  • Krav maga and silet r the best

  • Perhaps the 'Neck Strike' was used by Liam Neeson in 'Taken'

  • Silat is quite useful in close quarter fight...

  • Here's a list of moves that enforce my previous statement: Escrima Kali and Silat are killing styles, not self defense, and thus not allowed in the UFC.

12-6 elbows from Muay Thai are illegal

Boston Crab technique from Jiu Jitsu is illegal (dislocating both legs at the hip)

Grabbing the trachea from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, is illegal (this move is not allowed in BJJ competitions but is taught by some teachers as a form of survival fighting)

Heel Kicks to kidneys (taekwondo) are illegal. mma's SISSY

  • great to see the game better ... well do these 5 parts ...

  • This type of martial art its the original Wing Chun. I think Wing Chun is fake. Who doesnt know Chinese. Master of copycat and piracy. Almost 90 % of their factory made are fake item. I doubt about their historiical artifact too. I quite confident that teracotta warrior also fake. LOL.

  • hahaha the taxi called beca

  • indeed...

  • keris vs guns and cannons. keris still defends malacca for 40 days. hell yeah!

  • colourful flower taxi is call beca

  • i like when they go somewhere and showcase an art that is outside their kickbox, karate, grapple comfort zone.

  • Oh i wondered how did we won over those guys in war, now i know.

  • Wow im a malay n even i didnt know that the keris is/was poisoinous. I tot it was an ordinary a lil bit silly lookin small sword, or knife. Shame on me

  • "... in the historical city of Malaka..." lol

  • asian krav maga...

  • @frikodian god damn it, why is that always appear such an idiot boys that spit comment like you every where

  • @MrSolitude14

    excuse me?

are you really that bored with your life that you have to troll?

its an observation. calm down man...

  • the prove that silat come from JAVA (Indonesia) : they use keris sword, which is the common sword used by javanese people. keris are also found in sumatra but the oldest keris founded in JAVA island where Majapahit Kingdom ruled

  • @theKribow oh shut the fuck up! silat developed its own distinctive styles across malay archipelago. We never claim silat as our creation, only idiots will say that. even all the gurus admit that silat began as a mix of other martial arts. u want to claim keris as javanese creation? Look again! Keris had its original wavy shape from India but improved to be tapered like Chinese sword. You can find keris everywhere in South East Asia, including Philippines and even India. Idiot.

  • @whygothic everything has it roots.every martial arts is a imitation from another martial arts.original shape from india but improved, sound familiar isnt it?but not just take it and say its a tradition from malaysia (like malaysia said about silat).yes, i can find keris everywhere because Majapahit imperial (indonesia=jawa) had ruled in philippines.and in india, well u said keris hasd it roots from india, well maybe the merchant in the past brought it back to india as a gift to their family.

  • when u never claim silat as your creatioin, why they said it as a traditional martial arts in malaysia?if you are fair enough, you can say to this 2 dumbasses, that they should go to indonesia.

  • @theKribow ugh the stalker is back...read your own phrase man, "it is a traditional martial art in Malaysia." silat has been practiced by Malays since hundred of years ago, does that not qualify to be defined as 'traditional'? now please stop talking about what belongs to whom, it's sickening. nobody cares. as for that pendet dance? it was a mistake by the stupid firm who was contracted to produce the video.nobody in Malaysia give a shit about it.

  • @theKribow Not Malaysia, Not Indonesia, but it belongs to the whole Malay nation which constitutes the old Champa, Langkasuka, Sulu, nowadays Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei.

And please stop thinking in the crippling Indonesian mindset that Malays are those in East Sumatra. Javanese, Sundanese, Minangs, Acehnese, Baweans, Banjars, all are Malays.

There were no Indonesia nor Malaysia 100 years ago. All there were was the Archipelago known as Kepulauan Tanah Melayu.

  • @theKribow Oldest man living in the world now is in the United States, does it prove that mankind spawn from the US?

  • this is really cool. i can really see wing chun influences in this. would love to learn it.

  • i prefered lian padukan....

  • Korean claim KARATE as their original Martial Arts.. Japanese will absolutely angry

Venezuela claim that CAPOEIRA from them.. Brazilian will absolutely angry

That's why we people of Indonesia angry when Malaysia claim these as their culture:

    BATIK from East Java

    AGKLUNG from West Java

    REOG MASK from East Java

    SILAT from Indonesia

PENDET DANCE from BAli (THE RIDICULOUS THING IN THIS CASE THAT MALAYSIA GOVERMENT RECORD THE TOURISM VIDEO IN BALI - INDONESIA)

    & many more..

  • hidup silat melayyyyyyyuuuuuu!!!! anak melayu di perantauan!!

  • what i know , this type of silat, Lian padukan , use similar Technic same like wing chun kungfu. same method, only in technic and practice.

  • @6:20 the translator translated it wrongly..what the guru actually trying to say is "during war, they will add more poison on the edges of the blade..so that even with a little slash the enemy will go down in 2 seconds"

  • The indonesian guy who interchanged blows on the chest protector with Jason looked angry; he delivered more hammer fists rather than straight chain punches, a matter of personality I guess.

  • @Aedox1 he is malay not indo

  • @amirisanidiot BEY indon bukan melayu gak ke

  • @islamgood1243123 sama gak cume basanya lain skitt :P

  • So far from what I've seen this version of Silat that borrows from Wing Chun is the only one that could be effective but you might as well take Wing Chun. That poison knife is something else but as a striking style I am not impressed.

  • @bndctus looks are deciving the strike only looks weak, but at full speed it can be just as effective as any other strike with full power.

  • u retard that is a wrong fact.the chinese traders came to malacca and practised kung fu.they were influenced and decided to exchange knowledge of their own culture's martial art

  • I swear... Bill is the most ungraceful being on the planet. hahah hes so stiff!

  • the knife is not really poisonous, the poison would be destroyed by the heat in the forging process, its a myth

another fuck up by human weapon, this show is close to being too retarded to watch

  • @nephildevil then again, who says you can't coat the blade with poison?

  • @codenamevengeance I think they messed up the translation. According to Indonesian people i have spoken, the Kris is said to be possessed by a spirit. When you stab someone with the Kris, his spirit gets trapped inside too and so the weapon is cursed. A Kris made for battle had the powers of many angry spirits which was supposed to make it extra deadly.

  • so alike wing chun

  • they'er mkaing the form seem a lo0t gayer than it is, they make it seem like you do this with this part of your arm and then this with thie part. but its less complicated than that. your just rolling your arms

  • silat is more dangeruos than kung fu, muay thai, karate, and many more

  • @90metalfan No, what matters more is the fighter, not their style.

  • old school Escrima, Kali, and Silat are not self defense. they were intent on killing. and THAT'S why it is not allowed in sissy-ass MMA.

Jeet Kun Do all the way baby, we don't restrict things just cause of killing power

  • @manodeldios666 jiujitsu is allowed in MMA you call jiujitsu a sport for sissys?

  • wow,silat + ip man..kinda cool do..

  • the military should replace the bayonette with this lol

  • Gay punching...

  • Muay Thai Rules

  • @rgoutyidjhkdhgnr Yup, Silat's mainly for self-defense .. not aggression.

  • wing chun mix Sumo...

  • Lol wing chun style!

  • The kris dagger is poisonous. I grew up with one in the house. It's not quite as poisonous as he says, but it will kill the bejeezus out of you if you take too many nicks with it.

  • who doesn't hate bill??

    nobody thats who.

  • I don't hate Bill, I just like to laugh at him. ^^

  • Magical poison forged into the blades of the kris? Superstition much?

  • conclusion is... malay silat from malaysia, indon silat is from indonesia and so on.. silat not so popular because all pesilat like me is told by their guru not to show off their skills because it is just for protecting... not like TKD, kung fu or capoeira want to show how strong their are by show it during film... unfortunately, muay thai also began to show off... huhu.. fellow martial arts of asian..

  • LOL at Bill @3.37

  • silat is from indonesia...check wikipedia....

  • ur right. im not from indonesia but that is true. im a malaysian

  • Haha.

I got a sick joy from reading "Check Wikipedia"

  • but Malay Silat more effective and powerful than Javanese Silat

  • ofcourse it looks like kung fu , because it was the kung fu master came oversea to teach the local warrior martial arts .

  • This style of silat looks like the Chinese Kung Fu - Wing Chun. Can any one tell me is it a hybrid of both silat & kung fu?

  • Sort of Silat is influenced by both chinese and Indian martial arts but also some are uniquely Malayan check out wikipedia

  • well, i think that the part 1 of this chapter explains that, or i see it in Figth Quest, but the silat is hybrid because Malasya was a geo-estrategic ponit for different wars, and was occopied by japan, and china, then the natives learn and mix the diferent martial arts from each country, with a very good malasian touch. . . i love silat

  • in the video it says its a mix of wing chung , and i think it either said silat or Escrima hand techniques

  • @tharguyoverthere16 Wing Chun is an influence on some of the styles. Silat is a very general term, like how Kung Fu is a general term for Chinese Martial Arts, Silat is a general term for styles from Indonesia, Java, and a few other countries in the region.

  • @Wolfenman08 k kool :P

  • Malay (Malacca) empire have good relation with others bigger empire like china, turks, india and etc.Malay sultan always sent their warrior to other empire for training, no wonder some silat has similar move to kungfu and other martial arts..

    peace...

  • Well this is kun tao. Its a silat version of kung fu. Hehe...

  • is so like wing chun

  • Are those Adidas Silat uniforms?

    I want one...

  • u give sicilians a bad name homie

  • the blade actually isnt deadily so to speak. during the end stages of making the knife it is dipped in arsenic and lime juice. a scratch of arsenic wont nessicarily kill you in minutes. thats for sure. youd die from tetanus before arsenic poisoning

  • shut up will ya?

  • *cough* bong sao, lop sao and some chun chois *cough*

  • they should teach mma practitioners this

  • They cant use this in MMA, people will die... Like 90% of silat is agenst the rules lol Theres a big difference between ring and street fighting martial arts.

  • @GuamKomudo yeah you have let the SIlat Master know not the parylyze his opponent,,you cant cripple someone that should be illegal

  • @GuamKomudo absolutely right.

  • @GuamKomudo yes that is'nt zo wierd to me;)

  • @GuamKomudo street fighting martial arts ftw. love krav maga and eskrima

  • azlan ghanie was saying other stuff and interpretor didnt interprate correctly...

  • sometimes, on interpreters discretion, somethings are better left unsaid :p

  • Notice the Adidas Gis? Very traditional, lol.

  • hidup silat melayu!

  • wong dong

  • weng chun!!!!

  • see this is wh ybruce lee lerant it because it a system that works
