  • probally the finest piece of music in the last 23 years

  • In all the time I got planted on LSD and listened to this gear, not once did I gaze at my shoes., despite how cool they looked.

  • great song, great memories

  • off the hook!

  • Didn't realise this was a Jon Da Silva remix until now.

  • My tune of the week!

  • first heard pigeonhole early 90 s, hooked on New Fads

  • saw them under the flyover westway w11 and camden why the fuck ave they not reformed ... did they fall out with eachother?

  • Saw the New FADs at Preston polly freshers ball about 1990. They had a life size cardboard cut out of Angus Young on stage!

  • HAVE NOT HEARD THIS PIECE

    SINCE

    CLUB WARSAW

    downtown lost angels

    Spun by

    DJ MIRAKEL

  • turn it up

  • Now this was just about the maddest track I ever heard on acid!

    Pure Classic..................THX 4 posting XXXXXXXXXX

  • Saw them supporting James in Blackpool around 1990. Brilliant gig.

  • I was at that gig.First time I'd heard of them, but one of the best bands I've ever seen live. Absolutely rocked the place.

  • Same here , twas a night to remember. both good. both good. Jenks really did well for bands in our day didn't it? family cat, Blur, Neds, Carter and of course the good old Paris Angels.

    great stuff lad. great stuff.

  • i got all this stuff on vinyl, big fan back in the day top live shows still cant put it into a genre, really is on its own !! way ahead of its time still sounds fresh fucking ace

  • Couldn't put it better myself!! In a time when indie pop, shoegazing and grunge ruled this stood out on its own, the reason that it didn't sit in a fad (no pun itended....ok maybe a little)is probably why they weren't more successful.

  • jon da silva. Awesome talent. so lucky to spend 12 months working with him

  • no' I'll have a look...there's a prick born every minute...thanks again Mr Ferret

  • of course not! I eeally appreciate it being here and have used the link numerous times! thanks

    jon

  • Na na, thank you for this timeless classic.

You should see what some folk have written about Andy Weatherall's remake of My Bloody Vanentine's Soon.

  • @thevirgohifi this track is amazing. i remember you playing sheffield hallam uni in about 93, first track was lost in music nearly took the roof off! (they were my 1210s you spun on too hehe)

  • as the remixer...more re writer, of this track I am still waiting for my cheque, guys...

as for "shoe gaze", you are a fool, sir and deserve a drubbing...

for those NFADS fans, it is a track of my own invention into which I placed the darling boys...and made them pure sex

  • lol

  • Cheers for this classic, there are some people who appreciate this tune.

I hope you're ok with it being posted up here?

  • used to drive da silva to his gigs for overa year, all his remixes were quality, has a site on my space with some band with a squirrel in it.

  • mate, andy was round my house at the weekend (Y)

  • It's just like someone switched a lightbulb on in my head. Electric sunshine for the mind!.

  • Any chance of putting the instrumental version of Big from the Peel Sessions on here?

  • cankers, the originals much better

  • fool

  • Mmmm I'm very very much liking this...

  • Mmmmm I'm very much liking this..

  • I still play this to this day! It will be in my dj set again! Shoegaze it man ... mad fer it! NEW FAST AUTOMATIC!

  • Shoegazeing? A ridiculous phase in british music. Best forgotten.

  • get youre termenology right pal newfads were never a shoegazing band you pillock not that theres anything wrong with a bit of shoegaze!Stick to oasis!

  • haha. couldn't have put it better myself. wasn't a fan of shoegaze (except for a bit of ride) but still, it was of its time.

  • Ride, My bloody Valentine, Slow dive and swerevedriver were pretty decent but not a match for the new fads. Just a pitty they were lumped in with the whole madchester scene.

  • Anybody got a vid for "All Over My Face"? Ahh.

  • Well fuckin' done that man

  • nice nice

  • oh yes! takes me back kid!

  • It's been a long time.

  • It's a fantastic little number, TW.

I thought it was due an airing on You Tube. ;-)
