raocow all you need to do is to take the blue yoshi from the boss room in the ghost house level and eat one of those koopa shells before the wall of blocks so you can easily fly over. It worked for me!

I counted 97-98 coins collected. I think there may be 2-3 invisible coin blocks in there somewhere if you have to collect 100 coins. I'm GUESSING that's why there are so many random coins and those custom blocks there are blocking your progress.

I've seen custom blocks somewhere that block your progress unless you've collected so many coins in a level before, so that's just my guess.
