  • The name of this tune is Little Lawrence, originally recorded by Jelly Roll Morton.

  • poutitechatte: Thank you very much for the answer! I have visited your channel and it's wonderful!

  • I must do justice to my brother(cdomaison on YT)who has given to me the right information ;-)You can visit his channel as well. Thanks for subscibing to mine.

  • poutititechatte: Je vous en remercie. Are you going to be putting up some very early Charles Trenet and Stephane Grappelli with Django Rhinehart anytime soon?

  • At your request,I've included a delicious piece of Hot Club de France with Django and Grapelly in my channel.

  • poutitechelle: I'll hane a look. Thank you!

  • SMASHING!

    I LOVE IT!

I want to go there and dance. Is it in Britain or the US? What a great concept.

Bob, thank you so much for sharing!

  • Muy bueno!!!

    Gracias Bod.

  • great fun! I love this music. I got a His Master's Voice gramophone for my birthday and am planning a video staring it!

  • Oh, wow! You mean one of those antiques with the big horn? I've wanted one of those all my life. Unfortunately, even if I could find one now, it would never fit in our small house.

  • Good to see you posting again Bob! I enjoyed the tune.

As for the video quality, don't worry about it...it's more YouTube than you, they're making everybody's videos look poor now.

  • Blitzwing00: I have more in the pipeline today. I'm delighted that you checked in!

  • tdub1941: Is there a prize for most videos on Youtube? I don't follow the stats for "most watched", or "most favorited", but many Youtubers brag about their status.

I like to think I have a definitive record collection from that era, but I'm pretty sure I don't have 900 "sides" of the original material. This is incredible.

  • Hi bobchai,

Delightful video and music. I have heard this tune before, but darned if I can come up with the title for it. Thanks for posting! 5 STARS!

  • tdub1941: Tom, I don't know what Youtube does with the contrast, but all my videos of this session come out dark. I tweaked up the sound, however, and I'm glad you liked it. I urge all listeners to check out and subscribe to tdub1941's channel. He's the MASTER, bar none, of all of the modern performances of this genre of music! With over 200 videos, I think, to his credit!

  • CORRECTION: Tom has 862 videos ! 862 !! The greatest treasure trove of this era since the stock market crash. No wonder I don't have the time to put up my own stuff; I'm too busy watching his.

  • Bob,

Thanks for the kudos! After the Bix Festival (in a couple of weeks) I'll be posting some more videos here on YouTube.

The lineup of bands and performers scheduled to be there is wonderful. I'll end up with over 900 videos. Fun Stuff!

  • pili2255: Gaby, you are always a good friend to my videos, and thank you. There's more later this weekend!

  • can't say i know the song.

  • GlimpseAfterGlimpse: Hope you enjoyed it! You saw it before I previewed it myself. In my original vid, you can see the performers' faces better, but I'm happy with the sound. Thanks for visiting.
