Same here , twas a night to remember. both good. both good. Jenks really did well for bands in our day didn't it? family cat, Blur, Neds, Carter and of course the good old Paris Angels.
i got all this stuff on vinyl, big fan back in the day top live shows still cant put it into a genre, really is on its own !! way ahead of its time still sounds fresh fucking ace
Couldn't put it better myself!! In a time when indie pop, shoegazing and grunge ruled this stood out on its own, the reason that it didn't sit in a fad (no pun itended....ok maybe a little)is probably why they weren't more successful.
@thevirgohifi this track is amazing. i remember you playing sheffield hallam uni in about 93, first track was lost in music nearly took the roof off! (they were my 1210s you spun on too hehe)
get youre termenology right pal newfads were never a shoegazing band you pillock not that theres anything wrong with a bit of shoegaze!Stick to oasis!
Ride, My bloody Valentine, Slow dive and swerevedriver were pretty decent but not a match for the new fads. Just a pitty they were lumped in with the whole madchester scene.
probally the finest piece of music in the last 23 years

In all the time I got planted on LSD and listened to this gear, not once did I gaze at my shoes., despite how cool they looked.

Na na, thank you for this timeless classic.
You should see what some folk have written about Andy Weatherall's remake of My Bloody Vanentine's Soon.

as the remixer...more re writer, of this track I am still waiting for my cheque, guys...
as for "shoe gaze", you are a fool, sir and deserve a drubbing...
for those NFADS fans, it is a track of my own invention into which I placed the darling boys...and made them pure sex
