I have noticed that the ATC in FSX (i'm not sure about FS2004, didn't use it) is very unrealistic with the vectoring approaches and departures. It's soo bad, i stopped using ATC in all my flights completely

You can have a more realistic experience with FSX ATC by interacting with controllers using your voice. For that you can try the add-on called "Multi Crew Experience" (yes there is a free demo). Total voice control, not just ATC.

You need a microphone though. ;-))

as regards to gear it is supposed to be retracted after the pilot has a positive climb, and take it easy m8, its just a game

i can't make atc work on my fs2004....it dosen't tell me where i should go,heading and that stuff...what should i do...my flight are on IFR and Direct GPS

When you're creating a flight plan make sure to set it to either low attitude (Ideal for smaller planes), high attitude (Ideal for commercial planes) or VOR toVOR (Radio guided direction from each station to another).

I think Direct GPS it used for an visual route which in that case you're on your own to get to the destinated location by relying on GPS map.

um..at around 3:20..i think when you turn, you are supposed to turn the rudder which moves the front wheel, not the ailerons..
