It is actually a worm. To be exact it is called a Horn-worm. They eventually will pupate and turn into a moth like insect. Not sure exactly what kind but what you have there is indeed a worm.

@dhearndon One of the main things you have to watch out for while feeding Beardies wild insects is the pesticides they might have on them from crawling around other yards etc. The pesticides are what can do your dragon in, otherwise the worms are totally good for bearded dragons.

Not really. I never heard of that story. Me and my daughter was just playing around with her lizard and a worm she was going to feed her lizard. She let it crawl around and then aidea went off in my head to make a story out of it. It was just something we threw together in about 20 mins.
