  • gawd, I love SCTV

  • these two guys were just the best -- Dave Thomas also did a great Bob Hope -- nothing beats Dave and Rick as the Mackenzie brothers though.

  • SCTV might be the only thing I've liked about Christmas in the last 30 years. This is of it's time, but timeless!!

  • All time classic skit.

  • Ethel Merman singing Silent Night. Classic!

  • What thirty years later and I'm still LMFAO.. SNL couldn't even come close to this.

  • I've loved SCTV for years and I treasure this! So so so so funny! No one did like they did!

  • You know your trouble if Liberace was the voice of reason

  • How anyone could EVER think that Ethal Merman was a singer is beyond me. She deserved to me mocked.

  • very funny, and some great impersonations by some folks we all know well today, as well as one we miss.

  • Good King Wenslles le- I'm sorry Lee, I can't do it, HE'S MOVING!

  • that guy actually looked like elton john

  • "Christmas is a frivolous time of year and nobody likes frivolity more then me"

  • "I'll fire him!"

  • rick moranis is more elton than elton!

  • @Similie damn you beat me to it

  • I remember when SCTV was shown in the States in the 80's...funniest show in all of North America, hands down! Best SCTV skit! Hilarious!

  • Liberace with a shitload of Botox!

  • I would love to see 20000 leagues under the sea skit... I searched for it on utube and could not find it...

  • LOL! Absolutely hilarious!

Definitely one of the funniest SCTV skits ever.

  • This stuff is great...the real Wells was known for being somewhat difficult to work with....

  • too much to laugh at........

  • How did they get away with this while Liberace was still alive? I mean the beefcake whipping thing alone would have been enough to get his AstroGlide boiling!

  • Boy, you said it. The most brilliant writing of any comedy show EVER!

  • Why was G. Gordon Liddy whipping Liberace?

  • @esahadi: It wasn't G. Gordon Libby whipping him-but a big gay guy into S&M/leather.

  • the pianist who did this certainly captured elton john's clumsy piano playing perfectly!

  • Dave Thomas was great as Liberace! Do you know if they ever broadcasted any other skits featuring Liberace?

  • Elton kicking the ball into Liberace's head, Orson taking the turkey with him as he walks off the set...hilarious. SCTV: funniest skit comedy show ever, period.

    Thanks for posting!

  • I don't think I ever got Welles walking off with the turkey!!! LOL! Hilarious!

  • @Squank63

  • thank yo uSO much for this! LOL. This is so funny! COuld you post the Dusty Towne CHristmas Special?

  • Dale: in case you didn't get my reply re: "request for upload", here it is. You said, "my my my....you have WAAAAY too much time on your hands.lol". If I do, it's precisely what allows me to upload all my videos, which folks like you can then sit on your fat, lazy asses and enjoy. Seems odd - or just blatantly ballsy and ungracious - to then accuse me of having too much time on my hands, while you enjoy the fruits of what you call "too much time"!

  • And Dale: you yourself found the time to respond to my "no requests" note. I'm retired; what's your excuse? I sense a little sour grapes on your part and your puny attempt to "get even" with me. Yes, no, maybe? Poor little thing. You have my deepest sympathies!

  • @chalomirof63 I actually bow and scrap to you. Thank you for uploading such delirious funnies!!

  • You've already made my holiday season with this, and all the other X-mas/Chanukah posts.(and it hasn't really even started yet!!) I feel very warm and fuzzy right now:) "I feel very DEEP, CRISP, and CRUCHY...I'm sorry did I say crunchy? I'm sorry Franny...He was moving!;-)" LOL Soooo funny! Thank you. xo

  • "Deep and crisp and crunchy!!!! He was moving...." - Haaahhaaaha!!! Oh Lord. Doug: I know that Y.T. is having problems posting comments these days, but I've saved all your old ones as I've deleted my old videos and re-posted them. So, again, if you'd like to repost them........ Take care.

  • your taking up valuable air

  • Great skit. Brilliant actors. Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis and especially John Candy as Orson Wells are perfect.
