  • @alihammadshah "...out of the earth"

  • This is a nice compilation, being a Pakistani i have been to such places and meet these people living hard lives. Its really easy to comment but to realize the worse situations inside that country and not only Pakistan but in India Bangladesh and any third world country such similarities are found but the fact is that there is no action from the govt or the international authorities upon it. But once again a nice compilation and It would be nice if it is in a bit more detail.

  • Some of those pictures look like Fallout 3.

  • lol, good one. Obviously guy is be selective in taking pictures,

  • you are doing it too if you see this. even if youre in a library. you live in an urban society. For thousands of years humans have worked the planet. The forests of europe were gone 500 years ago. the recycling is crude and brutal. If the logistics of recyclable and biodegradable efficiency are taken into account, bioengineering may be the only way to convert our computers into degradable equipment. Are you prepared for your mouse to really squeak when you click it?

    'The Story Of Stuff'

We cannot have linear production in a circular world.

  • so this is what happens to other 12 yr olds in pakistan when an american 12 year old gets a laptop to watch hanna montana and throws away her computer.

  • Disgusting, Its amazing how they make a living off this...

  • A brilliantly created film, thank you for raising awareness of this. What is being done to tackle this problem? x

  • food for thought ... we are one

  • Pakistan has e-waste problems???

  • WE have an e-waste problem that we are sucessfully exporting to e.g. pakistan!

  • Well, the problem is that it's really Europe's e-waste, but it's just being dumped on Pakistan, as a cheap and nasty way to get around the regulations and obligations to recycle and dispose of e-waste properly that exists in Europe.

You know, it's like just throwing all your garbage over the wall into your neighbour's garden and then saying "it's not my problem", walking away from your responsibility to dispose of your own garbage properly and responsibly - except on a global scale.

  • Manufacturers should be responsible for recycling the e-waste.A cradle to grave analysis is needed on many products.

  • Agreed, the same should be said for all types of packaging aswell. It's shameful that manufacturers still produce plastics that can't be recycled.
