@aman803 well,all units are supposed to have an inspection every three years. That inspection determines whether you meet,exceed,or do not meet standards. they are scored on many things, and the area administrator conducting the inspection determines what this score is. the ones that meet standards are awarded distinguished unit.the ones that EXCEED standards are awarded distinguished unit WITH merit.and that's what puts us on top. Or at least that's what the Area 3 Administrator said.

Question; You say your unit is in the top 10% of JROTC units around the country...how um do they go about determining that?
