Wonderful! I have yet to make a successful carrier landing. I am getting close, but I just don't have the touch. Oh, I can stick it onto the deck, but I'm talking a normal, good enough in real life that it would work kind of landing. Same with mid-air refueling. I just can't use small enough movements to nudge up to the Airbus tanker. Oh well, I suppose practice makes perfect. You have got it down brother! Subbing right now!

Its not too hard really. The problem with this particular plane (for me because of my lack of PC power) is the frame rate. It's hard to make rapid/fine inputs when the FPS is not great thereby making precise landings tough. In fact, this landing has a pretty big flaw. I flared slightly which is a no no on a trap. It looked pretty good however :)

It does take some practice. Dont give up!

Quick question, I guess you're using FSRecorder, how did you manage to playback the carrier? This is giving me major headaches, I can't find a way to replay my flights with the carrier at the correct location.

@ricthot Thank You sir :) There is atrick to it.. You have to start a flight (lets say KSFO) at a specific runway which leads out over water. Place your carrier 5 or 10nm out. Then record your plane in FSRec. On playback just be sure to put the carrier 5 or 10nm from the same exact place you were placed on the runway. Or,, record in FSrec and play back without closing or exiting a flight. The carrier stays put as long as you have it set to hold..

That seems to do the trick, thanks! I'm experiencing some weird stuttering on playback on the carrier though, and the TACAN seems to go haywire. Have you ever experienced that?

@ricthot Glad I could help. Honestly, I haven't really taken edvantage of it yet. I need to spend more time going over the details of the airplane. I tend to want to jump in a fly a little then go on to something else. Seems a waste not to use all the cool features.

First wire. Dangerous. Aim for the third or secon. First wire means you were dangerously slow. Fourth means too fast and high. I don't have the game but tutorials I've seen for FSX say to come in at 130 kts. Try 150.

Hey Buddy. For the VRS? Its a separate application that is installed when you install the 18. I think you have to launch it before you launch FSX, config your plane then exit. I may have that backwards :)

Have a question, for some odd reason I can only run AiCarriers 2 when FSX isn't in fullscreen mode, but than all my ai traffic gets disabled... I'm running FSX SP1 w/ Accel.

Yeah.. I cant recall exactly but I think you need to find the EXE.xml file for FSX. (I think its in the roaming folder if you have Vista) and you need to delete the lines in there for launching AICarriers. I launch AIC manually now by clicking on a shortcut on my desktop after FSX starts.

this carrier seems a lot better than the flight deck 5 carriers. everytime i land on those i always do it perfectly but for some reason i eaither fall through the ship or right off the deck XD

Indeed sir! Its MUCH better. Also depends on the plane. Some planes in FSX don't do well on the carrier I found out. Even perfect landings end up as a crash.

Got the "bug" and Love it =). i go to the launch area, put the launch lever down but dont know what to do after that. @Humza1 Hey Man, sorry for late reply. Have you figured out yet how to launch? I cant recall off the top of my head what keys you press but you lower the bar, then attach, then launch. I think Ctrl+I, Shift+Space.. Do one of the missions that come with Acceleration. It shows you the key commands there or just go to the knee board and look at key assignments.

Have you tried to set the frame limit to unlimited? It seems that the frame limiter 'overdoes' under high loads. I get a nice fps boost with AS F-16 this way.
