When I bought this in 2007, Danbury Mint was selling them for around $500 a pop. The model has since been discontinued---------if you want one on eBay, be prepared to pay BIG DOLLARS! Mine sold for way more than the $500 I originally paid. Sometimes you can catch a "Buy It Now" and get them for less, but they don't turn up on eBay very often.

I have several if these super detail 1/12's............I figured might as well let this one go as indeed I built something very similar sans the working lights and top. :) I'd like to see Danbury do a '55 or '57 T-Bird, with all the bells and whistles, but in talking with the folks at Danbury, they tell me the 1/12 scale models are money losers for them. Folks would rather have the 1/24 to 1/18 scales.
