I got a 92 Camaro RS 3.1 and I know a thing or two about the Camaros in that year and your 305 Z28 (because 350s require hood scoops) IS BAD ASS!! Is this the 25th aniversary edition? thats what i have and everywhere i got people are always tellin me to roast the tires. I even went and got gas the other day and the guy pumping my gas (I live in a state where you have to let someone else pump ur gas

) tried to buy my car then when i said no he asked me to at least burn out on the way out of the gas station, so i gave him a nice little show lol but nothin like this

@p0pe1991 ok first off,( mine is 5 speed jus 2 let you know so wat i do and wat u do r diff) what you need to do is pop it down into first, even though it is an automatic you can still drop into first. make sure if your has a traction control button or not, if it does make sure you hold it down for 5 sec. to turn it off or else you will kill ur brakes. next hold the brake and give it some gas, when it gets between 3-5k rpm let go of the brake and turn the wheel hard to the side you want to go

@yootoob04 no, you have to remember in the 80s is when they put a bunch of fuckin smog bullshit on them and gears were low so was the stall !!! doesnt have anything to do with the motor considering they were rated at 325 lbs ft tq from factory! take the smog bullshit out put bigger gears in that bitch and it will shit on any older 5.0s hoods! motor is just fine, trust me!

@camaro88iroc The gearing doesn't effect HP. I'm well aware that the Irocs came with 3.23s and the RS 3.08s which isn't terrible, I also know for sure the power numbers those motors made. The motors are old and weak that's just all there is. No aluminum, no high flow heads, no individual coil packs, injectors that handle half the load of moderns....there really is no way around how weak they were, and I know for a fact what they dyno at.

@yootoob04 thats not what i said. dude gearing totally matters. if you dont have higher gears the less power your going to transfer down to the ground. bigger gears transfers more power to the ground faster. and no, only the i think it was G92 optioned cars had the borg warner 3.23s in them(in 88) but were standard optioned in 87s. mine is an 88 iroc 350 w/ 2.77s. the 3.23s were a G92 code, so no not all irocs had them. 305s had 3.45s in some years. this is on thirdgen.org

Was that a 5.0 or 5.7 TPI auto? Seemed a little soft on smokin em off the beginning.. My '92 Z28 5.7 TPI lights up the tires instantly without standing on the brakes for more than 1 second..

willywonka...Look up the facts... Not only was the 5.0L Mustang GT faster than the 5.7 IROC's, most of the 60's and some of the 70's (mach 1's) models (except mustang II's) were faster. The LT1 and LS1 changed that, however, Camaro's have always had a better balance of power vs handling. I love both models, and hope this debate lives on for a long time to come.
