About to pull my hair out with DVDSP. All I want to do is create a simple movie that's playing after the curatain opens using the theater template. But it will not let me. When I drag the file to the "DROP ZONE" it only allows me to create a background, causing the whole theater to vanish and turn into my video. I want it to be inside the theater when the curtain oipens up to reveal the montage. I don't want it to be the main video, I can drag that to the other buttons. Any suggestions?

@hootyhaha i am having the exact same problem i would love for the curtain to draw open and the movie be the layer behind it. but it seems as if no matter what i do the movie is in front of i. if @danonabouncycastle could download the presets this would be very helpful

Geez i thought i was out of the smoke but i was very wrong...seems i messed up on the menu part.if my menu has video with it would that cause for the play button to be stuck on the as well?

the only thing that is wrong is that my buttons will not highlite

in the menu viewer, there is a button at the bottom of the screen that can show you the regular state of a button, the highlighted state and then the selected state.

I dnt knw hw to do tht in DVD studio pro as Iam a begineer fr this but u can use FCP to do this. Take the subtiltles and put it on Layer 2 on FCP timeline upon the video match it according to the VO and export and burn it in DVD Studio pro....

I have a movie in .avi, and i want to make it DVD, but is on Turkish, but i found the sutitles on the Internet, it has the extension .srt, how can i put them this file into the movie so i can have it on DVD and see it with the subtitles that i found. Pleasee. Take care. Alex

there is a converter you can use to convert srt files into .txt which is what dvd studio pro likes to use as subtitle tracks!

it is called 'srt to ssa'

try downloading it and give it a go.
