LOL,,,I discovered this on accident by holding my finger over the tip. Thanks for the full technical explanation on this, it does make it easy when it's time to clean your gun.
@halo3guyy Not that easy with a full size spray gun as you have the paint feed nozzle plus several air jets, you couldn't block them with one hand let alone one finger, an airbrush you can but thats a different animal altogether.
As DN79 says a bunched up paper towel would likely work OK, but then how hard is it to unscrew the air cap, I mean, really!
Yea! This actually wrks! I actually started doing this by accident. But it actually cleans the gun. Don't get me wrong but yes I still take it apart and give it a complete cleaning.
This Works extremely well. I watched this Cleaning Tip last night and tried it today. I shot 4 different colors. After the second color I took the gun apart to see if there were any traces of the two colors in the gun. After using the Peculating method My Gun was very clean. Thanks for the time saving Tip. We still need to to Disassemble Our Guns to get the Crud Out. But Now a little less often.
Been a novice car painter/body man (the old lead filler days) for decades and I learned something new from a true craftsman..this saves me time cleaning up..thanks for the great tip..(but still strip and clean later)..only thing is the fumes can be deadly,,need protection all the time.
pretty much the same for airbrush artists. He should be wearing a respirator. I got a really bad respiratory burn from doing that. Always protect your lungs!!!!!!!!!
yea, you douchebags... judge not good info by the mullet wearer form which it comes. The dude knows his painting techniques and saved me a bunch of time and money - heck I might grow a mullet now!
why are you guys taking the piss out of people who are trying to teach others, This guys on tv now, so hes doing something right. just grow up you pricks!!!

You can do the same just by holding your finger over the nozzle and pulling the trigger.
When finished ,put aircap in spraygun pot to soak.
