  • I love his sense of humor.

  • This is actually based on a true story serious

  • @mastergamer59 this happened after the movie, so it's not based on a true story, a true story is based on this movie.

  • @xplosionnoname thanks i never knew that akward isnt it

  • @mastergamer59 and after that, someone made the movie attack of the killer tomatoes, in the hope that that movie would "come true" too xD

  • I've seen this movie

  • GLaDOS watched this movie.

  • @Jorbs3210 ya ur right tht how she became violent

  • the girl at the end sucked worst actor

  • This is one of the best trailers ever. Much better than todays spewed-out shit trailers, that reveal everything the movie is about in half a minute.

  • Saw this film when i was 10, scared the absolute shit out of me.

  • Fiddlesticks comming ? (only for lol players) :P

  • @thomse58 you stupid bitch! A macaw is probably smarter than you. You're such a dumbass

  • why are people so dum birds dont have minds ffs

  • birdemic

  • "it's quite dead, of course"

love his dry sense of humor :)

  • lol

  • By Alfred Hichcock.

Cock, cock, cock we love Hichcock

  • Hitchcock at his best with this advertisement for his movie. Apart from his directing skills Mr. H was a master of the double entendre, a charming fellow.

  • A trailer like this is so much better than the modern ones which show the entire plot of the movie...

  • I can't believe that the end gave me goosebumps! What a man; what talent.

  • to brighten man's drab life.

  • You ought to like this!

  • That room is magnificent, where it's all gone this beautiful architecture?

  • The man had a good sense of humor. Not to mention his films r the best works.

  • I love how sarcastic he is xD He is just fantastic!

  • GO BIRDS!! kill the humans for torturing you! :)

  • Strange that the trailer explains the birds' motive rather than the movie itself

  • BOORING!!!

  • love this movie...still get scared after all these years lol

  • Damn.. that trailer was 48 years old, and i got goosebumps.

  • I was actually bitch-smacked by a crow once back in High School.

  • I ♥ u Alfred Hitchcock

  • The big year...lol

  • Granted, bagging a fellow hunter can be diverting, but the supply is rather limited.

    Thank you Alfred.

  • this is a very satyrical trailer isn't it?

  • 'The' scariest Hitchcock film.

  • Alfred Hitchcock's 'Duck Hunt'

  • The thing I like about Alfred Hitchcock(besides the brilliant films he made) is that he always seems a very nice man.

  • Childhood memories...

  • The best part of this is that I had watched the movie BEFORE seeing this trailer so the reasons for the birds make perfect sense for why they're attacking. Apparently they had reached their boiling point. One of his best.

  • how is this his worst movie?? this movie is super SUPER creepy it still makes me uncomfortable just thinking about it.

  • Whats so cool about him?

  • Now that the birds are released, here comes the terror!

  • Hilarious. Ya know, there are TONS of film sites which claim that it's impossible to tell why the bird attack in the movie: "The Birds." I should post a link to this trailer on every one of them.

  • The Love Birds are why they attacked.

  • Even in his worst movie he's the best

  • @olmaleo His worst movie? o.o

  • @frightism no its not his worst movie, one of his best really. it's just terrefieing.

  • @frightism Whatever. The point is, his stuff was better than just about everyone else.

  • @frightism Hi, I have a question: this moovie, has a soundtack? Please, answer. Thanks.

  • @lolarupi Are you asking if this film has a soundtrack? If you are than, no, "The Birds" does not have a film soundtrack. The only "musical" moment in the film is when the school children are singing while the birds form on the play set behind actress Tippi Hedren. It just goes to show how a film does not require a soundtrack to make it a brilliant one! I hope this answered your question. :)

  • @frightism Thanks! Such a complete answer.. I just had that doubt because i saw it in Susana Gimenez and it was really strange! Anyways, thank you

  • @lolarupi Anytime!

  • @olmaleo Bullshit!

  • The worst of Hitchcock was better than the best of modern directors. Sigh.

  • @menckencynic Again, his worst movie? Where are you guys coming from??

  • @frightism It was a general comment about his movies, not about the Birds.

  • @menckencynic Oh, alright. As long as there's no hate on this fantastic film.

  • Comment removed

  • @olmaleo Did he ever have a worst film?

  • he turns it,i wished he was cloned now so he can show these over payed, over drug addict fools how to make a film

  • I love the mans use of sarcasm.

  • man we have such a wonderful relationship with this marvelous creatures. LOL

  • Oh Hitchcock , you magnificent bastard!

  • 10 people had their eyes plucked out by crows.

  • birds are faking scary if i will watch this it will be the scaryest thing for me!!!!

  • 10 people are to be cast into the bowels of the Earth and pecked by birds.

  • This man had an enormous imagination!

  • Good to see even mr Alfred Hitchcock in the 60's was a proper nature ativist.

Man this guy is a legend.

  • THIS DOESNT LOOK THAT SCARY..............IT IT REALLY THAT SCARY??

  • @nosejob14 No, not really. There's some moments where you'll be pretty startled, but nothing too shocking.

It's a great movie regardless =D Alfred Hitchcock movies often are.

  • Only the "Dead parrot" sketch is better than this!

  • LOL. such a relationship, we are such good friends with the birds

  • Huge Hitchcock fan.

  • could someone upload The Birds II Lands End

  • we will have nobody who capture the horror like hitchcock...a genious ahead of his time. The Birds is classic example of brilliance like Psycho pure horror at its best.

  • I think this is where dry humor originated.

  • If birds started attacking me/following me when I walked around I'd just carry a tennis racket.

  • @magicapplesauce ROFL! LOL LOLZ XD!!!!!! THAT WOULD B KINDA FUNNY!

  • @magicapplesauce I would create an army of cats.

  • Brilliant trailer. He was in another level.

  • He filmed the trailer months before production began on The Birds and the The Birds only took a few weeks to film. At 4:36 it questions the secret behind the birds attacking. But the film never explains it!

  • My father went to the cinema in some port city in Poland in 1971, they were playing the movie. People were fucking scared, for these years it was really terrifying film.

  • @hax0r16 I saw it 1995 or 1996 when I was a 5-6 year old kid. It made me fucking scared and I still love this movie, you don't see here zombies, ghosts other stuff just...birds but it makes you scared.

  • Yup, Hitchcock's movies are great and scary, even if dorosły jestem now ;)

  • A wonderful classic along side with Psycho!

  • Well,in order to make a great movie you gotta break some eggs.

  • He's so brilliant.

  • It would be pretty cool if there were trailers like this nowadays, but then again, nobody could pull it off quite well as Alfred Hitchcock did.

  • hilarious with subtitles "my name is out for kids"

  • Looks like some pigs took their eggs.

  • @TheZerg123 angry birds lol

  • im to too sure, but that sounds a bit like sarcasm......

  • i rather watch liquid television's version of alfred's masterful work than any of the cgi crap of today.

  • I haven't seen a lot of trailers like that. Nice!

  • had it on Age of Persuasion

  • lol, Alfred Hitchcock's sarcastic humor is so funny!

  • Amazing.

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • 10 people got their eyes pecked out!

  • Greatest trailer of all time to one of the greatest movies of all time, directed by the best director of all time.

  • I wish I could hang in a room like that.

  • I would like to see a remake of this film.

  • 'Mr. HITCHCOCK WOULD LIKE TO FUCK WITH YOUR MIND' should have been the titlecard.

  • @JimmyColls haha love it!

  • Alfred Hitchcock is such a gentleman! :D

  • my mum has seen this and i can't wait to see it. my mum told me someone's eyes got pecked out.

  • @MikeisBigify i know :P

  • @MikeisBigify i just happen to like shot guns!

  • they re coming.... sounds like Harry Potter! jaja!

  • steven king isn't scary, he's just fucked up...

  • lol this is retarded. i like it.

  • 9 people don't know what a good movie is

  • Anyone ever tried sitting through all the rip offs on the Sci Fi Channel? Only Sir Hitchcock could pull it off. And did he ever pull it off.

  • a REAL trailer...and not just a modern mashup of random clips...

  • How great was Sir Alfred Hitchcock? He could stand in front of a camera and bullshit for five minutes and use that as the trailer. Remember that next time you see a trailer that shows all the best parts of today's films.

  • he was holding a shot gun ! 2:47

  • I LOVE how pissed off the birds get

at the human race in this movie! LOL!

  • lol we read the book in english class and we were going to watch the movie but i wanted to c the trailer and they changed everything

  • Creepy.

  • THIS IS GENIUS.

  • The 3 people who disliked it probaly doesn't know who this guy is and they probably think this is some documantary about birds because their minds are made of shit.

  • @Sylar23100 One person named Sylar23100 is using the people dislike comment which is old, not funny anymore, and stupid thus making you look like an idiot. Thanks :D

  • @coachjr7241 Disliking this movie is way more stupid than enything i wil ever do.

  • @Sylar23100 You sure about that?

  • great movie when i was a teenager we had a few trees in our street and magpies use to swoop you and i alwsys thought of this movie it use to scare the shit out of me when they swooped love rod taylor he is an aussie just like me great movie

  • The birds were just tired of seeing this extreamely long promo.

  • HE'S LIKE EDGER ALLEN POE! (<- prob spelled wrong) but "The Birds" really is a SCARY movie! you're mind is always working! "OMG WHAT R THE BIRDS GUNNA DO NEXT?!?!" "NOOO NOT THE BIRDS" "DAMN BIRDS!" "DON'T KILL THEM!" haha that was what i was like during the movie! XD

  • this is so funny!! :)

  • Looks Like I'LL Have To Send A Few Birds After 1 Person In The World

  • Almost half a century later and have we learned nothing from this movie? I'm surprised PETA has not purloined this trailer. ;-)

My favorite sequence from "High Anxiety" is the parody of "The Birds."

  • My mother was so afraid for this movie. I don't know why.

  • The Plucking Sound Still Makes Me Laugh xD

  • i have an alfred hichcock silly band

  • First time I saw this movie, I was at a Friday night sleepover at my friend's. It was on a "Fright Night" programme after 11 o'clock. Scared the wits out of me; Now, I look at flocks of pigeons with suspicion. lol This is a great trailer. Thanks. :)

  • Brilliant trailer for a brilliant, if slightly slow film. It is a shame though that in this film, birds are made out to be evil when they are far from it. Infact, technically humans are the only species of animal capable of being evil (we are the only ones that can acknowledge ourselves and our actions)

Alfred's use of sarcasm i very clever in this trailer and shows how humans have caused many innocent species of animal to suffer or go extinct (and yes we HAVE caused it)

  • ive read the book and its scary, but the films scarier.

  • its a good thing i have a 12 gauge

  • Many have expressed here how scary "The Birds" is.

I used to think so, myself.

Until I saw it on the big screen, during a Hitchcock revival.

    It isn't scary.

    It's terrifying.

If you have the chance to see it at a theatre, don't miss it - it will be unforgettable.

  • this is one of the scariest movies ever made, im my opinion.

  • hey, NO DISLIKES!!! :D

  • Yehh!! Thumbs up!

  • @yinyanghero14 Isn't that amazing?!?!?!

  • @yinyanghero14

What the- there's one now! Who did that? :[

  • @yinyanghero14 Dang! There's one!

  • @yinyanghero14 Now there is one! wow, what a moron...

  • @yinyanghero14 actually now there are 10

  • Alfred Maste Hitchcock-

  • The end part scares the crap out of me!

  • Love this trailer! Hitchcock was a genius!

  • he sound like a posh cockney

  • w w w.youtube.com/user/ARsho8587#p/u/45/PXw9Z7VXKqM

  • LOVE. One of the best trailers, period (along with Psycho). Thanks for posting.

  • @shcuts You're very welcome, It is a great trailer!

  • @shcuts it is brilliant. psycho is good. frenzy trailer is hilarious!

  • Alfred Hitchcock was a truly brilliant person. I would have never imagined such eloquence from a horror film; he truly opened my eyes to embrace them more. Of course, his creations are my favorites. This movie was particularly chilling, the lack of a score was interesting, but almost welcome, and that's saying something for me, because I love a good film score.

  • Sheer brilliance! The movie's one of the scariest ever, a true masterpiece made with no computer gimmickry.

  • @CissyKitty Yes, It is a brilliant film! It still holds up today and is very much a classic!

  • This is absolutely genius!

  • @davidjohncooke1 Very much so!

  • This guy was absolutely ahead of his time!

  • @rrrina He sure was!

  • @rrrina I honestly think we should have stuck with Hitchcock's method of fear upon the mind, rather than the sense of sight which is so popular today. Seeing the coraw slowly gather at the playground was without a doubt the CREEPIEST scene in horror film I have ever seen!
