Ok well. My video watching on youtube about cleaning and eating trout is done thanks to this video. This is all I needed to see. Thanks a lot guys! Loved it.
Nice. Thank you for showing us your dad's way of getting rid of the bones :) I will try this when I go fishing with my dad and some friends when the summer comes here in Norway ;)
WOW! Amazing job.... you have made it look very easy. I do have a question. What the heck did you say about the fly's and is it true???? Bacteria free ? I have never heard of any such thing....
I'm actually going on a 3-day fishing trip with my wife to this exact place this weekend.. last time I went with my wife, we caught 23 trout - brooks and rainbows.
Excellent video! Extremely informative and entertaining to boot. THX for sharing. BTW< how would you cook a 8lb+ steelhead or salmon in a similar way on a large skillet or just coals? THX again.
Nice vid I cook fish the same way mostly trout the tail when done cooking is like a chip I am making a vid tomorrow but I will use the jet boil check it out
WOW! Thanks a lot! For years, I've been wathing my mom cook fish when I was a kid and she taught me to take some scissors and cut off all the fins, tail, and the head. I've caught five trout and I've cleaned them myself and I see now I've been doing it long way. From now on, I'll keep the tails and maybe the heads on. I've been taking the scissors and cutting off the fins below. Don't you have to scrape the scales off also?
@dongale1352 It really only works for smaller trout. We use to do brook trout 6 to 8 inches just whole no gutting etc... just fry them up in a skillet with butter. Thye get so tender the meat just flakes off under the skin.
WOW!!! VERY AWSOME THANK YOU FOR THE TIPS AND THE RECIPES

I like how it's "back country" right next to the car.
I'm going to try this recipe tonight in the "backcountry" right next to my fridge!
I'm tempted to add hot pepper power to the shake and bake... or maybe next time.
