There are approximately 2 AN-225 Mirna in the world. Only one is operational and yes it is still flying. It takes contracts from all over the world for transport of some of the biggest objects you can imagine!

the An-225 is only about 30 ft longer and the C5 can carry about 20,000 pounds more in payload. And the an225 has two more engines than the C5. So in this case, bigger is not better. And the C5-M model has higher payload and range capacity thanks to its new engines so its a huge improvement over the B Model. In the Antonov's defense, it probably doesnt cost as much to maintain. I would know.

That's right, but the AN-225 is no military aircraft.
