Is it the same thing to say: I use the car to get to work. as in I go by car to work?

I use indicates the physical object right which is doing the action and by car just indicates what medium you use as transportation?

I just thought that..but in general is it the same thing?

and I use the car indicates what the person chooses to use as a means of transportation. correct?

@UzumakiMatrix Yes - "I use a car to get work," is about the same thing as "I go to work by car," however, the word "use" emphasizes the utility of the object. You can also say, "I use mass transit," I use the bus," I use the train," I use a cab," but it's very uncommon to apply "use" to an airplane, unless you are very rich and then you can say, "I use my personal jet for traveling."

about the causative form!! in your other lesson: I had someone to something is the same as I got someone to do something. and I made someone do something the only difference is in the degree of command?

using MADE like you said so perfectly the person has to be in a position of authority

I always say: I asked him to ( do something for me )

I really never use I had or I got someone to do something.

Just as in I got a hair cut. I had a hair cut. lol
