Doom 2 is about saving the human race from extermination by freeing them from the spaceport at which they've been held captive, and then killing Baphomet and destroying Hell. But I imagine that Daisy had a hand in encouraging the pure manly bloodwrath surging through his veins.
@tredlanosnibor It's more heavily implying that hell already had started to invade earth, so in fact it wasn't playing fair by letting you escape. It was a taunt of sorts, "you want to go home?, go!".
Because if you saw no demons trying to go through that door with you -thus, providing reasonable doubt that they couldn't have-, but hell apparently already could open those doors before you got in, chances are they already used them.

I beat this entire game on an SNES emulator and I didnt get this ending. It only said those three paragraphs, then rolled two credit pages......everything else in the game was the same......just the ending, no ending music, no bunny head on a post.....fuckin pissssssed

@coolsnape For the xbox version do you mean after beating those 2 big demons and then going through the teleporter because that's just Episode 1. Start a new game and play the other episode, this is the ending from Episode 3: Inferno. The last episode is a port of Ultimate Doom.
The main character didn't kill the bunny. The Demons from the hell world did. While you were somehow warped into their hellish world on the moon, they have already opened a doorway to Earth and invaded the place already. The main character you play, Sarge, is the good guy... well at least in the first two games. Play the third game on XBox or Xbox 360 to know what know what has become of Sarge.

Chances are the Doom marine from the first game is a Private, though, given he's on Phobos because he assaulted his CO and instead of being discharged after a huge court martial, for political reasons, they just shipped him to Phobos. Most likely he was stripped of his rank as well, although that's never said..

@Arcadeprehacked Thats because you played on pussy mode. You can only experience the first zone of Doom on: Im too young to die! and Not so rough. If you choose those settings, you'll go to a room where you'll get killed and kicked to the title screen. If you do: 'Hurt me plenty!' to 'Nightmare' you will still get killed, but you will instead go to the next zone.
So... Why'd they not kill that other rabbit? Were the demons just so guilt stricken about killing the first one that they left the other one alone? (I mean, even alien demons don't stoop THAT low)

You..killed me so many times in this game...you gave me cacodemons, cyberdemons, spider masterminds, and that final boss...not to mention those flipping hell knights...BUT WHEN YOU KILL THE F*CKING BUNNY, ITS PERSONAL!
