I turn my valve off no problem, but I do get your point. Best to proceed with caution in all areas regarding water ;)

You really should turn the water valve off first, really Mr. Lazy
dont touch the valve if u dont have to...they always seem to leak after messing with them unless of course you'd also like to change the valve : )
