Woo! First comment, first thumbs up! Nice version of this classic tune, I like it. Miller can be a little over-the-top for me sometimes, almost self-indulgent on the bass. But this is beautiful. He sounds phenomenal with an orchestra!
@MrStrangeSensation For a solo bassist Marcul Miller is one of the least self-indulgent in my opinion. He prefers to groove as opposed to playing really flashy.
@bunkabusta01i Totaly agree. One of the thinghs that i like in MM playng is the fact that, when he takes a bass solo, it is just a normal-lenght bass solo, with a structure, and related on the musical context, not an half-hour long series of arpeggios. By the way i'm not making any kind of direct confrontation between players, i'm just praising Marcus's great sense of music.
