In 8 ball, I don't think I've ever seen a pro player not use their body. You're almost soft breaking here. I suggest watching thorsten hohmann or johnny archer's 8 ball break. Even on soft breaks, you generally want some movement in your body.
The break isn't about strength, it's about timing. Getting your entire body going at once.
Wow, I had been taught to push body weight into my break and it hasn't felt natural to me....this seems like I can be more effective with just a controlled hit.
And yes, amazing set of billiard balls....LOVE the marble look!
@chrisx092 the "dot" is called the foot, and its where the front of the rack is supposed to be.
