  • very cool.

  • without the night vision how can i tell my sidewinders ir is working? i just got it and i just can't tell?

  • @auradud3

if all of the other lights work, then the IR will be working too. if you dont have NODs then whats it matter lol? sometimes if its dark enough you can see a VERY faint red light coming from the IR bulb.

  • @unmotomarine0351 just wanting to know if the whole unit works, i would hate to find out a year from now when i do get some NODs, know what i mean lol

  • Alex the green light is actually designed for hunters, because it doesn't travel very far (like the red) and it usually wont spook and animal because at a distance it looks like the reflection of an other animals eyes

  • @xangiexwestx

    you learn something new everyday.

  • do you have the surefire helmet light

  • @InGen62

yes i do, i love it.

  • very2 useful review....always wanted to see those stuff work on NVG

  • what other kind of stuff you selling..?

  • Did you notice your Streamlight sidewinder makes a high pitched noice when the lights set to high level except the red one

  • i want to get a rifle light for my m4 cqb

  • I have a Sidewinder and am interested in all sorts of information around it.

From what I understand of green LEDs, some will have a specific wavelength that will make it *barely* visible in NVGs, because the NVG is designed to *filter away* (!) a specific wavelength of green.

Can you confirm this? (Beware of stray green light that could enter the camera directly)

Concerning the reflective stuff: maybe you should position it further away and aim at it from near the camera.

    Thanks,

    -alex-

  • my sidewinder does not have green on it, it has IR, so i cannot confirm that one.

I have looked at the VIP signal light under NVG, using the green light and it looks the same as IR.

(i also dont have home access to those particular NODs anymore so i wont be able to do another NVG vid for you)

Yeah, the IR reflectors are harder to catch on camera since they are designed to be seen far away with the IR beam shining directly into it.

  • you are cool, subscribed

  • haha thanks man!
