  • million-dollar game shows, that's what i remember most about 1999, and if i'm not mistaken dick hosted 1 of them, ("winning lines".)

  • BORN 1992 ^^

  • @wrestlemania957 It was on Friday.

  • I think this event had a record number of people in Times Square at once...2 million!

  • Man, the Goo Goo Dolls played in Times Square that night & I cannot find the footage. Can anyone help? Thanks

  • 10 years ago, an entire decade... Where did all that time go? Man.

  • No kiddin'. My daughter was born in april of 2000 I cannot believe she is gonna be ten this year ALREADY!!!!

  • Haha another 10 years and she'll be 20! Better start saving for college :P

  • I know right no kiddin'. I actually started doin' that in '08. At first I was a little apprehensive about it but, it's my lil princess. Trust me it would impose a detrimental threat on my parenting skillz if my wife and I did not agree together, to make a valiant effort in the regard of makin' sure our baby girls future is straight. Ya know?

  • Haha true, I don't even know if my dad's saving for my college or not.

  • @BoyBlaze2002

and you wanna hear something scarier. if you think 10 years passed by now, just wait to see how fast the next 10 years will past. Your daughter who is 10 now will be 20 in no time. Seriously, i was 10 in 2000, and now im 20. I can't believe it

  • @Superflykid2008. I can most definitely vouch for you in that aspect brother. This year 2010 alone has already pretty much FLEW by. Granted it's still present but, where the hell did the summer go???? It just came and went. Time really started accelerating when I graduated from highschool. The years go faster and, faster it seems like. Wow so you were born in '90. It's funny because I have cousins who, were born that year and, i can remember 2000 like it was yesterday. One of my favorite years.

  • @BoyBlaze2002

yeah, feels like 2010 just started, and it's almost over. Soon enough we'll be celebrating new years 2011

  • @Superflykid2008. i really don't like to give out my real age but, I was born in 1980. I cannot believe I'm 30 already. I can remember back in 1990 when I was 10. Man...... heh, before I knew it February of 2000 came and I was 20. I wish the time would just slow down a tad bit if, thats not askin' too much ya know?

  • @BoyBlaze2002

I was actually born late 89, which is why im 20...my birthday is in mid november...

  • @Superflykid2008. '89? Good now I don't feel so old any more. You're and 80's baby like myself. I assumed you were born in '90 because all of my cousins who were born that year graduated in 2008, I graduated 10 years earlier (1998). You have 2008 attached to your name so I just went by an assumption. My bad.

  • @BoyBlaze2002

I did graduate in 2008...I have a late birthday, so i started school around the same time as people born in 90 did, since my birthday was so close to the following year...

  • 2010 is ten days away from them new decade!!!!!!!

  • True.

  • These kinds of colored whigs that those people wear, what are they called? i'm just wondering.

  • Mylar whigs!!

  • Well, they're acually called tinsel wigs.

  • Mabye thats the other there name but Dick Clark calls them Mylar Wigs @ 5:05 .

  • Well maybe Dick Clark made up mylar wigs. They are acually called tinsel wigs.

  • Dick Clark makes up a lot of things?

  • Well, I don't know, my previous comment is probably just an opinion. :P

  • Like he exagerates about how many strobe lights there are in the new year ball on Dec 31st 2000 new years eve ball drop.

  • 0:10, the last time we saw Dick Clark in 1999.

  • What's the name of the song at 2:27 - 6:27?

  • sounds like Barry Manilow....but the name of the song...got no idea.

  • Comment removed

  • The name of the song that begins @ 6:31 is titled "Asent of Time" .

  • thanks i was wondering what the name of that song was

  • This was the first year when the ball was made of Waterford Crystal.

  • yes, and it sure was a beauty.

it originally was only going to be droped that new years eve.

  • But it was used until Dec 31st 2006, in case you didn't know. Then from Dec 31st 2007 onwards, they used the so called "energy efficent" ball, but the new ball in my opinion sucks compared to the original Waterford Crystal ball that was used from Dec 31st 1999 to Dec 31st 2006! :(

  • Yes I dont know what was wrong with other ball. at least they could have made a new Waterford Crystal one.

  • I think that they should bring back the strobe lights into the ball at least for the ball drop at the end of this year, or even better, completely redesign the ball from the ground up for the end of this year ball drop.

  • good old Dick Clark donig what he does on New Years Eve at his best!!
