  • @timaeus22222 I'm sorry I don't understand what you're asking?

  • WOW great tones do you know where i can find a list with the presets and there corresponding real song?

    thank you

  • @timaeus22222 erm yes that's the whole point of an amp sim

  • @guitarnoize I thought the point was to simulate an amp AND be a portable amp, not be just a portable amp. >.>

  • I wondered why the sound was so epic. You're playing a real guitar. T.T

  • thanks, it helped me dial in what levels I should be using. I can't play as well, but once I got the levels right, the tone was the same.

  • man, that Yngwie patch was spot-on!

  • Dude, what's the song you start to play at 1:37, it's damn amaising... Please respond to me. Cheers, mate. :)

  • @minimalhuligan Where The Streets Have No Name - U2 (kind of...)

  • its awesome, but one thing... how the hell can i plug my guitar into my pc?

  • That all sounds amazing. great job.

  • whisch sound card ur using :SS

  • Should'nt the one vision riff be played with flanger? Or phaser? Along with drive and delay?

  • fuck u can play mate!

  • what interface are you using?

  • my presets are gone missing how can i find them

    (ALLL THE PRESESTS ) ! !! ! !

  • hey, why wont guitar rig 4 load as Vst? im using cubase 5 as my sequencer, when i install guitar rig it even had the wrong path to install vst. all of my vst are C:/programfiles/Vstplguins, so obvisouly i did put guitar rig in that path. but why in cubase does not load as vst? it doesnt appear as vst. its just not their.

  • How do you upload presets?! Mine don't appear in the GR4 Mix

  • @rockandrollloud

    yngwie malmsteen - evil eye

  • Is the sound really THAT bad? :O

  • i wanna play like you motherfucker

  • why does mine have so much noise and it sucks to use noise removal and gate -_____--

  • @Mastahboys high output pickups, and it doesn't suck to use a gate it helps a lot.

  • What Audio Interface that use thai clip ?

  • when you run this through an amp, is it possible to get real feedback??

  • whenever I leave my gate on 9 o clock like you have here I get a ton of noise in between notes etc, but you don't seem to get that....what am I doing wrong, and is it a problem tone wise to turn the noise gate all the way down?

  • does this software work with the line 6 fbv foot controllers?

  • The U2 setting needs more delay.

  • Do you know how to make midi sound like that? I use sonar and is instaled like vst not vsti. Thanks

  • which song are you playing at 2:20?

  • I've got a question. How big is the influence of the guitar itself on the sound? What's the difference between using guitar rig 4 with a cheap ibanez for example, and an expensive one that sounds heavy?

  • guitar rig can do SOMETHING to the sound of a classical guitar ?just curious!!!!!!!!!

  • haha that was some sick yngwie malmsteen

  • >NOOO WAYYY!!! Black star is so fucking sick!!! Ok i got a question it may sounds stupid but im new with this. I have a windows 7 laptop, can i run guitar rig in torrent and what do i need? What is the stuff i need to plug my guitar into my laptop and run guitar rig 4

  • very powerfull

  • I HEAR FUCKING ZEPPELIN & EDDIE! :D

  • dsg

  • Hi. I tried Guitar rig 4 with ASIO4all. I was worried that when I started it and chose ASIO4all, I would not hear anything, and I was correct. Tell me. If I just plug my guitar into my laptop and can see it giving off sounds, how complicated will it be for me to actually hear the sound from my laptop speakers? Is it like 10 hours of work to understand, or 1 week? OR SHOULD I be able to hear it?

  • @BelRiose2000 No its not even one hour of work...just get the asio driver and use the asio setting in guitar rig---I'm using m audio fast track pro and there are no problems at all....very easy...I was also worried with all the negative comments ab´bout fast track, asio, etc etc,...but it all worked fine...usb connected...just plug your spoeaker wire into the headphones socket of the audio interface (m audio) i can put it through the speakers or to my amp ir headphones....worked easily for me...

  • what kind of output do you use to listen to something? when I'm using it with my interface I can't get a single sound out through my pc speakers or my amp, and I also tried with headphones

  • @cochi256 Are you plugging your headphones into your interface? Do you have your PC sound output set to use your interface?

  • @guitarnoize don't worry I solved it :) for some reason the sound started to come out through my amp, probably I solved it by doing something but I don't know xD

however I get a lot of noise coming out, is it because of my interface? or the slowness of my pc? also the rig doesn't sound at the time when I play, it has some delay time of fraction of seconds

  • @cochi256 the delay is called Latency and you should be able to change the amount in your either Guitar Rig preferences -> Audio -> Latency in the stand alone version or using your audio settings in your DAW for recording.

  • @cochi256 Yeah, if you're using pro tools, trying setting your Hardware Buffer lower under Playback engine. 512 should do it, but the lower the better. I don't about the nomenclature for Logic and stuff, but it should be something similar.

  • @cochi256 try getting, if you don't already have it, is the Asio4All sound drivers. That would kill the delay and produce kick-ass sound. You can get them free at .asio4all.com

Once you have the drivers downloaded and installed, open up Guitar Rig and click on File (upper left) then click on Audio and Midi settings, and under 'driver', toggle ASIO and you should be good to go. You'll need to restart guitar rig after the change for it to take effect.

    Good luck!

  • @BigRobM thanks, but I already have the asio4all driver, it's really good :)

  • What interface are you using? I know I need one :( I have Dimarzio pups and it sounds.. bad

  • @feenux09 A cheapo Tapco yeah you need an interface it's not your pickups

  • @guitarnoize is it the tapco fw? amazing how well it works despite the low price!

  • @feenux09 Would you need an interface if you got the kontrol version?

  • I was about to ask the same thing. I personally think Guitar Rig 4 is a piece of trash. I've been using it for a year now and still haven't found a way to get rid of the stupid white noise without affecting other sound parameters.

    see here at 2:54

I get that damn white noise that can be heard at the beginning all the time, except for several bass presets. so it's not the computer, it's not the guitar. it's that damn software

  • @ahm3s What audio interface are you using? As you can see I prove quite well here with a cheap interface that it isn't trash

  • @guitarnoize I'm only using the ASIO driver. It sounds like crap. all presets sound alike.

  • How on earth do you get that sound ?!?! I have Guitar Rig 4 and have no idea how to get good sounds. The presets that come with sound like garbage. Im thinking it has to do with the interface or something ?

  • 1:35 that delay is awesome

  • Well first off omfg nice sounds and playing m8, very impressed. i wanna get this thing but the sound card speakys made me paranoid as hell now lol.

Will the creative xfi fix it if it sounds crap?

  • @lantyboy sorry I have no idea try asking on the GR4 forums someone there should be able to help

  • @guitarnoize sorted lol it was me being a tard, the controller is the sound card but i nvr new :P

  • You know what this sounds great, as good f not better than my POD X3.....hmmmmmmm

  • how do i get to use Guitar rig 4 as a VST plugin in Albeton live 7...it shows up in the VST folder on the side and i can bring it up but it dont get any sound coming from it... as standalone it works fine but not in Albeton live

  • i heard black star.

  • This is a fantastic review! Your playing is just amazing, as the sound is. I bought a quite descent soundcard (Focusrite Saffire 14 pro), but i'm unable to get amazing sounds like this from my GR4. My settings are like it should be, i have instrument (not line) settings on (more gain), all is like it should to be. But my sound is more quiet and with less treble than yours. I just don't get whats the problem is :( I used the same patches of course.

  • @voltaspeeder17 Different guitars, different pickups? Same as a real amp no two guitars will have the sane setup just tweak to taste. Try adjusting your input volume in GR too

  • @guitarnoize - We tried it with lots of different guitars and it's almost the same. The sounds are a bit different, but lack of clearity and definition can be heard by a mile. Your sound isn't only better in what i said before, but it's also louder. Did you left all settings untouched? The only thing it could be i the cable now. But i have quite good Proel's cabel, i think it should be ok. Thanks for your answer man, i aprecciate it! ;)

  • @voltaspeeder17 Maybe it's my audio interface? Although it's a fairly cheap one by Tapco?

  • @guitarnoize - I learned what the problem was/is. It's definately a guitar or i'd better say pickups (with better cable it would be even better), I just had to use different combination of pickups, adjust gain level on my soundcard and i get very close now. Just one more question. Did you boost your volume in Ableton? It's louder than my presets in GR.

  • @voltaspeeder17 get tc electronic twin impact external soundcard and you will have a good sound or if you low at money buy line6 ux2

  • @voltaspeeder17 yeah, more gain and you should be good..

  • Hey I'm shit with computers. can you just Downlad GR4 and use it independantly or do you need to use it with another

    Program such as cubase,

  • @ChainsawVsGod Yes it runs either as standalone or a plugin

  • @guitarnoize I tried connecting my guitar straight to my pc onboard sound card and i got alot of background noise and it sounded like garbage is my sound card crap? is trhe cable crap? or what

  • @ShadowOfDeth1 Get an audio interface you won't regret it

  • How is this with copyright laws...if you made a song and someone wanted to make a contract with you...or you wanted to sell the songs how they were recorded...would this be against copyright laws...

  • Great sounds, never buying a guitar amp again

  • I dont know why dont you use the whole lotta love preset for the first song

  • Have you guys seen the new StudioBLADE keyboard workstation? It's perfect for playing all of your VSTs live or in the studio!

  • yo yo yo yo i need help today i brought an audio interface but GRRR when i run guitar rig it sounds like shit theres no latency but it sounds like SHIT! i don't know what to do please help and its a good audio usb interface

  • @MrDohmah sorry not sure why it sounds like shit for you, maybe try the NI forums?

  • @guitarnoize i have a feeling that im still getting the sound from my computer's built in sound-card.. grr its really fucking pissing me off.

  • @MrDohmah that could well be the problem, on a mac I have to go into the system settings -> audio -> output and select my interface as the output device if that helps?

  • @guitarnoize mmm i have done that but i still get a bad sound. my speakers are connected to the rear input and my M-audio fast track audio interface is connected to the usb port. on the control panel for sound playback im using fast track out 1/2 and for sound recording im using the same thing however when i use these options my computer sound doesn't work. if every thing is properly connected am i supose to hear my guitar through my speakers?? please help

  • Hello!

    I have a question..

If i buy Guitar Rig 4 Kontrol Edition AND Amplitube, can i then use the pedal to control the Amps/Effects in Amplitube?

  • @Odinsgade no idea, it is just a MIDI controller though I think so maybe?

  • @guitarnoize

    Okay. Thanks

  • guitar rig 4 recognize the my guitar(in and out bars move) but doesnt reproduce it, there is no sound. can someone help me?

  • What's the name of the last song?

  • @Qbyk95 they are all listed in the more info panel

  • @guitarnoize Oh.... :D Thanks :)

  • @Qbyk95 message in a bottle by the Police ;-)

  • cheers for the demo bro!

  • Can you use guitar rig with pro tools? and a M box?

  • @rc49ers53 yes

  • if i get one of those deals that plugs a guitar into the computer can i use on this

  • 2 04 sounded like hells on its knees solo lick thingy

  • First i have to say that this video is trully amazing, i love your playing man! I have a question for you. Thanks for the answer in advance!

How can you play without any lag? I have good audio interface with preamp which suposed to be lagless, but when i'm playing through my computer speakers, you can hear that the sound is a bit late (in drivers says 4ms). I can live with that, but folks which record by me are really annoyed by it. Can i fix this?

  • @voltaspeeder17 sorry for the late reply, I have my latency set to around 8ms and monitor it through my interface headphones it's hardly noticeable. 4ms is about the same latency you get standing a few feet in front of an amp apparently.

  • Can I use Guitar Rig for FL Studio?

  • ZZ TOP!!! :D

  • Hey, nice video! I just bought the Line 6 Pod Studio UX1, but the sounds from the Pod Farm Plug in aren't great. If I bought Guitar Rig Pro 4, would I be able to use my UX1 as the recording device, obtaining the sounds from Guitar Rig 4 & then record in Ableton Live? :)

  • @scissorbutterfly No probs, you can either get it from Native Instruments or try torrent sites. I believe it comes with Komplete 7.

  • @scissorbutterfly get the Rammfire add on

  • What song at 2:15 ?

  • @RydENh34d Evil eye from Alcatrazz ( Malmsteen's band )

  • can you tell me how to connect my guitar to this program? not like I have an electric guitar, just to know for later when I get it...xD

  • I get a very annoying hum when I run Guitar Rig, is this caused by my soundcard? anyone else have this problem?

    Thanks

    Spence

  • @spenceguitarguy probably, you might want to invest in an audio interface

  • @guitarnoize thanks for the tip

  • @guitarnoize or u can get the guitar rig mobile interface.

  • @spenceguitarguy it could be, I use a proper audio interface and I used to have this squeal when i wasnt playing but this can ber erasen by setting the imput to something low, I have mine in the minimum

  • are those preset yours or you get them with program?

  • @FleshMob those are the default preset set that come pre-loaded

  • Can any guitar work on this program? Thinking of getting it but my electric guitar is just a cheap local one. I'm not gonna buy a new one until I'm sure I really want to be serious in playing the guitar.

  • @oOC1KnightOo Yes absolutely! It's a great way to learn about amps too so you have more idea what style of amp you like

  • @guitarnoize I Have a question buddy : i wanna use guitar rig 4 on stage for the show in my school i got on next monday. The problem is i don t know what kind of amp i should use : we have a behringer keyboard amp but it s not working well (fucking annoying noise when i turn the master button) and i can t connect the rig kontrol 3 through the PA system we also got. All that stuff bothers me but i really wanna get a slash tone live lol

  • @menetjegy not 0 latency, about 250ms

  • Very nice :D can i ask a very noobish question? I am trying to use guitar rig 4 and was just wondering what kind of equipment i need.. .ive tried taking a cable from my amp to the mic input of my pc but guitar rig doesnt pick it up. do i need some kind of interface?

  • great Steve Vai sound ;)) !!

  • Hey, Can anyone help me with a problem with the presets.

When I startup Guitar Rig I see the same presets like you have for a couple seconds. Then it's loading some other preset in this order: Guitar Amps, Styles , Effects , Order

The actual presets are on my computer but it keeps reloading with the ones which are useless. Can any1 help me plz, it's really frustrating, Trying to figure it out a couple of hours but got no sulution yet :(

  • shit sound....

  • when i was using guitar rig 3 it sounded nothing like this, ill try 4 soon

  • @brad3378 sounds like one vision by queen :)

  • Does anybody know what the name of the song is at 2:35 ? To me it sounds like a Van Halen sound, but I don't think it's really Van Halen. This is driving me crazy trying to guess!

  • how do I do if ASIO file is not there? xD

  • Anyone know how Guitar Rig compares to Amplitube?

  • @Designedbydeath Amplitube 3 wins. It sounds so real that CJ of Drowning Pool can't tell the different.

  • which audio interface do you use???

  • @SergioWW1WW2 I've got a fairly cheap Tapco Firewire interface

  • @guitarnoize and you've got 0 latency?

  • wowww ausome tones.I have the guitar rig software but i dont have the rig control!I have another sound card M audio. Can i get the same result?????

  • wow ur sound is so clean

i dont kno wats wrong wit mind

    its full of shhhshhhhshhhh sound

i can barely hear my guitar...

  • what does the sound come out of? headphones or monitors or will normal satalite speakers be ok?? thx

  • amazing this program can be a lot easier way of getting inspiration and new sounds

    brilliant\m/

  • Is it possible to record a track with the demo version of Guitar Rig?

    By the way, great playing.

  • GUitar rig is fun, but its not good enough for performing. Too much noise. not enough guts.

  • I play Guitar rig 4 YNGW, but at me not that tone as at you, why?

I play Guitar rig 4 YNGW, but I've got the wrong tone for you, why?

    sorry for my english

  • @TEMbl41987 diffrerent guitar, different pickups?

  • your afraid that you dont have a bass? id hate to see your reaction to a scary movie. lol

  • The free version is the demo version isnt it? im pretty sure they would copyright it to where there couldnt be a free version of guitar rig, unless its the demo.

  • holy crap you're awesome

  • Great playing ! Loved your Jimi.

  • i'm planning on buying this for my guitar, was just wonderin though whats it like with a bass guitar??

  • @shuttsworth no idea I'm afraid I don't have a bass

  • @shuttsworth It does have bass amps and presets, so yes, it'll work.

  • @LFWOL Unfortunately you need your laptop too you want something like the ElevenRack or even a Pod?

  • can i play backing tracks on it

  • @acyoungdc Yes you can it has a built in player and recorder

  • Why should I buy ?? I can get it for free !!

  • @realjuvelive You should buy because its the ethical thing to do. The only reason such a good product exists is because people pay for it.

  • @realjuvelive how for free?

  • Can I use Guitar Rig 4 with Kontrol to jam along to windows media player .MP3's while using my laptop? probably a stupid question but I couldn't get a signal in my laptop with my Tonelab LE.

  • min 2:06 what sound its?

    i have this program...

  • Can I play with it without an amp for live? Right into the mixer? Results would be acceptable?

  • @TheBelva85 definitely it has a standalone application as well as a plug-in, it was designed to be used live.

  • @guitarnoize man nice video and nice playing zep lol. Can you tell me if i made a good choice to order M-audio MKII fast audio around 100 euros. You think i ll get clear sound from 2 not expensive speakers and 1 subw thanks

  • @TheBelva85 yes you can

  • Hey, great video, do you mind messaging me the list of songs you played in this demo?

  • @BlackMoo Check out the description panel I've updated the list of presets with the songs played.

  • @guitarnoize Thank you so much, and keep up the good work!!! I'm still listening to your video on repeat.

  • What preset are you using for For The Love Of God?

I have an Ibanez Jem and i really want to try it out!!

  • @KirkTheGod God's Love

  • just amazing. makes me feel old.

  • amazing sounds, really true to the original, like the Vai one

  • does it play out loud as you are playing???

  • @judgerudge123 erm.. sorry? It's as loud as your speakers can go!

  • @guitarnoize yehh thats what i needed to know, and when i use it for soem reason i get a really high pitch continuous squeal like feedback from amps, is it a faulty connection to my guitar? or have i buggered something up? lol

  • @judgerudge123 Sounds like you are plugging in directly into the computer? You need an audio interface, I use a Tapco but there are cheaper ones like line6

  • @guitarnoize oh i did plug it directly in through the mic jack, is that why? lol, and audio interface =S can you give me an example of a line 6 one?

  • @judgerudge123 line6 have one called TonePort, NI also have one called the Guitar Rig Mobile I/O audio interface and IK Multimedia who do Amplitube have a couple, the StealthPlug and the Stealth Pedal

  • @judgerudge123 When I bought my liine6 audio interface I had to buy a separate card with USB ports for the computer because the computers integrated ports made this insane static noise. When plugging in to the new ports though it works perfect.

  • Nice demo. Can I just plug my guitar into guitar rig, and get various sound effects that way, or do I need other hardware or software to do that?

    Thanks.

  • ive only got the essentials version, hoping to upgrade soon, but the sounds this does is unreal

  • i have an i mac and my sonund is not nearly this good (i don't get the gain or response in my tone) are you using speakers
