  • @laurensDG watched your channel then ROLFED .

  • @AnvikThe because?

  • You are awesome!!! What are you waiting for the cd? :D

  • I like it I think it's chill Djent It's a good take on it Idk if all their stuff is like this but I like this track alot. but Djent always sounds too.. metallic to me. Metallic meaning the sound of his guitar.

  • @laurensDG i know it doesnt even have shredding guitars but its alright to listen to the feeling of a song regardless music doesnt have to be ultra complicated to be music just relax dude if you can make better songs make them quit turning down other people that just looks bad.

  • @AnvikThe why do people keep saying i need to relax? i am completely relaxed im just giving my opinion. And besides that, djent is a style which requires advanced musical knowledge and years of experience with polyrhythms, polymeters and deviant measures. it's not a type of sound (the sound you hear in this abominable vid) but a simple name given to a complex and advanced musicstyle which actually can hardly be described in one word.

  • ehhh its like half-assed djent

  • @snop6176 Just incorporates more ambience. That's all.

  • @TheChronicCynic FUCK YOU

  • @zarkarta YEA!

  • @zarkarta Lolno.

  • @TheChronicCynic i am completely with you man... this new crap is bullshit

  • Comment removed

  • @TheChronicCynic The ultimate troll >:D

  • @TheChronicCynic Ummmm, what's so bad about it???? And no one cares about your opinion. It will not change anything, so it is best to keep your mouth shut. There, I said it.

  • @wyattking6 It's not unique anymore, it's strumming and chugging to one damn note to a fairly simple time signature, this song and countless other "Djent" songs being what I'm refferring to. This type of concept works well for a song or two, but it's a simple song concept that has formed an entire genre. These people need to try other things. Also, I won't keep my mouth shut just because some stranger on the internet tells me to do so, and yes I was half-kidding when I made my last statement.

  • @wyattking6 And no-one cares about your opinion either.

  • Needs moar clipping!

  • "Djent" is the stupidest word and im sick of it but I love this music.

  • im sorry but this was incredibly dull

  • this needs morre electronic influence.... to be called djent

i kinda agree with laurens alittle but less harshly lol

  • Fuck what everyone says. I like this shit too much.

  • lol this is just terrible. you put 'djent' in the name and all of a sudden it's superduper cool while it's just the same measure with someone else's art for 2.5 min long. for once in my life i thought people would stop taking music for granted when djent came along with bands like aal and contortionist but now this pretentious shit comes along which doesn't even earn to be called djent. you guys just better quit this crap.

  • @laurensDG People don't call their music djent to make it 'cool.' They call it djent because that's the style of music..

    Fail..

  • @ArtificialFlavaFTB2 yes they did, this is not djent. go listen to contortionist or substructure or circle of contempt. that's djent, this is just some metal breakdown with in the end a few 7chords. that's not djent, and just because the guitar sounds a bit djentlike and the song has djent in its name, all of a sudden it's djent instead of metal.

  • @laurensDG Calm down... It's still a very new concept, so I think there should be room to experiment with it. Isn't that how music evolves?

  • @ArizzleProductions calm down? i'm completely relaxed -.-

i fully understand experimenting with music and different genres but this is just pleasing 2 kinds of audience, which is kind of hypocrite and pretentious imo

  • Love this.

  • heavy as fuck

  • Awesome Djent stuff :)

  • !!!! This world needs a sounds like this F@ck YEAH

  • anyone else think this sounds a lot like edge of the earth by volumes?

  • 1:39 Best part...

  • so intense deep djenty guitar tone just wow

  • I love the artwork

  • @Murdertrain007 yeah looks like a 3y old kid did it with "paint"... -.-

  • @Joha1985 If its so easy then that, show us your talent then :)

  • @Joha1985 damn good at paint then heh

  • i nod my head djently

  • @xxxdisasterx1 yes!

  • man these elephants have a real big one. look at this!

  • Eh. Kinda simple. Didnt rly catch my attention.

  • so the only thing they can do on guitar is play open and closed notes.. and you call this "djent" shit awesome? WRONG

  • @S0uRxCHAMPAGNE For a critic, your music terminology is seriously lacking. Within the context of your comment 'open and closed notes', as opposed to...? There are many genres of music out there, thousands within the 'Metal' umbrella itself. How about you find one you like and post on those threads, instead of sounding like a dumb-ass to those in the know. Music appreciation is all psychological. And preference is merely opinion, which is what we have here. If you want Yngwie, go search Yngwie.

  • @SirRoachtokeMacPuff I am currently minoring in psychology, neuroscience and behavior and I have studied music cognition. Your argument deviates entirely from what I was inferring. There is obviously more than open and closed notes. It infuriates me that a group of like-minded individuals categorize a genre to satisfy this grandiose djent fancy, then create songs that repeatedly highlight one aspect of songs bands like ATB play in complex features like "God of Infinity Pi" that are natural.

  • @S0uRxCHAMPAGNE Well I'm certainly glad you have the credentials to back up your smack talking. So, with a background or at least an understanding of music and cognitive neuroscience, you know what draws people to music. And music not need be technical or of any specific quality to be appealing from one person to the other. You would know that environmental, cultural and plethora of other factors contribute to a persons preference in music. And if this preference be a streamlined extraction :p

  • @SirRoachtokeMacPuff You're good sir! I'm glad this didn't turn into a troll war. In fact, I have taken something positive out of this. I am only a first year so yes I am learning. I didn't quite think of streamlined extraction. What do you think in terms of "the Big 5" this music applies to? Someone scoring high on openness and low on neuroticism? and how it reflects ones political views?

  • The myriad of sub-genres irritates me as well. Though, necessary sometimes, as this 'djent' thing has really taken off almost over night. People who are drawn to this music, would like quick access to similar sounding music. Are you saying that it's pretentious to categorize music? I listen to a lot more than 'djent' or even metal. Categorizing music merely makes it easier when communicating a point to someone without an audio reference. Cheers.

  • @SirRoachtokeMacPuff Please dont grammar Nazi me if I make errors. Typical troll like thing I'd expect after that heuristic you stuck on me without knowing my background. I'm not one to pass judgements I am sure you know your stuff. Yes my first comment looks like that of a 15 year old and for that I apologize, I'm sure I was intoxicated.

  • There are no words fit to describe this beautiful, melodic, djenty, and satisfactory song, if they do not upload anymore songs I shall be forced to masturbate to this daily until they do upload a new one.

  • I remember when I heard this song when it was on 330 views. This artist is flying! I knew this artist was going to be huge and will get bigger!

  • Do the have a facebook page??

  • There's just something about djent that puts me in such a clear state of mind.......this song is awesome:)

  • @CodyOfTheWarzone it's the paradox of it all that makes sense and is invoking to clear our heads and put us in a realm of peace :)

  • Awesome song. I enjoy the Dahli elephants :)

  • @cunjoz LMAO epic XD

  • what i dont get about these types of bands is that they dont even go for heaviness what i expect is a super heavy band with that sound. fucking 8 string djent sound. but dont get me wrong this is great.

  • Those are actually elephants that Salvidor Dali painted

  • @Psychoticness11 ..precisely what I searched for :D

  • I have a new favorite song

  • @thetamadrummer. not all djent bands use triggers. just saying. FROM WHICH WE CAME doesn't. you can find them on Facebook.

  • yeah this is pretty sick.

  • i love this is this an actual band?

  • who the fuck is benny bennasi ?? ( suggestions )

  • press play for a free eargasm :]

  • MUST HAVE MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • are these drums done on the computer or is it just triggers?

  • @metaldrummer98 most djent music is with superior drummer 2.0 which is studio. and pretty much any touring band uses triggers just to get a consistent sound when playing

  • @THETamaDrummer ok cool man thanks!

  • this band brought me to heaven! god...!

  • Look at that horse!

  • is it just me or does anyone hate when they started adding "harsh" vocals to djent bands?

  • @oviefofah it's just you.

  • @oviefofah You are a moron, Djent originated with 'harsh' vocals.. check out Meshuggah you fucking poser.

  • @sasquatchops wow, youre mature. i was just stating the fact that im tired of hearing the same old screaming again and again in songs with typical chugging patterns. there is no need to call me a poser you idiot. personally, i think that instrumental music can paint a more vivid picture than a song with lyrics i can't understand. in small doses, screaming can be acceptable, but if you use it all the time, it gets pretty annoying. so shut the fuck up you stupid scene kid.

  • @sasquatchops oh and by, the way i know who the fuck meshuggah is and i really dont like them. faggot.

  • @oviefofah - Only poseurs would dismiss Meshuggah. You're a queen.

  • @Mzral That's the equivalent of saying that just because you don't like metallica your a hipster. i just don't like meshuggah, they're not my cup of tea. that doesn't mean I'm a poser. What exactly is your definition of a poser? What does that mean to you? The simple fact that I'm not conforming to the general crowd is proof enough that I am not "posing" for anyone.

  • @oviefofah While I agree with what you're saying on some points, saying you're not conforming and/or being different is something posers do -.^

  • Mach mehr D:

  • this shit is still better than fucking grindcore. i hate that shit.

  • I officially hate "djent" now. This shit's getting real old fast.

  • @davethehostage It's because it's become scene-y. Pretty much everyone wants to play "djent" and make bow bow music until they die. In a way it's almost become the new metalcore. The bands who originally started it were genuinely listenable until the genre was crowded with bandwagoners.

  • @Psyshimmer I've been comparing it to metalcore for a while now. A few decent bands started the trend, and eventually the scene wannabes watered it down as best they could by removing every sense of originality those bands displayed, and focusing solely on the cliched aspects of the genre (breakdowns and blastbeats). Woe is me.

  • whats up with all of these bands making awesome tracks and then naming them cheesy djent names? (close rant)

  • @biglu30 Seriously. Gotta like Djent, but the joke is getting pretty old.

  • If there were some voccal parts it would be awesome too *-* best music i've ever heard !

  • I can't djent no... satisfaction. ;)

  • @ChronoGXay GOD DAMNIT I CLICKED ON THIS VIDEO TO MAKE THAT EXACT PUN YOU DID

  • @paintsplatta99 - ;-) Great minds, great minds...

  • So goooood:)

  • I can't get no djentisfaction..

  • The elephants are from "Les Elephants" by Salvador Dali, in case anyone was wondering.

  • I think Djen is getting me back into metal... :D

  • absolutely forgettable instrumental bedroom djent.

  • Djentle satisfaction...

  • 1:04 Plopphoploppho-plopphoploppho

  • I think this is just one guy who writes and records the songs. Hes from germany I think

  • hey, listen to HATEURE, just type "Hateure- Synthetic test mix" , you won't be disappointed. :)

  • does anybody know what they tune to?

  • @cunjoz Then you may like djent band: Cloudkiller

  • @q0w1e2r3t4y5 It's actually called Cloudkicker.

  • @straightedgealexxx oh crap..yeah. i've just got into the genre and i'm currently in a discovery phase, listening to half a dozen bands per day. 4give me plz :D

  • the elephants on the sides are from salvador dali... good song :)

  • 0:00-2:39 best part

  • @SSZero88 HAHAHAHAI T@S FUNNY BECAUS THA IS THE HOLE SONG NOT JUST A PART OF IT LOLOL :) :) XOX

  • DJENT DJENT DJENT!!!

  • 2 people aren't satisfied with djent.

  • @mikeshinoda943 apparently 3 now

  • I'm going to sound like a fucking idiot here, but what the hell is djent? It's epic as hell.

  • @DJZmusicproductions basically metal with a seven or eight string guitar, makin use of those lower strings. djent also tends to have weird time signatures and things of that nature (i.e Meshuggah)

  • @neilorourke71 not to start an argument, just a correction, while typically most djent bands use a 7 or 8 string guitar, there are a few good ones that use 6 strings... and meshuggah has even said it themselves that they normally play in 4/4 time signature, only they chop their patterns and poly rhythms up and it makes it seem like its in superhuman time sigs.

  • @neilorourke71 Now lets not forget one pioneer in Djent...Cloudkicker.

    He uses a 6-string in Drop-B tuning...That's hardly considered de-tuning now.

Djent isn't about the tuning or the use of strings, it's about the sound and attitude as a whole.

However, whatever it is it's awesome and epic and we love it! :-)

  • @KongoXIIV ya cloudkicker is a fuckin genius. hes needs to come out with more shit

  • @DJZmusicproductions neilorourke is right but djent is also a type of music where it is like jazz beats (not blues) and metal or post-hardcore breakdowns. all instrumental. it actually sounds very nice. haha.

  • @Burton910h djent is NOT all instrumental. you must not listen to very many djent bands

  • @XchasingthedragonX ok dick

  • @Burton910h i wasnt being a dick, i was just making you aware. lol..

  • @DJZmusicproductions ok, first off i dont really agree with either or your two responders. so i'll give you my answer. djent is one of the newest subgenres of metal, ive heard it also been called progressive death core. from what ive seen there are two types, djent, and ambidjent (ambient djent). djent usually entails very low tuning, i.e. drop G, weird chugging patterns, technically demanding parts on drums and guitars, percussive guitar playing, and when it has vocals, theyre usually guttural.

  • @DJZmusicproductions (continued) however, theyre not always guttural vocals, for example, Periphery. to get a good taste of what Djent is like, check out "Regenerate" - Born of Osiris (only their new album The Discovery is Djent, their old stuff is technical metal) ... "Departure" Structures... "Icarus Lives" Periphery... "Celestial" Hydrodjent... "Dysphoria" Cloudkicker... "CAFO" Animals as Leaders... enjoy.

  • @XchasingthedragonX Wow, I have those songs (minus the Periphery) and I never knew what it was technically classified as. I am absolutely in love with the new Born of Osiris album, But I'm on my way to check out those Periphery songs now, thanks man!

  • @DJZmusicproductions awesome man, glad i could help! and same, the new Born of Osiris album is one of my favorites of all time.

  • Can someone tell me where I can get more of this band? This is the only song I've ever heard by them. But I'm in love. Haha! PPLLEEEEAAASSSEEEE HELP.

  • i dont really like djenty music but the song is still ba.

  • :)

  • One of the sickest jams, EVER.

  • Echt hammer Zeug! Welches Tuning & welches Equipment spielst du?

  • this doesn't need vocals.

  • I can see that there are 2 people that are not djentlmen that sucks because this is an awesome track, always good to hear some great djent

  • i really.. wanna do vocals for this song sooo bad too many ideas float through my head when i hear this

  • @hightension01

Why not man? Just grab a microphone and sing your parts through garageband. All you need are a few adaptors from radioshack. It won't be AMAZING quality, but it will be good. Message me if you need help.

  • @ianguitarist4

    i have a interface.. i use a Fastrack pro

and i have a decent mic, and garageband? Eww its all about reaper lol

i just want permission to do it

  • @hightension01

I gotcha man. Sorry. I wasn't sure what your question was asking. Still though, surely it wouldn't matter as long as you directly attributed credit to the author.

The garageband set up I use is about as barebones as anyone can get. I was just suggesting an easy, quick set up.

Good set up though. I'll keep my eye open for your future cover.

  • got-djent is the best website to download djent. you have the option to donate as much as you want (including $0) for the downloads, and they have, to my knowledge, the largest selection of djent bands.

    i fucking love music :)

  • I'm confused. Is there 2 Monarchist?

  • those be some fucked up looking elephants

  • @keixoun Nah man theyre my elephants.

  • @iloveheavymetal1 They're Dali Elephants(as in they were made up by Salvador Dali).Awesome, aren't they?
