  • I love this person's interpretation of the song. She really captures the moment, the laziness of the person singing. "I don't want to work, I want to smoke." Wish we had a name to put to this gorgeous voice.

  • I love Poulenc... what a gorgeous song!

  • First time I've heard a female voice singing this, and it's lovely! For any viewer who might be interested, a rough translation of the words, written by the poet Apollinaire, would be: "My room is shaped like a cage. The sun is reaching its arm through the window. But I, who want to smoke to make mirages, I light - on the fire of the day - my cigarette. I don't want to work. I want to smoke." The composer is Francis Poulenc, and it is from his "Banalités".
