  • ok starving yourself is NOT good. if your body doesnt get food, it will begin to eat your internal organs. dont tell me im wrong, LOOK IT UP. why do you think people die? if starving lost FAT, people would get fast then be normal. if you starve you will never be normal ever again. if you really want to loose weight, eat MORE. im not talkin sonic and crap, eat good things like fruits and veggies. its not just that its temporary your body literally eats itself if that dont gross u out u got ISSUES

  • I have a question what do you consider to be a healthy Breakfast(I only have about 5 minutes in the morning too eat) , Lunch ( im at school) and dinner, ( somethings i can ask my Mom too buy insteead of junk food. also what are good, healthy snacks ?

  • I agree that weighing yourself can be misleading but if you are overweight having a target weight can really help keep focus. If someone is in the healthy weight range then I think there is no need =)

  • Even though it's not your field much it absolutely works out and I'd suggest posting more on the subject if you get any additional advice! Not many girls reject diets for healthy eating and that's definitely a right way to go. Thanks and keep it up!

  • I think you are one of the very few who actually knows, and makes sense of how to be truly healthy/happy with yourself. I have been noticing the older I get the harder it is to keep weight off, but thanks to you this video has shown that it's all just a matter of lifestyle and small changes to what you eat when you eat :) - nothing drastic! x

  • Oh, btw, forgot to mention my actual weight loss, I went from being 93kg to 75kg in just 4 weeks! But at that time I was swimming every day. I am not sure if it's even healthy to lose weight as quickly as I did. Anyway, I can definitely recommend swimming! I tried running before but because of my weight at that time I got shinsplints which is not something I can recommend! Swimming is safe and effective=)

  • When I was around 20 I learned the hard way that my teenager metabulism was no more. But I decided one day that it was time to get rid of it all. I bought high fibre cereal (kellogs allbran without added sugar) and I ate that in the morning and at night before I went to bed. And I drank a lot of white tea (bare in mind, its VERY expensive) which speeds up your metabulism. But I guess what really did it for me was that I started swimming regularly 4-5 times a week =) Start exercising good folks!

  • i cant do something outdoors so what shall i do to be active i go to the gym but other then that im always sitting and just 3-4 days a week and i always crave cookies i can not skip a day without eating one ps. im not fat im 152cm and 51kg but i need to lose some :P so plz reply

    I have some problems with my defecate system.. For normal person i assumed it has to be done at least once for a day,, but for me *its freak* i can to not defecate for 1 week.. Do you ever heard if this problem can make someone's tummy big too?

  • @GEAJesikaChandra not to be weird...or overly personal haha I would talk to your doctor about IBS/Spastic colon. Im a lot like that too, with it being 8+ days at times. And Yes it does make you very bloated when it gets bad. Unfortunately theres no real cure :/ only things you can do and eat to help make it a bit better

  • @GEAJesikaChandra I admire you being open about what as Mszchu indicated might be IBS. IBS goes both ways and I have the opposite problem. I'd rather it be that i'm constepated, but sometimes I can't stop going, and it doesn't matter what I eat. Oddly I don't lose any weight as one would think.

  • @GEAJesikaChandra The best way is to eat foods high in fiber, you should definitely try it before you go to the doctor and get medicine which is artificial and makes your organism get used to too much. You can find it in fruit, more in vegetables and a lot in WHOLEGRAIN food like bread, rice, pasta, buckwheat and other groats and most important: oat bran which you can add to your oatmeal (also very good) if you wouldn't eat them alone. Eat such foods 2-5 times a day. MUST work!

  • I honestly believe i did everything you said not to do, minus the part about alcohol. Sleep, i will i could sleep 8hrs a day, but I have to go to work :( I only sleep about 4 hours average a week.

  • I dont weigh my self often. I weighed myself in June of 2011 and it was at 246 and then i weighed myself in Sep/Oct and it was at 226 ish. I think this is better for mental motivation bacuse time/life goes buy and you just do your thing; be healthy and it's a great booster to know that it works. I only went to the scale because I noticed that I looked different. My neck looked longer, My face smaller. I don't know the back of my own hand anymore.Seriously im alway looking at it. XP

  • My teacher says its the worst to starve or diet as our body has a way to sense that we are not giving it the adequate amount to nutrients, thus they store whatever little amount of food we eat and they actually become fats.

  • @mssunnify223 The body will store the fat that is in the food, it does that allways. If you however go into starvation mode, the body gets 20% more efficient in storing these things. Bad if you want to loose weight, the body will now store fat. Secondary, if you starve yourself all kind of things will happen in your body and your energy levels will drop. It is better to cut the bad sources of energy and eat good wholefood carbs, low fat, low protein (80/10/10) and exercise :)

  • I don't like drinking water either , but instead of your "drink-tea-instead-method" i put a little bit of lemon/lime juice (always from fresh lemons/limes that i buy in any ordinary grocary store) into the water so it won't have that "watery" taste and It works great for me :)

  • So like... for me, I tend to eat non stop... like continuously and recently i've decided to cut back on what I eat and just try to eat healthy and control what I consume. But the weird thing is.. after I started eating less, i gained weight even after trying for quite a while. It wasn't like a temporary, eat less thing, I actually stuck with it for a few weeks.So I decided to go back to eating a lot and I got skinnier. Like.... I gained weight.... but I look thinner. Is there something wrong? XD

  • This one's easy. Eat more LESS calories food. It'll trick your eyes into thinking it's a lot and make you full.

  • I don't weigh myself to determine whether I'm fat or not or if I'm at a goal weight. I use it as a motivation. Since dieting can be a very slow process, it becomes kind of a drag to sit around and wait for results to show. I use the scale's dropping numbers to give me a sense of hope or reassurance that what I'm doing is working. I don't stress when I gaine a pound or two since I interpret it as muscle gain or just normal weight fluctuation and shrug it off. It can help if used correctly :)

  • i dont know why i didnt realize that starving and dieting wont help with losing weight. i mean i knew it before i saw your video, but i am 18 now and this idea just came to me 3 months ago.

    i had so many times were i just ate 1500kcal a day or told myself not to eat any sweets. how stupid is that? i mean its logical that you cannot stop eating sweets for 4 weeks and lose 10lbs and than going back to normal and keep that new weight. yeah just wanted to say think about what youre doing, people :)

  • I really love that you made a video enforcing that fitness should be fun. I completely agree! Bike riding, hiking, sports, dancing... even crossfit and stuff can be made to be really fun. You can workout using a trampoline! You can workout in a childrens' JUNGLE GYM!

    If your "workout" is boring and feels like a chore to you, you won't stick to it. So why not find something you like?

  • Thank you for mentioning all the bad side effects that come with anorexia and bulimia. There are many many girls that think losing weight this weight will make them happy or get more attention from guys. But they don't think about the side effects. They may look thin, but who wants to be thin with no teeth and bad skin that comes from not eating. Not cute.

  • @PeacexLBiebz try grabbing a exercise buddy. :) they can push you to get movin. Once you start moving and getting into the habit it gets alot easier. And I think once you start exersising It inspires to eat better. :D

I've changed my way of eating just as you suggested and it REALLY has helped me. I been eating like this for months now. Why am I losing dress sizes but not really pant sizes???   • how many hours of sleep is recommended? does it change with everyone? i find that if i sleep too long i feel crappy and lazy but if i sleep a bit less i'm fine, but then obviously if you have too little sleep you feel tired.

  • I started a diet in April, and I am down 40 lbs but I kinda plateaued. 1 because my work schedule changed and I was working overnight and didnt get up to eat breakfast but I snacked all night :( I havent gained any weight back...But is there a good breakfast food to eat besides grapefruit (im allergic) that is good?   • @salimp01 If youre drinking tea to lose weight and not doing anything else, nope. not at all. Green tea is said to have metabolism boosting effects, but its not like youre going to get some dramatic (or even measurable) weight loss from drinking tea.

  • i once had bulemia and anorexia mixed and believe me it's not funny. cramps in your stomach and bad teeth, bad smelling mouth etc...and always this sadness and depressions. starving doesn't make happy!!!

    What she tells you guys about is absolutely the correct way! you also don't have to be super skinny to look good. be healthy

    also your aura adds a lot to a persons beauty. what makes you a beauty is that you feel good and comfortable in your own body!!!

    How do you get motivated to exercise when you live in a small villiage that has no Gym, and you're an hour away from the closet Gym? I'm 14 and a half and I've been a bit over weight for years and I just want to be skinny again. Beth x

  • if you're looking fora good substitute for soda get a jumbo size pitcher of cranberry juce then add one part cranberry juice to two parts perrier. It works for me it fools me into thinking im drinking soda but its so much more healthy :P

  • I agree with this video, specially the part were you talk about the breakfast! it's the most important meal of the day and you shouldn't skip it.. and it's important to always have at least 3 meals a day.. :) and the alcohol.. most people don't even know about it.. but it makes you gain sooooooo much wait. i'm naturally skinny and almost always 55kg (1,72cm) and I don't gain weight easily but it's not just the weight, you have to be careful of.. it's high blood pressure and the colestherol etc.

  • @tekken6freak no. standing up burns more calories than laying down.

  • is there such thing as negitive calories? like celery, etc.

  • @TheChristypie of course not. negative calories are just a myth. people think that if something has barely any calories, you'll burn more calories eating it. that's not true. just don't be afraid to eat things like celery. they're good for you and have very low cal anyway.

  • Oh yeah and i don't think weighing myself like every week is good because i know the weightloss isn't significant so i weigh myself like every 2-3 weeks and even when i lose like 1 or 2kg, i feel so happy because the reality of becoming skinny is actually closer than i thought. I need to lose 7-10kg more to get to my goal weight.

  • I know right! Someone i know starves and i'm like DON'T STARVE IT DOESN'T WORK! But they're like DUH IT WILL WORK IM NOT EVEN EATING! And i'm like jeez are you going to starve yourself for the rest of your life or just starve for a month and gain 10 kilos after? Thanks for this video! It really helped me. What i do is keep myself full all the time. I just eat cornflakes, Special K or some fruit like grapes and mandarin. Might not be the healthiest option but i've lost 2kilos in a month! Lol
