You just have 1 guy search for a match and everyone else watches him and joins session in progress as soon as it becomes available.

I dunno about blops, but friends and I did this successfully in mw2, playing against each other 6v6 when we had too many for big team but wanted to play ranked.

One thing I'd like to mention is that you might want to start assigning guys in your party to have certain kill streaks. Like 3 or 2 guys only run the high stuff and everybody else has spy planes to black birds. That reduces the problem of people fighting over calling in choppers and black birds.
