Sorry to bother you but I was hoping that you could help me out.
I have just bought a Countryman Isomax headset microphone which has the wrong socket on the cable for my Shure belt pack, The headset has 3 wire's, Black Red and Screen.
I have bought a mini XLR socket to connect to my belt pack and I now need to know how to wire it up and was hoping that you can help me, I have emailed Countryman support twice but have had no reply, Any help you can give would be appreciated.
"Hold in place while it cools..." or get a roll of 63/37 solder that is capable of being solid and liquid at 361˚. I hate waiting almost as much as I hate burning fingers from holding parts while solder cools.
Hey Jeff thanks for your video post, I just threw my mike cable away because it stopped working the other day, I was planning to buy a new cable, when I remembered that YouTube has helped me before with appliances I have installed myself, and I just wanted to thank you and Expert Village for your help...how to videos do help......thanks again
Hello any thoughts on how to repair a cable for a lavalier wireless mic where the connector attaches to the transmitter (break in cable). The connector is a TA3F-type connector. Seems difficult to get it apart. Thanks
Thank you Sir for the simple step by step instructions for teaching us how to repair a malfunctioned microphone and most of all thanks to expert village for their videos
hold on i need to make a repair with my wireless mic that piece you are holding how much is that piece my question can you make it with just materials
Yeah I tried repairing my headphones last night and they are extremely annoying becuz of the rubber insulation. I ended up melting the plastic more than getting the wires soldered correctly. Going to get a smaller tip solder gun today.

What is this guy doing on Expert village. He actually knows what he's doing which is in sharp contrast to the rest.

@andrewt248 Or you could just wear gloves... idiot.
Muaguana 1 year ago
@Muaguana Yeah because everyone wants to solder with gloves on. You must have small hands. We all know what that means.

I always have to solder my mice and headset cords(rabbits). Tiny little wires. The hardest part is removing the insulation without tearing the wires.
