In this case I'd say he dislikes humanity ... the purpose of the mass produced evas is to initiate 3rd impact (or the seele scenario of the human instrumentality projekt ... if you like it that way) ... getting rid of asuka/Nerv was just part of the job. HE HATES US ALL :D
