so how long does the shine actually last? I mean, whenever I polish my frets with steel woolor brasso they look mirror-like, but they star going back to dull with a couple hours of playing... does this stuff make the shine last longer?
@HudCouto well mine is still shiny mate, you get a really nice slick feeling that lastts for a good few days but the shine it still there ,i did it a few weeks ago , the good thing is that all you need to do it slacken off the strings and you can do it again really easy , but i would say a good few weeks mine lasted for plus its so much quicker to do ,
@HudCouto sorry for the late comment- but I use the stuff and it is really fantastic. I find that if you consistently wipe the strings and fingerboard down after each playing session, the effect of the Gorgomyte lasts much longer. My experience is- every 3rd string change or so, I re-Gorgomyte it. Incidentally, this stuff comes from way back, marketed as "Miracle Cloth" back in the sixties and still today. The main ingredient is Coconut Oil.
Lol when you first started playing i thought you were doing Symphony of destruction :P nice man I see the new squier! Liked the pics :) might pick some of this stuff up!
is it anything like Brasso? I use that now, but it stinks like lighter gfluid and turns the fingerboard white :S but it is great
@ravenshield56 its got a nice smell mate ,and this dose the same job but no need to mask the frets off as this is fretboard food to nom nom :P ,use one bit al over the fretboard then use the secon bit to just hit the frets ,then you buff it all off, job done and a better job to as it leaves the frets feeling soft and fast and slick feeling .
Is it only available from Gorgomyte or Floyd upgrades? or are there some uk sellers?
