A a year ago my close wanted to be a lifecoach and said I have a natural gift. Anyhoo I knew you was going to describe your situation as a 'hassle' before you even said it. I was wondering if you could be my mentor. I know it's alot to ask from someone I've never met, but I think it would be kind of sweet. The trouble with a natural gift is focusing on harnessing it! Maybe you could help? We should definitely hook up. Kind regards and many thanks.xxxxxxxxx

  • Like many of the previous comments, this puts things into persceptive! I think my life to a huge degree sucks right now, but when I ask myself are my problems really problems or just hasseles. I am reminded that I have lots more to be thankful for. I beleive that mine are simply hasseles. It was suggested in a book I am reading to note 3 things every night I am thankful for and it really helps to reread those when I am feeling bad. I liked the video and do hope to see more. Thanks

  • Hi Thanks for the comments. With a name like Harley, Ive got to be into bikes - I ride red - a CR250R6! cheers

  • How true, we focus on moll hills and give them full value; so when the "mountain" (serious, life threating problems etc.) happens in our lives, we have no power or energy left to deal with it. REALLY lets us know what our values, perspectives are in life. Great advice, thanks,Helen.M

  • Hi jelowyi - yes a very good point about not having energy left over! cheers Harley

  • This video has the same two qualities that make your newsletter so great: 1) sharing a relevant personal story is a very effective way of illustrating a point, and creates rapport; and 2) the points you make are deceptively simple, yet profound, and incredibly helpful and inspiring.

Thanks! and keep up the great work!

    :-) Cheri

  • Top effort I reakon. Lead by example is a very good motto. I have had many years of chemical poisoning in my youth and have had a benign tumor removed from my inner ear 5 years ago. I live with hassles from these challenges daily. When needed, and its seldom, i remember others who I see as having a problem as you described. It puts it all into perspective! Attitude defines the level of altitude :-) Keep up your good work and thankyou. Robert

  • Hi out2surfn, sorry to hear about your health issues dude. I can relate about the chemical poisoning - I too know how difficult that is to deal with, in my case the best and the worst thing I have had to contend with in life. Keep in touch, Harley.

  • Excellent Harley.

As always your honesty is refreshing.

    Howard Dixon

  • I thought that was really inspiring and makes lots of sense - yes, there is a massive difference between a problem and a hassle, it takes someone like you to remind us!! Great stuff!

  • Hi! Thanks for sharing your thoughts re: problem-solving.... I appreciate it. I'm just wondering, though, (1) how you'd consider not having quality/paying coaching clients --- a problem or a hassle? and (2) if you'd have the time to have a longer/in-depth discussion of this topic.... I find it very interesting and practical, that's why.

    Cheers,

    Maria

  • Thanks for the newsletters. Its nice to have food for thought!

  • Honesty is good !!

the story was a little long

the Hat...well, defenitly cute and good for a smile!

    NOW, the hair.......................

I believe you about the bald spot but......

I would recommend that bald is VERY sexy AND distinguished AND...you will never have to worry about the lighting!!!

Your message hit home lots, my daughter is a Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer Survior!!

I have been enjoying your newsletters and am looking foward to more of your videos

  • HI lcs1129 - sorry to hear about the cancer, I guess thats what lcs stand for? You could teach me lots about problems and hassles I'm sure. Thanks for the kind words. Harley

  • WOW Good message took a bit too long gettig to it....

  • This guy is crazy - but I love what he says!
