It was good to hear your review once again. I think you were spot on, and I'm also glad that this season seems like it is going to be a much tighter competition from early one. The last few seasons there have definitely been a few crews I was counting down to the days they got dismissed.
If they don't do the challenges this season that is one thing I will seriously miss. No challenges means no illusion challenge, as well as a few other challenges I actually look forward to. Very sad decision.
@1Tacket1 We'll see but i think Request can last a little longer. As for Iconic Boyz even though they're entertaining to watch i just hope they don't get by on the fact they're kids and really bring it each week.
To me this episode wasn't as good as the previous. Footworkingz brought it for me. Being from Illinois I see quite a bit of footworking and this crew really performed it well. Good energy, control and Lil' Bit held her own. What I liked about 787 is that even with the stunts they were still dancing. Their seventh member would be proud. I liked what Jag6ed did. I do think they should have given more. I would have liked to see more of them. Like Mario said "Keep your heads up!"
@tigerofvirgo9 Iconic Boyz had a good performance. They prove that they can hang with the big guys. However, I have to say I'm not all the way sold on them or Instant Noodles. Speaking of IN their performance was kind of bland for me. It seemed low energy. With IB, IN and Street Kingdom I feel like they could get too much praise (Krumping and "Rize", young boys dancing, b-boys from the west coast). These are my thoughts.
@tigerofvirgo9 I do agree with you with regards to SK and too much praise. They have to show us why they deserve to be on ABDC and not get a pass cause they're the first krumping crew. As for IN, i don't think they're that safe as SK and IB.
@tigerofvirgo9 Crews that specialize in one style can sometimes be a double edge sword cause if you see one performance you've basically seen it all. Having said that, i feel very good about Footworkingz.
@nandoshuffles12 Listen, i love the show and i'm very passionate about dance. I don't claim to be a judge or any of the judges. I respect what JC, Lil Mama, and D-Trix say and if i disagree with them i simply say so. I'm just sharing my opinion on the crews and the performances. It's just something i like to do for fun.
@1Tacket1 Yeah, i'm proud of 787. Before the season started i had heard of a new crew from Puerto Rico who made it to the show but had no idea how good these guys were until i saw them. BTW, weren't you always defending Hype 5-0? I thought they were from your home town.
Weakest week in ABDC HISTORY. I was so upset and devastated by the group performances and individual group perf. Only two-three of the teams impressed me.
787, Footwork, and maybe Instant (by default because the other two were too cheesy for my liking). The little biebers were good, but how could they possibly made it on the sow over how many other crews that tried out? REALLY? Jagaded was a complete joke. It might have worked though if the girls off the pole were dancing agressive while the girls on the pole were interpreting the choreo that was off the pole.
@1Tacket1 As much as i liked Instant Noodles i don't think they're that safe. i mean, we've had b-boy crews since season 2 so they do have to bring something fresh like D-Trix mentioned and not rely too much on their humor.
787 had the best performance of the night for sure. They have the ability to land their tricks...so clean. It's amazing. They also are versatile in the fact that they have mastered B-Boying and straight choreography. I can't wait for them to see more performances in later weeks.
@1Tacket1 I do agree with JC that they shouldn't have used so many stunts out of the gate. But. i guess they wanted to come out with a bang and they did!
FootworKINGs...they were great. Their footwork was great and the fact that they could move that fast and still stay clean and tight blew my mind. Lil Bit is a very strong dancer and she blew my mind and definitely deserves to be female dancer of the week. I think it will be interesting to see them and their footworking in the future. One thing would be that, I would like to see different choreography from them and not just footwork. The judges hate that, no matter how clean.EX: Live in Colo
@1Tacket1 For people who don't know what FWKZ does they just see people dancing really fast and can get boring for some. So, i do agree with you that they need to change it up.
I didn't like Jag6ed's performance...at all. The choreography was simple and basic, their transitions consisted of 'walk here' and 'walk there', and some of their pole stunts came of as awkward to me. The thing that they don't have that the jump ropers, cloggers, and skaters had is Mobility. I don't think they would be able to make it while being stuck on a pole and they would soon get repetitive, nice message, I wish them the best.
It was nice to see Geo again, and ICONic Boys were better than expected. One critique would be that they need to be tighter with their movements as a group, and a lot of times to me togetherness was a problem for them. They were good, but I hope they don't get overrated and thrown ahead of the bunch for being kids.
@taizuke I like Iconic Boyz, they were really good for their age. I think they are close to Miniotics talent wise. But Iconic Boyz and Jagged beating all other crews during the auditions? For real MTV?! Clearly this is some gimmick that MTV is trying to pull off.
I blame Instant Noodles' performance on Ke$ha. That's not a B-Boy song and if you noticed, nearly all the crews were commenting on how Ke$ha wasn't an artist they would normally dance to.
@taizuke I think D-Trix looked at their performance and were expecting to have a lot of bboy choreography since they are branded as the bboys of this season. But if we remember, past seasons bboys were always slammed by the judges for not having enough Hiphop choreography and I think that's what Instant Noodles tried to bring. They even added humour. It's unfortunate that D-Trix looked at it too much on the bboy's standpoint.

@assiqtaq Thanks. Nice to hear from you too. Glad they decided to bring back the challenges, though.

@taizuke I finally got to see the Black Eyed Peas episode and I completely agree! So far so good this season.

I've been living in Hawaii and Georgia. I was voting for JB once a night, but H 5-0 until the time limit. So they both repped me.

Another thing on Instant Noodles/Jag6ed: If Instant Noodles would have went home I was completely ready to go insane.
Instant Noodles will have all members next week and it'll be interesting to see how they improve from this performance.
I'm giving IN the benefit of them doubt, for they had 5 members and were B-Boys dancing to Ke$ha.
I don't grant that to Jag6ed, for Pole Dancing fits into Ke$ha's music well ^_^.
I still wish them the best.

787 crew blew my mind probably one of the better b boy crews on the shows history
iconic boyz i wants entertained at all and i just found the kids annoying and i hope they go home next
jag6ed i agree with you this was a very boring performance and i was happy to see them go
instant noodlez they were ok maybe theyll be better with their 6th man
but i think the first 5 were the better group
