These random sounds you say you hear make the beat, you see; there is an actual drummer making those noises on an electric drum set, or whatever it's called. As for the vocals on this track, yes I can see how that just sounds like random noises. Calling music out for being hipster is quite hypocritical.

@moustached48 Taste differs from person to person. Blake produces some minimal tunes, incorporating dubstep. Dubstep doesn't HAVE to be big phat "WOBWOBWOBWOB" baseline in order to be great. Personally i do like big phat wobbles now and then, but i don't feel the need to send my ears to hell and back every time in order to enjoy dubstep. I feel these kind of tunes (Blakes) sound more thought out and clever, rather then the intro-rise-drop-repeat progression alot of dubstep tracks have nowaday

Whether you think his stuff is good or not, the one thing i'm sure of is that this is not the way electronic music is going, it's a red herring.
